      This theory is exactly what I first thought of when I saw anakin in the world between worlds
      It’s the one that makes the most sense
      I feel like the world between worlds is like “the cannon”
      And anakin, and maybe even ahsoka at the end of the season will be protectors of the world between worlds and therefore protectors of “the cannon”
      I realllly hope one of the bad guys goes in there and we see a battle that goes between different crucial points in Star Wars history

    Maul definetely fits more as a replacement for the son
    Ashoka and Maul alike were thought the ways of the forc by prodigies - Anakin and the order - the light side and Sidious - the dark side. Both of them were abandoned/cast out and had to find their way. Both of them fought against each other and both of them worked together. Both of them developed a character of their own and grew to understand the force.
    Maul always seems for me like he was really in touch with his dark side, same as Ashoka was with the light. But both of them were balanced in their side of the force. Ashoka was definitely a follower of the light but she was never blinded by the light, same as maul was a follower of the dark and wasn't blinded by the dark. Both had deeper connection with the force. Both weren't afraid to understand it and see it for what it really is

      Is that a requirement? My thought was that Mortis is the will of the force. The gods serve to balance it.
      I don't think it's an Anakin Skywalker support group. If he ends up at Mortis or the world between worlds after death, he's just simply a god now.

    THE FATHER deemed Anakin the Chosen One. Tested, proven, it was never Anakin's choice except for the fact he chose his version of the "daughter" when he used the life force of the daughter to save Asokha.
    I mean come on the Father has a boy and a girl probably twins and the chosen one has twins a boy and a girl.

    • @AidanShourds

      But the daughters extension follows Ahsoka. Not Leia. Leia had force abilities but never really used them (in canon). Luke became the next Yoda like in episode 5. A Master Hermit. There's no way Luke knew the world between worlds or that deep into the force like Ahsoka and Anakin. While Luke was powerful and brought balance. Anakins death cemented his position as the new father of the force.

    • @VioletMoon4155
      @VioletMoon4155 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      Luke and Leia can't be depictions of the Son and the Daughter. Neither are dark, so they wouldn't fit the mantle of the Son.
      Ahsoka is already canonically connected to the Daughter. The Son could be anyone, but if we're going with the theme here and the relationships of the original Mortis gods, Galen Marek makes too much sense. He and Ahsoka were basically Anakin's children, one light and one dark, before Anakin/Vader knew about his actual children.
      But Galen's not canon as of now, which is the issue. If they did decide to take this route with the story though and suggest Anakin and Ahsoka are the Father and Daughter, he's really the only person who would make sense as the Son.
      The other thing to consider though is that the Daughter and the Father "passed on." Their physical bodies disappeared and became one with the Force. The Son's didn't because he represents darkness, and he didn't have that ability. So it's also quite possible that the Son is actually dead, even if the other two aren't.

      @@AidanShourds She used them several times. It's implied she was better at being a Jedi than Luke was, and that's not just in the sequels.
      Ahsoka still has plenty of time to influence Leia, and Luke did technically embrace the dark when he tried murderizing Palpatine. Vader stopped him, and they fought. Hell Anakin basically quoted him in the episode, when she said she wouldn't fight her master.
      I don't think it's a coincidence that the new balance force god has twin children, a daughter who leans towards the light and a son who brushed up several times with the dark. And both of them disappeared force ghost style when they died, iirc.

      @@AidanShourds Because Ahsoka was revived using the remaining life essence of the daughter meaning she had a part of the daughter within from that moment hence Morai follows her around as Morai did with the daughter before. And in terms of film cannon (personal desires dismissed), there is currently no clear idea to who would take the mantle of the Son, though I have seen some spectate that Balon might be up for that role. Given that his actor (may he rest in peace) has passed away, Ezra might be more likely, but that is still a long shot at the moment. He embodies the wild nature of the force. He began in the center, moved towards the light.
    In the beginning of the clone wars He began to succumb to the dark until it consumed him completely.

