      You are right, six months ago I broke up with my husband, and I moved to the island of Puerto Rico, and I recently blocked him on social media after a 10 year painful relationship because of alcohol, it is like this song is talking to me, telling me not to answer his messages just stay here in my island and don’t let him win, very deep.

    The music today doesn't stand a chance against the 80"s. Back in the 80's a song was written because of something going on in their lives. I would love to spend a week in the 80's again! Every song on the radio was a hit! I miss it.

      @@olanlabuenatierra2534 the talent is still out there, the industry won't nurture it. They'd rather have an assembly line of robots, singing the same songs, with different words and auto tune. My advice, go indie, look for artists like Matthew Sweet and Josh Rouse.
      Heck Cheap Trick, just put out a release called, In Another World and it sounds as timeless as ever. Forget what you knew about them in the 80s, they sound like they did when they first came out now. Radio won't touch it because of their age. Sadly, it's not about being good or bad anymore. The business part of the show, is to heavy and the balance has been wrecked.

    Whenever I hear this song, it makes me think of someone who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, and the angst loved ones are feeling, for that person suffering from this dreaded disease. Almost always bring a tear to my eyes, despite not having anyone who suffers from it. It's the thought of one day having to cross that awful bridge, in one direction or the other. SO POWERFUL!!

    • @tred698
      @tred698 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then the love ones do not understand its a disease that broke the bridge. It is not the person who can choose to have Alzheimer. The patient suffers as much if not more than his love ones. I think deep down... the soul of the patient is also tormented by this loneliness.

  • @marieblue

    Authored by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson, “Don’t Answer Me” (1984) was produced in a Phil Spector style as A PARODY OF THE “WALL OF SOUND” TECHNIQUE (created in the 1960s), complete with plenty of instruments and echo. By modeling a hit sound, the band crafted a hit of their own❗️
    Woolfson was the lead vocalist on this. But an assortment of other vocalists were used, as Parsons liked to vary the lead singers so the listeners wouldn’t get weary of hearing the same voice from one piece to the next…
    ONE MASTER STROKE THROUGH AND THROUGH‼️ 💙🎼💜
    May you rest in peace, Eric Norman Woolfson (1945 - 2009)… 🌹

    I believe that some music has a way of reminding us of all the beautiful things in the world. This is one of those songs. Earth music. I think beings from other planets in other realities would love this if they werent lucky enough to have its existence in their reality.

    This song will always remind me of Jasmin Estrella. I fell in love with her in 2008 on MySpace and we met in 2009 and went on an incredible journey together until our bitter end in 2017. I will always miss her and love her. We gave it up in a moment of madness and threw it all away. :(
