It's kinda interesting to now know that savitar actually talked his way out of barry killing himself since the only reason thawne is still around is because he's not affected by time changes due to the negative speed force which savitar doesnt have.
@@TheBohobemeister he didn't. As you can see at 2:06 he was a little bit nervious after Barry asked what would happen if he kills himself. Savitar didn't knew for sure so he just played a little mind game with Barry to outsmart him.
Flashpoint changes and add many things. Savitar was one of the changes (or that's what he said himself), except it didn't make sense because Thawne came from the OG timeline where Savitar exist
This season made no sense. If Barry killing himself doesn't change Savitar existing, than Savitar also doesn't need to kill Iris to make Barry go dark.
It's simple, he was bullshitting because he knew Barry would legit kill himself to get rid of him. Look at his expression when Barry suggests it, that slight flinch, he knew Barry was serious so he had to come up with something fast.
@@TheScarletWing2490 But that is only possible if alternate timelines don't exist at all. Therefore time remnants also cannot exist in this time travel model. You cannot destroy your time remnant by killing yourself because he's from a different timeline which is why he is not affected by you dying in this timeline. Which is why Savitar cannot be affected by Barry killing himself because otherwise it would be impossible to even create time remnants in the firts place. Savitar has no reason to kill Iris for the same reason. By travelling back in time Savitar already changed the timeline. He was born in a different timeline where Iris died. But this Iris is not from his timeline. This is Iris from CURRENT timeline. So it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AT ALL for Savitar to kill her to create himself in the current timeline. Because then TWO Savitars would exist - one from current timeline, and one from the previous one. Basically Savitar would become his own time remnant. The showrunners had included so much bullshit in this show that they lost track of this themselves.
@@ripLunarBirdCLH we don't know exactly how time travel operates in this show. It's been pretty solidified that the timeline is being rewritten every time you travel back in time, which is why Savitar, Thawne and Nora disappeared when key factors for their existence have been altered. Same with pre-Flashpoint Barry disappearing when he saved his mother and then when Thawne killed her again. There's no evidence to suggest that alternate timelines exist in this world. Possible uncertain futures, yes, but those get erased if the timeline is changed. It isn't all bullshit it just gets hard to follow sometimes. Reverse Flash is the only anomaly because keep in mind that when he got erased, a singularity had formed to swallow up the timeline because he was essential to the integrity of the timeline. Stopping the singularity resulted in Thawne himself becoming a paradox, which is why his timeline is now separated from the main timeline because he NEEDS to exist at least until a certain point in time. In other words, he himself or rather his very existence has become a "fixed point in time". After that, well, Speedsters who die or get erased return to the Speed Force, and they CAN come back out and revive themselves. But it's hard. Which is why Thawne created the Negative Speed Force to make himself immune to timeline changes. He said it himself, the Negative Speed Force protects people from paradoxes erasing them, but they have to be inside of it for it to work.
I know the explanation about Savitar origin been revealed which means there is no end, its like a loop. This still confuses some Flash fans but I think the writer should’ve made it easier. Here is my own theory if I was the writer of Flash and I want my fans to understand the show. I will just go for this… Read it The Flash Fans. Savitar is the Time Remnant Flash that sacrificed himself to save the multiverse and defeated zoom. That TM died as shown in season 2x23 (he faded away in dust). While Barry confronted Savitar in season 3x20, here is what Savitar said: after defeating zoom, the TM barry created died but would’ve stayed that way but Barry decided to play God and created Flashpoint that changed everything. (pause here). Here is my other understanding, when Barry created Flashpoint, I was guessing it changed the TM’s faith (sacrificed during zoom race fight) but instead that TM survived and went back to Flash team, while our Barry continues enjoying his life with his team flash and Iris. When the TM went back to the flash team, they were clear to know he is not the real flash because of the scar in his face, so they said he is just time aberration (disposable hero) and they shunned him and that drove him rage and crazy (he was broken, filled with rage and alone) that after all his sacrifice for the multi-universe and defeating zoom, they still shunned him. He then travels back in time to kill Iris - what is the motives for a TM to want to kill Iris? what is the connection? well, I will explain this now, the only way to break Barry Allen is to kill someone he truly loves. That was Savitar’s motive, he wants the same Barry to go crazy now instead of the future (2024), and this same Barry will then create TMs to help fight Savitar. Savitar will kill all TMs but leaving just one TM behind, that himself. (This loop will continue to happen over and over). Savitar said he needed two things to happen before he can be born, 1. He wants Iris dead (that will break Barry Allen, he will go dark and evil. Then he will create TMs to fight this present Savitar instead of 2024).
