Hey Gigi! I lived in MA (Concord , the birthplace of the Revolutionary war, and Newburyport on the coast) AND I lived in NH, Hampton Beach (surprise! on the coast) and Manchester. I am currently in KY! I adore the 3 pinks, but I need a blue! The Nov. color is gorgeous! I love that you show your new colors with the NMP colors, it's so helpful! And I can not wait for my Advent box!! You are such a tease! Gigi is too 😂! And Sherry's story ❤️. She writes so well.
What a great story Sherry shared. I so appreciate her sharing the gift of writing that she’s been given and your willingness to share it with us. Thank you both.
A wonderful story and so true. I am sure that if Sherry visited the UK now she would find plenty of yarn shops. Generally we use the word needles but I have heard them called pins. Love the colour of the November yarn. 🇬🇧
oh my gosh... Gigi, what a delight she is. I love laughing when she starts talking in her way that is so fun. Come back Gigi!!!!! Then Charlotte comes on, what a doll she is with some great ideas that I can almost see moving around in her sweet little head. Love the whole video but, those 2 girls make my day. xoxo
Thanks for our nice little visit. That bread looked amazing! I really can hardly wait for the Avent calendar. What a lot of work you have put into this for us. You and your family is amazing. What a story! It is so true! Just a beautiful story. Your sweater is beautiful. I am almost to the sleeves on my Audrey sweater. I'm making long sleeves. Have a great week
It makes me so happy everytime I see the AR mug. That was designed by my friend Lorri, the owner and dyer of Arkansas Yarn Co for the yarn crawl last year. Now I wish I knew who Tara was so I can add another fellow fiber friend.
Good Morning Devin, this is Barbara De Matteo from Walnut, Calif., I had a beautiful Ceremony of Life Sunday for Phil. It was a beautiful day and I just wanted to share it with you. Your new November yarn colors are Sooo pretty. I may have to buy some.
That sour dough bread sounded (crunching) amazing. Yum! I love that you have Christmas music playing already. I usually start about now too. Your wintery decor is adorable. I'm so excited for the advent and your ornament patterns. Your girls are adorable. Many thanks to Gigi for being your trusty helper even though she gets paid. What a sweet "so here's what happened" story. It's pure truth.
I loved your podcast today. And the story was so good. Thank you for sharing it! I love so much that you have created a space where we can share our knitting and our faith. ❤🙏❤️
What an absolutely beautiful story. It bought tears to my eyes. I am watching a little behind but what incredible timing. Our family is dealing with some health problems related to my brother. Today is a particular difficult day. This was the perfect time for me to hear that story and remember who our designer is and what He can do.
I am so excited about my Advent Calendar. Knowing Gigi packed it up for me makes it a little more special❣️ I loved that the Advent has a swatch that will become a mug rug. Is mug rug what you said ?🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Sherry’s story was so warm and touching. How awesome to know we can put our all into The Great Hands that knit us together❣️ We are truly blessed. Thank you Devin for another great podcast. Have a wonderful week‼️
Hi Devin here in UK call knitting pins needles and Sherri is right about yarn stores here, we used to have them but no more, in my town the are a couple of large stores selling yarn but it’s very expensive. I buy my yarn online, both hand died and commercial yarn. Loved sherri’s story, especially the part about life’s tapestry as it’s so true 😊😊
As always great episode!!! That sourdough bread looks amazing!! Charlotte is the cutest…love her knitting!! I really enjoy all your projects! My plan was to join the Audrey Sweater KAL but life got in the way! I’m so behind on my knitting 😢. I have the Audrey pattern so I will make it soon!
Re: knitting a sweater on DPNs…the Coast Salish tribes on Vancouver Island knit their traditional and beautiful Cowichan sweaters using all DPNs. Years ago I saw an incredible TH-cam documentary called “The Story of the Coast Salish Knitters.” Sadly the video is no longer available, but there are other shorter videos that come up when you do a search.
Shetland knitters tend to use super long dpns, and then brace one end on a leather pouch they wear on a belt. Apparently it helps with speed and wrist stress. The fastest knitter in the world uses this method. :) I actually got a set at a yarn festival, but I haven’t tried them yet.
Hi Devin, Charlotte, and GiGi, I ALWAYS watch your podcasts (delightfully so), but forget too many times to click “thumbs up”. So many beautiful makings with your gorgeous yarns. The segments are so interesting and enjoyable. I’ve not had much time to knit as my Brother has had many health issues and lived MANY states away. I am so THANKFUL to God that I could take care of him even so far away. He has since passed, and today’s “So here’s what happened” story touched my heart so deeply…..may I ask if it’s possible to get a copy? I would be ever so grateful. Thank you ❤️
I’m so sorry for the loss of your brother. How tragic. ❤ I would be more than happy to send you a copy of Sherrie’s story - I’m sure she wouldn’t mind. Send me an email and I will forward it to you! ❤
Would you ever consider designing a shawl with the same symbols as your Benedicta sweater? I would love to use the symbols in a prayer shawl for a friend of mine who just lost her son, and her daughter in law who lost her husband. I think they would be very knit worthy. Now, I wouldn't expect you to jump in and do it immediately, I would have to come up with something on my own. But for future reference, I think it would be a wonderful thing. Also, I was watching another Podcaster this morning, and she said a viewer was using her little Saint charms as stitch markers and using them for prayer and meditation as she knit, and she thought it was a lovely idea and was also going to do that. I think I will do that too, and then give them the charms with the shawl.
For Gigi😘. I don't like favoritism but I'm geriatric with half brain. Did u know u can live with just one hemisphere of ur brain? (And b normal😊). That's this week's science question... lol Thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for swatch and roving answers.
So those of us who live in Massachusetts, consider ourselves Bay Staters or Bostonians (especially those in the suburbs). However, the very little known and even less used, proper term is “Massachusettsan". Ridiculous! Just call us Bostonians! 😆
@christinaellzey1316 do you live outside the 495 loop? I do now as well, although I grew up on the North Shore, hence Bostonian. But you are right, I think I would tend to say I am from MA rather than use a term!🤣
Incredible story. So true. That brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful. All the best to everyone, Kimberly
The best knitting story!!!
That knitting story gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. God had made us all beautiful and unique. We are fearfully and wonderfully made!
What a beautiful story!! Trusting Jesus to lead our stitches in life make for a magnificent tapestry