    What a wild coincidence that "Vader" also means "father". Maybe he was destined to take the Father's place as the master of the Light and Dark after all. Of course, I **really** doubt George had the Mortis arc in mind when he named Vader lmfao (to clarify, I don't actually think this; of course he didn't), but maybe it's one of those funny coincidences if this theory's true?

      My point is that it'd be such a fitting and cool coincidence if, as Vader, Anakin was foreshadowed as the "Father" in more ways than just being the biological father of Luke and Leia; it makes it look like he was truly destined to become the final and ultimate Mortis god, even at his darkest and lowest.

It would also make sense because the new Daughter was Anakin's Jedi apprentice, and the new Son, Galen Merek, was Vader's Sith apprentice. Not only did Galen learn love, he also felt pity for Vader. This, along with learning why Vader died, would prevent Galen from falling into the Dark Side and allowing peace in balance.

After the Sith cast him aside, he realized that they were the reason for and true target of his anger. In his quest for revenge he did bad things, and you could say it was for selfish reasons, but he was always just trying to get back at those who wronged him. I have a question for everyone that is saying Ahsoka is the daughter and Starkiller is the Son.
    When in the world did Starkiller become canon? Disney erased him from canon along with the rest of the lucasarts games and then have been reintroducing their own canon. I believe Filoni has mentioned once or twice that he would like to bring the character into canon, but nothing so far has pointed to this being true.
    The inquisitor that people thought they were going to use for a big starkiller reveal was killed off, because he was nothing more than a background character. Sam Witwer is in the credits because of a voice line he did while Ahsoka was in the temple. The armor was in andor sure, but that could easily just be an easter egg with nothing more to it.

    For those still asking;
    The Son wasn't a master of the Dark side. There aren't "sides" of the Force. Different aspects of it, sure, but the Dark Side is a corruption of the Force. Anger, Passion, aggressiveness, all this is a part of life. Letting negative emotions consume you however, that's when you begin to lose control, to become corrupted.
    The Nightsisters actually worshipped the Mortis Gods, and they had the best view on the Force, as well as Balance. It's why, unlike Sith, the Nightsisters used darker aspects of the Force, but didn't actually use the Dark Side. If anything, one could argue they were too conservative with what they had. The complete opposite of the insane greed of the sith. They all remained on Dathomir, making it easy to wipe their people out (for the most part). I get why they stayed, but it was the one mistake they made that doomed them... but that's another conversation altogether.
    The "Light" Side isn't a thing, its simply what it was called after the Dark Side became a thing. The Son's whole ARC on Mortis was him falling to the Dark Side... so many fans have misunderstood this ARC, its insane;
    Also, more Jedi than Sith isn't a bad thing. Balance isn't a numbers game with the force like so many believe.
    Balance is the Dark Side being extinguished, and the light being the OG balancing force. To reiterate, the Son of Mortis was never a master of the Dark Side, his entire story ARC was literally about him falling to the Dark, to Corruption, in the end.
    Having thousands of Jedi wasn't the issue. The way their Order was set up and functioned was the issue. The "False Light" of their Order was the issue. Anakin didn't have to slaughter their kind off to achieve balance, a reformation of the Order would've worked as well... just would've taken longer. Wiping the slate clean by annihilation of the Order and the Sith was just a more cut and dry method of doing it. Inner peace, anger, passion, etc is all important, but letting your negative emotions corrupt you... THAT is why the Dark Side is unnatural.
    Thousands of true Jedi is ideal, thousands of Sus, blinded Jedi is what the problem was. As for the Son, he was the hunter, the strength, the passion, the anger of nature. He wasn't a master of the Dark Side, otherwise his Arc would've been VERY different. He let his greed get the better of him, his emotions and list for power went out beyond his due once Anakin arrived. He saw he was wrong in the end, but with the Father and Daughter dead/dying, he likely would've been consumed by guilt, and once again fallen to the Dark. So, that's why unfortunately, Anakin still had to kill him. Someone that OP in the Force, falling to the Dark, would make even Palpatine look like a joke.

