Operated by Delaware Lackawanna & Western then to Erie Lackawanna with the 1960 metger with the Erie Railroad then to ConRail in 1976 and finally to New Jersey Transit in 1983.

    Bartlett NH and it’s not abandoned, it’s owned by CSR and the Bartlett station is down the tracks a few hundred or 500 feet, a school and 302 through the town of Bartlett and headed West is Harts Location and Crawford Notch and that train station there. Lots of black bears In That area and waited for one to greet you. They sleep in the train cars.

    The way the chairs allow you to switch from all forward to table like configuration is super cool. I went to a Roundhouse and they had similar cars there as in the video. You simply push, with great effort, on the backs of the chairs and they change direction. Both the back of the seat and the footrest.

    • @Greatdome99
      @Greatdome99 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are called "walkover seats" and are designed to flip from forward facing to rearward facing. They are certainly unstable in the "table" mode!
      Note that many were the original rattan upholstery .

Or maybe the story of a 1920's Broadway fashion designer . maybe can show you a couple ghost towns too. Can't forget about a well known Movie filming spots

      The town of Bartlett and a school is just through the trees route 302 runs through there plus the Bartlett train station just a couple hundred feet down the track. It’s actually trespassing and not abandoned since the Railroad owns it. There’s black bears that hangout inside and around that train and sleep inside.

    Sad this is how they dispose of old equipment, just leave it in a forest somewhere...much of the metal could be scrapped and reused elsewhere...this really sets a bad example for the nation as a whole.

      It’s not disposed of or abandoned, it’s the town of Bartlett and on the other side of the tracks is a school, stores and homes and the train station and Fire department down the tracks a few hundred feet and its owned by the railroad and it’s no trespassing on RR tracks.
