That is tough to say tv shows of all time. Now of mini-series on tv it is in the argument with the original 70's Shogun and John Adams, also by Tom Hanks studio. The latter is a great one to check out with an amazing cast. Stephen Dillane of GoT fame as Stanis Baratheon plays an incredible Thomas Jefferson. It is the completely opposite of Stanis.
“Cannon”??? This is a 100% true story. Every person portrayed in “Band of Brothers” is a real person. What you’re watching actually happened to these men. The vets interviewed in the beginning of each episode are the real people that are being portrayed in the series. . “Saving Private Ryan” is a completely fictional story.
What? No way. I haven't even pressed play yet And I'm telling them to hurry up and upload all 10 episodes and not wait forever to upload each episode like so many other dumb reactors do.. And then I see you say this.. 😂😂 doesn't surprise me anymore.. some reactors are just.. I don't know why anyone would think we want to watch the first 15 minutes and that's it. 🤦♂️
Hope you enjoy the whole series. The Pacific has different real characters, but without the real interviews up front, a more brutal war. Masters of the Air was made years later, again no real interviews up front, a different war again. But all three convey genuine slices of real WWII.

Interesting fact about Winters that gives a big idea as to why he was such a good leader...he enlisted in August of 1941 and completed training as an enlisted man, then he remained at the camp where he helped train other men after him. He was selected for Officer Candidate School in April 1942, and after he finished that training and became an officer in July 1942 he volunteered for the Airborne...so when we see him as a Platoon Leader in Easy, that is his third set of training that Winters is undergoing. Also...fun fact...just about every Regiment in the US Army had an "Easy" company, because "easy" was just the military phonetic for the letter E and the standard structure of a US Army Regiment in WW2 was 9 companies that were lettered from A or Able thru I or Item or India. So all of those regiments had an B or Baker Company, they all had D or Dog Company, and they all had an E or Easy Company...and so forth.
If you're going all the way with this...be prepared to grow, laugh, learn and suffer with these characters. The first episode is in some ways my favorite, if only for the innocence and the fact that I know what lies ahead for these men. This was when their biggest threats were "Army noodles with ketchup." I love the power move Winters makes by literally grabbing the pen out of Sobel's hand while he was abusing his power...it's brilliant, and a true story. Hard to call this a TV show honestly, it's a 12 hour Saving Private Ryan in quality...CURRAHEE! ♠
David Schwimmer was great in this. I had the same reaction when I saw him on this show for the first time, because I'd only known him as Ross from Friends. But he did such a good job of being a complete hard ass, that I quickly forgot about Ross and could only think about how much I disliked Sobel.
After this you guys better do The Pacific! Its about the US Marine Corp fighting the Japanese during their island hopping campaign. Its alot more dark and grim than the European theatre in a way because the American Army atleast got leave to actual cities while the marines were basically surrounded by Mud, Blood, and Corpses most of the time. Made by the same people as this show.

The EASY company that we follow here is in the 2nd battalion of the 506 th!! Private Ryan, when he identified himself to Tom Hanks' character, said he was in 1st of 506th!! So, Private Ryan would be amongst THESE men that were gathering to get on these planes to jump in the very early morning hours of June 6th 1944!!!
I hope to God these guys don't take forever to upload these episodes. There are only 10.. So many reactors for some reason think it's a good idea to release their reactions once every few weeks or once a month or something just because there's only 10 😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ please just release them quickly. Only being 10 and all.. If it went on for seasons and seasons and seasons then yes releasing them every few weeks would be okay but it doesn't.

I just finished masters of the air actually, had its moments, but nothing is ever going to live up to BoB.
