Since that happened I have spent weeks researching phones and comparing the specs and drawbacks etc and still haven't come to a conclusion. 😂 However, Poco and Xiaomi phones have started to look very attractive to me because of the bang for buck you get in terms of specs and style. I just have reservations about support and quality. It's nice to be able to watch a no-bs tech reviewer though, so thank you, Mr.Spurt. Your videos have helped me in eliminating certain phones and totting up the drawbacks etc.
Have a look at the Xiaomi 11T Pro, it's a pretty great phone. Poco F3 is also a lovely Xiaomi phone that the community adores. Can't go wrong with neither.

Decent cameras (with pro mode and support for RAW), decent screen res, SD card slot, headphone jack, physical fingerprint scanner, fast charging and the Kirin chip still performed quite well after a few years. I was almost tempted to just buy another but, I thought that if I am going to buy a new phone then I may as well get something that is a bit of an upgrade.
Thank you for your review on this phone. Because of it, I upgraded from a tired Huawei P30 pro and so far have to say am suitably impressed. Ok the camera isn't as good as the P30 but it's better in every other way. The 17 minute charging speed is out of this world!! Keep up the good work, love watching your review videos!
@@Skiddog. yeah I've found this out myself. I tend to use my old Huawei charger now most of the time and the battery lasts so much longer during the day. The fast charger is great but the battery percentage drops so fast.
I got the early bird special on the 12 + 256 GB version for $530 USD. The ONLY thing missing from it is an IP68 rating, it does have IP53. But it's a $900-$1500 phone for less than $550. You can't beat that.

I bought this phone last week. I'm so happy with this phone except the very fast and strong specs it's so smooth and software experience is so good. A lot of good features on it. It feels like my OnePlus 7 when I bought. So happy I really recommend this.
Their launch video mentioned an early bird €100 discount for both RAM/storage options. At that price the 12GB + 256GB model seems impressive when compared to price of One Plus 10 Pro and Samsung 22+. Are they worth the extra money though, for better camera? I'm only a casual (Xbox Game Pass) gamer, looking to upgrade from a OnePlus 6T.
@@x0vg5hs1 I'd say Samsung is way better in terms of software than most other android brands, especially Xiaomi.. but I would never plug my phone into my tv and I don't know a single person that would. I'm not saying it's a completely useless feature, but for most people it is. Fast charging on the other hand would be important for almost everyone and 25W fast charging in 2020 is not enough on a phone that costs over 200$.. yes I know about the fake 45W support that Samsung has, but that charges with 25W which is proven by multiple tests.

It's hardware related, custom ROMs can't do sheet... But all this tech salesman I mean, reviewers won't tell the truth... Imagine receiving phones every monto so you make videos for your channel and they sell devices .... Win win for salesman and brands ...
@@jkn2k I have had bad experiences with that anyways, last time I had problems like that with the Yu Yutopia, a 2015 flagship with the snapdragon 810, I feel like it is a software issue on that, 'cause that definitely has a proximity sensor and also has battery issues because of the software. It still lasts almost a day, from 100% to 50%.. and then turns of 'cause of a cache issue, it would literally be a 2 day phone with that fixed but oh well. Btw Yu doesn't but it's parent company Micromax still exists and makes phones, haven't yet topped that awesome and unique Yutopia yet tho. The cache issue on it is fixable btw, I'm just lazy. lol Sorry for the random topic and thanks for the heads up.
@@darling_yext The proximity sensor detects when a user is holding the phone near their face during a call and turns off the display to prevent keypad presses and battery consumption from the display. The proximity/light sensor is located to the right of the earpiece.
Bought the cheaper 8gb/128gb version, and I still can't believe just how much Xiaomi have packed into the device, for the crazy bargain price it sells for!
Its good, hopefully they fixed or improved the cobs from Poco F3 in this one. As good as it is for gaming, it hopefully does just as good as a daily driver.

Hi, during the poco f4 gt presentation, they said something about battery optimization where the battery could stop at 80% while you are sleeping and start charging to 100% before you waking up. Meaning, the phone have the capability to stop the charging at certain percentage. My question is does the phone have any setting in it that could force the charging to stop at 80% or certain lever all the time?

You should buy the global version if you live in Europe because the Chinese version doesn't come with antenna bands that can be used in any country. You can check other TH-cam vidoes about this phone sometimes they provide a link to buy the phone on their description.

Very often. I've had Poco phones, I have this right now and it's 100% getting at least 2 OS updates along with the quarterly security patch and could be 3 OS updates.
What exactly do you mean "the screen can scratch up easily" ? Like when you wake up you go ahead and use a drill on your phone screen? Keys and Nails can't scratch it, it's as far a screen durability for an every day person use goes
The beauty with this one is it is cheaper than K50 Gaming but missing the MIUI features like game space extra features and certification by JBL. If I'm not mistaken the JBL logo is marked near the bottom speaker. Other than that, this device is a good contender for a budget gaming SD8g1.

Be careful overusing fast charge, cripples your battery on the long run, I would just use it when in need.

It's another flagship killer from Poco. That's what they do. All that's really missing is wireless charging and power share.
There is no new Samsung phone that is actually worth it over any Xiaomi or other brands, except the S22 Ultra 'cause of the pen.

You should buy the global version if you live in Europe because the Chinese version doesn't come with antenna bands that can be used in any country. You can check other TH-cam vidoes about this phone sometimes they provide a link to buy the phone on their description.