Wow - Sherrie and I are honored! ❤
Boy, you can tell Charlotte and Gigi are sisters; they have the same mannerisms. So fun!
Do they??? That’s so funny. They are SO different!
I just knit the last raglan increase on my Audrey while watching this. Separating the sleeves now. Woohoo!

Briar is a sort of Scottish tree
I’m from Massachusetts! We will have to send u a mug!❤

I always think my sourdough is awful. I announce it to everyone before I bake because I also like to underpromise and overdeliver 😂
Yep - Gigi too! ❤
Can you please show your November color in a knit swatch? Thank you
I really want to knit a whole sweater in it!!! ❤
Hello from Mounds, Illinois.
Is there a pattern for the crown?? I can think of a few princesses and queens that would love it!!

Hi Devin, Shetland traditional knitters call their needles “wires”.
I'm in England and most people call them knitting needles, I know the term pins though
What flour does Gigi usually use for her sourdough?
Hey Siobhan! I think she uses regular AP flour from Costco. We buy the 25 lb bag. 😂😂😂
For Gigi😘. I don't like favoritism but I'm geriatric with half brain. Did u know u can live with just one hemisphere of ur brain? (And b normal😊). That's this week's science question... lol Thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for swatch and roving answers.

Welllll, outside the 495 loop you are not a Bostonian! We also dont call ourselves that Massachusettsan. We just say we are from MA. 😘