      Agreed. The way I interpreted it was the Father mistaking what balance was and thought it was Yin and Yang. He tried to tame the darkside like with the light, but that's impossible. It leads to darkside taking over everything.
      Anakin corrects that mistake by killing the darkside, and embracing the light at the end of the arc.

      Therefore to say the dark side is simply a corruption of the force I feel is incorrect, look at the night sisters would you call the way they utilized it corrupt ?
      I think when destructive power is needed we have the the dark side the destroyer the son, and when we need to breathe life into a place, grow mature nurture we have the daughter.
      The father is the whole.
      I think it’s pretty awesome if Anikan becomes the father so to speak would definitely make me pick up Ashoka

      I agree with this point. The Son had an affinity for the Dark, the Daughter for the Light. Both had both inside them, and like the Bendu the Father was the One in the Middle. The Mortis Arc was supposed to symbolize the Dark becoming ascendant, and the Son was pushed to it by his own affinity for it. This led the Daughter to make the Dark choice to kill him, giving Obi-Wan the Dagger of Mortis to kill the Son. This backlashed and led to her own death when he stabbed her, and the Son recoiled as the Light feelings of love he had for his sister led to the Father sacrificing himself and both dying. The Ones weren't controlling the force, they were manifestations of it. As it imbalanced, they became imbalanced, which led to the darkside feedback loop

      @@splashnskillz37 saying that the darkside is natural but the sith aren't is the same as saying that cancer is a natural thing for our body to develop but dying from it isn't. This distinction you're trying to make isn't real and people will often point to the Mortis arc as proof of it being true when what the episodes say is the exact opposite, the Son wasn't a manifestation of the darkside, just half of the cycle of death and rebirth that is the Force, he falls AFTER Anakin arrives because he finds out about Vader and gets tempted by all that power which leads him to becoming stronger than the Daughter and the death of all three of the Mortis gods and this is a theme among every group or society of Force users in the story, the Zeffo from Fallen Order are driven to near extinction after some of them fall to the darkside, the Witches of Dathomir are slave masters that betray everyone that aren't one of the Sisters which also lead them to be driven near extinction, a lot of Jedi and people around them die every time one of them fall to the darkside, first with Dooku, then at least two more times during the Clone Wars and finally almost all of them are killed when Anakin falls, the Sith themselves are only forced to adopt the Rule of Two because big groups always led to infighting and betrayals, the darkside IS the entire problem but this doesn't mean that a Jedi can't be angry or scared, that's not what the darkside is (which is what the Jedi Order forgot), it just means the Jedi cannot let those feelings control them, they don't need to suppress their fear, they need to find the courage to confront it, they don't need to suppress their anger but find the kindness to forgive whoever made them angry and they don't need to suppress their sadness but find reasons to be happy despite that, THIS is balance, failing to do any of this and giving into those negative feelings leads to corruption and the darkside.
      As a fun fact I took this three examples from actual scenes in the story, the first and second are from Yoda at the end of CW season 6 and, obviously, Luke at the end of RotJ but the third I actually took from the Kenobi show during his final fight against Vader so even Disney SW is still adhering to this concept. Another example of fear being overcome is Ahsoka in the WBW, Anakin isn't using the darkside, he's reflecting Ahsoka's fears and traumas, symbolized by her eyes glowing orange when the red saber reflects on them and, since she's able to overcome that trial and therefore her own darkness, immediately after that she changes from the grey clothes (mix of black/darkness and white/light) to white clothes to show that she's now at peace with herself and Anakin or in other words, in balance

      And yet, we have a group called Night Sister, whose leader is a Night Mother. Seems very much like Night Sister Magic is a corrupted version of The Force and would fit pretty well with Aboleth.
      Especially, if we are getting a story of Anakin as a new Mortis God. If Aboleth still exists, Anakin killed her family in Clone Wars.

