The HBO show is bonkers but fun.
Drove a white Fiero GT in the late 80's and threw a ski rack on top with skis locked in yet never once drove it to the mountain (not the greatest car in the snow).. Just wanted to re-enact the scene from For Your Eyes Only where Sir Roger Moore is driving to the Miramonti. Yep, I needed help.

The location is beautiful looks like somewhere Bond would go to it has escapist qualities but I agree with Danielle I don't see Bond eating plants and hanging out with plastic people with fake body parts. He wouldn't want body parts exploding on the job. I got a good feel for what it was like being there and that's good enough for a Bond related video. Much of Bond is about escapism

Acually, this video was helpful because we are headed to Cancun (The Vine) very soon. Our why is also relaxation and rejuvenation. I unexpectedly lost both my parents last October within 10 days of each other. The past 4 months has been an emotional roller coaster of being the executor of a complicated estate. We are exhausted. I'm glad you had a great experience and that Danielle didn't fall off a boat at the end!

I did almost the identical trip an hour away in Tulum Mexico in November. My wife and I crafted our own Goldeneye style vacation and spent half a week living on the beach and the other half living in a glass cabin obove the Jungle tree line like a Bond villain or an Ernest Hemingway safari. Only difference was we ate and drank our way through it all. We also visited the temples and Ruins there and at Chichinitza. But yes the Instagramers are annoying.but It did allow me to parade my OB toweling gear as well

In response to your question about the plant based food, the point of meat substitutes is that pretty much everyone loves the taste and texture of meat, just not everyone feels the need to kill an animal to achieve it (or something that tastes similar). Substitutes often contain more protein etc too

I think your wife nailed it on the vibe of this resort, not Bond! One thing that we do is never go to a trendy resturant or hotel as you will encounter these folks, been there done that unless our children (twenty somethings) drag us to these places for their birthdays. Old school all the way, including resturants and hotels we learned the hard way. We did enjoy this clip and had a chuckle as we been in that situtation before.

As both you and Joe Darlington have pointed out, living "like" Bond isn't the same as mimicking Bond's every move. Rather, it's about tweaking one's lifestyle so as to obtain the most out of every experience. And, it looks to me like you've done just that. So, you still had a Bond Experience.
Besides, one should be careful how closely one mimics Bond's lifestyle. Bond was almost certainly based on Fleming himself, as both men smoked like chimneys, drank like fish and dined on high fat/high cholesterol food. Fleming didn't make it to 60 and neither would Bond have done so if he was real. So, let Bond live like David Zaritsky.

David, David, David...plant-based meat analogs aren't for vegans - they are for people like you exploring this way of eating. It's to help to transition to plants. They are "healthier" than meat because they usually have no cholesterol and have fiber. But it's like a sex toy - people use them because it can bring pleasure, fill a need, and nobody
gets hurt. I've been plant-based for over 10 years and feel amazing at 57. If you want tips, let me know. Just increasing plants in your diet can be so beneficial to you, the animals and the environment. I'm sure your wife could create amazing dishes that leave out the meat and dairy.
Maybe some of these resorts could contact EON and get an actor to play a villain with a villainous accent who goes 'he he he' and tells you he is going to launch his deadly plan for world domination and you can't do anything to stop it? Great video! You are recording these images very well and worthy of the Bond films. :0)

A little long for me, but not too long....
Going to the bathroom a lot is not a bad thing, actually it's healthier. I was a vegetarian for a decade and I had to stop for other health reasons but semi-plant base, a clean colon is a good thing. By the way, Daniela is hilarious! And if you want a place for Daniela... Mykonos... just saying😉
