    I will admit, I've probably ignored Towa for too long before she started doing FPS games with the EN girls, so I don't know how she started, but DAMN, she's cute and sweet.
    Also, she and Mumei must be talking a SHIT-LOAD outside of streams, because I literally cannot believe they are improving this fast at English/Japanese otherwise.
    I love the lessons, it's a sweet idea to help them both learn, it's super cute, and I *always* love how happy it makes members from both branches when they interact using a different language.
    (Watch any EN&JP collab where neither member are bilingual, and watch HOW HAPPY AND SMILEY they get when, for example, the EN girl says something in Japanese. The Huge Smile on the JP girls faces are always so precious.)
    I just adore the cross-language/branch interaction, okay? >/////

      Towa-sama has always had very good pronunciation, is just that her vocab is very limited, something that she has also said about her Japanese; I think one of her advantages in learning English is that her chat used to be pretty much only English for the, I think most of her first year.

      I'm not sure if Chinese has characters that Japanese doesn't tho, so I did a quick search of the word with the most strokes in my dictionary (齉), and it's not in rikaikun nor does it seem to be a word in Japanese.

    This reminds me of a time when one of my friends told me that people (foreigner or local) who can read and write full or mostly kanji sentences are somewhat placed at a higher pedestal in terms of reading and writing. Is this even true? Personally, I'd say it's impressive enough if someone can do so in hiragana or katakana since I barely understand the Japanese writing system at all.

    • @Knoloaify
      @Knoloaify 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Even Japanese people themselves will sometime forget how some kanjis are written or won't be able to read particularly difficult/niche kanji. A good chunk of their education also has to be spent learning kanji. So I guess that someone being able to use more kanji will be seen as impressive.
      Or unbearably pretentious and annoying since it can also make sentences needlessly complicated to read when you start using the kanji equivalent for all the words usually written in hiragana.

    • @konaccha
      @konaccha 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hiragana and Katakana are like the alphabet, you can sound it out by the characters. Kanji you either know it or don't. There's nothing (unless it has furigana) to tell you how to pronounce it, so it's pure memorization. Unlike Chinese, Japanese Kanji can have multiple readings/pronunciations which adds to the difficulty. So yes, if you can read and write Kanji, that is more impressive than Hiragana/Katakana