    As much as i would hate Ezra to be turned, this theory still makes sense which means Ezra as the son is plausible. But where would the series go from here if now we are dealing with three family celestials? There is a lot more story telling with the other characters though, like Jacen, the ghost crew, Kanan's Lothal wolf life force, Sabine, and so much more

    I like this theory a lot, and I think it just makes too much sense. I think it also addresses the issue of "balance" in the Force, which is something people have debated endlessly about.
    Here's my take: I don't think "light and darkness" are akin to the "light side/Jedi" and the "dark side/Sith". Without institutions like the Sith and the Jedi Order, light and darkness "just is." There is no corruption attached.
    So the way I interpret the Mortis arc is that light and darkness are the natural order and aren't corrupt in and of themselves. The Father even explains this to Anakin when he's explaining their history: He says that "too much dark or light would be the undoing of life as you understand it." Balance, according to Mortis and The Father, is a "balance" between light and darkness, between creation and destruction. Not necessarily even-keel, but one cannot exist in harmony without the other. And as I mentioned before, he also said that organized factions, like the Sith, have corrupted their power and natural order. And based on what he said, the same thing can probably be said about the Jedi Order, especially in relation to the High Republic and its corruption of the light.
    The only reason The Son was corrupted by the "dark side" (again, not the same as "darkness" on its own) was because of Anakin's arrival and the burden of knowing Anakin's future. He allowed his vision to corrupt him. But had Anakin never arrived, he, his father, and his sister would have continued to live in their natural state. And also, not many people notice this... but The Daughter was also corrupted in that episode. Her selflessness compelled her to show Obi-Wan where the dagger was to control her brother. Had they not retrieved the dagger, the events wouldn't have played out the way they did. No one dies.
    So I do believe that for there to be true "balance," darkness and light both have to exist, even if the scales aren't exaclty even. Anakin embodies that, and him embodying The Father would fulfill his destiny as The Chosen One per the definition set by The Father. And given that Ahsoka already canonically embodies The Daughter, it would make perfect, poetic sense for Galen Marek to embody The Son. Because even though both of them would be the embodiment of light and dark, that doesn't mean they're corruptible. Ahsoka left The Order, and Marek left the Sith; and in turn, they let go of their corruption and forged their own path. And they're connected to each other through Anakin, The Father, as his two apprentices: one light, one dark.
    I'd say that's about as close as Filoni could get to embodying The Mortis gods in the flesh.

  • @OldWhitebelly
    @OldWhitebelly 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I love this theory; it's as good as any others out there, although I still suspect Filoni has some other surprise in store.
    For decades, SW has talked about "balance" between the light and dark, while also equating dark with evil. Surely the healthy position for the SW Universe isn't one where evil has an equal place at the table. This is the sort of paradox you get when you take some 70s-era catchprases (like the Force) and a few good-sounding lines and extend them to infinity. I'm sure also that Gl would not have said back in 1975 that Evil should have an equal place alongside Good. It's been interesting watching Gl and generations of other writers try and get around the paradox. Without success so far, I'll add.

    Just a random thought. What if Baylan AND Marrok = Galen Marrek (somehow with B also sorta being Joruus), and Shin will become the new dark side balance, since the name can mean "belief, faith, trust, new, true, or God; depending on which culture pulled from. The surnames, Skoll and Hati, origin could be assumed and not given, to reflect some chosen path based off some myth or maybe spiritual-Loth wolf name similar to our Nordic myths. Using the Marrok parallels to our mythology and his interpretation, I can't help but shake the wolf symbolism between the three still means something. If any of that makes sense.

    2:00 also this is most likely why studious and Vader were so strong there weren’t meny dark side users left as the Jedi had done their job so well, also this is why Luke was so strong by wiping out so meny light side force users in such a short time the force focused on the few light side users left and pumped added strength into them in a effete to restore the balance.

      Problem with this is the dark side is a corruption of the force and using it even if your intentions are good at first is corruptive. The more you draw upon the dark side, the more it rots your spirit and becomes addictive to draw upon.
      Look at both legends and canon good dark jedi or sith are very very very rare. The jedi have their faults through history such as orthdoxy, zealots and others but even at their worst they never hit the peaks of depravity those that fell to the dark side ever did.
