- End of game walk around a 3-player game with Will and Chris as Barbarians and Carthage deliberately ganging up on me as Rome to see if I could cope with it. Turns out I can. The basic game will gace the wooden pieces for regional improvements, the Gamefound backers get the delux models. One of 7 superb games this last 2 weeks. Going well.

I just found the Gamefound Proejct for Total War Rome Boardgame but its hard to find reviews about the game and if its worth the late pledge. What are your thoughts on this, is it worth ?
Simon made the game, so his answer is likely yes. There is a fan made tabletop simulator version you can play that has an outdated rulebook included in it if you want to test it out yourself.
I get the impression that all the mechanics are simple but come together in a way that adds a lot of diverse situations and choices. And with the faction pack, you could play anywhere from solo to roughly 20 players.
Love that you added roads as infrastructure. I backed this game with all the goodies and look forward to playing it.
Fantastic. I am sure you will really enjoy it. Found a way to make roads work nicely and in a simple way. Markets, Barracks and Walling all playing a big part in the game. Adding "Ancient Wonder" as the 5th ultimate build. Very happy with the economic and regional development rules and components now. Game looks great as well with all the developing items appearing on the board. I have found a way to take some things off the map which will make them stand out even more.