As they say, what came first? the egg or the chicken? It's all a loop theory, the only thing I can say is, Savitar traveled in time, he built his own reputation and became the first speedster. Why I said that was, At one point after 2017, the rogue time remnant of future Barry Allen time traveled to the past and found the stone, which he used to create his armor and named himself Savitar, the God of Speed. However, his original self from the future trapped him in the Speed Force using the Speed Force bazooka, and left the stone buried in a temple in the past. Savitar is not yet fully born, he got the stone when present Barry threw the stone in the speed force and that was when Barry overran to see the future, he told Jay Garrick, Savitar was not even supposed to be there. In my opinion, I think life continues where Barry never knows the future, TM took the Philosopher stone in the speed force, used it to build a suit, go to other universe to conquer all speedsters then naming himself the god of speed.
Grant is always let down by these awful storylines and scripts...his acting range is just 🔥...he needs a great director and a brilliant script so that the audience fully appreciate his acting
Man savitar was the fastest if you think about it, but that’s only when he’s in the speed force, cause once he’s in there it looks like savitar is just teleporting
I don't buy the part where Team Flash shunned Savitar. That doesn't sound like Cisco, Caitlin, and the others at all. That's kind of bad writing imo. They'd be freaked out for sure, but I don't think they would just drop him like that. From Savitar's point of view, all of his family and friends just dropped him like a rock. No wonder he snapped.
After creating flashpoint the barry who died saving multiverse came back alive but he was not the original barry. So they shunned him... that's why he decided to kill iris
Savitar, just put a mask over just the part of your face that's scarred, get a sparkly black coat and a cowboy hat and live in an opera house. You might feel better that way and start writing music
They could just have a suit actor and never reveal Barry under the suit, since technically speaking, they know who Savitar is anyways due to the message in the waverider saying not to trust Barry Allen (Savitar Barry)
This... is loopy, but it makes a kind of sense. A kind. Savitar is a paradox, created by unnatural time-trickery, he shouldn't exist. There are no timelines, no parallel universes where Barry Allen becomes a villain like this, because it can't happen. The circumstances that happened to Savitar would never happen to Barry himself. So right now, Savitar has no place to be in 'reality'. But if he can screw Barry's life up so bad that Barry becomes miserable and broken just like him, then the possibility of Barry becoming something like Savitar would become... possible. And then, there's a Savitar-shaped hole on the probability curve for Savitar to fit into and become "real". Once that happens, he's no longer an abberation, he's a Barry Allen that could possibly be.
This is why I would never create a time remnant if I had super speed. I can’t imagine watching someone takes my place or technically I take their place since time remnant and the original are the same thing.
4 was crap, 5 got better again, 6 has been total horse shit. too many characters, too many arcs, too many villains, what the hell has happened to bloodwork? the show looks like there are three different set of writers writing the stuff
Savitar: Remember when you were making out with your first girlfriend, and you came right after she touched your leg. It was me Barry! I je... Wait, I'm mixing up these guys.
Imagine if that was the future flash at the house that night. The one who was fighting Reverse flash. And he got mad because he kept coming back. 4 times he came back to that night. 🤣🤣
The way Savitar Barry is talking is the antithesis of what Jay told him early on in the season after flashpoint. He's the cautionary tale of how Barry would be if he had not listened. And yet the very fact that Savitar occurred show that flashpoint is another paradox that he created. So not only is he the antithesis but he is also one more mistake that Barry had made by going back in time.
I still don't understand because when the time remnant sacrificed himself to zoom, team flash was like "he must have really cared" like bruh team flash they are nice people how could they just shun him, is savitar lying?
I'll give it to DC! They do make the villains almost anti heroes and understand their motives! Time remnants are essentially clones of the original with no ties to the memories and relationships they have with the original! Think about it! Hes about to put himself through hell to exist!
Savitar was the fastest but barry become faster thanks to the speed force and reverse flash is using negative speed force so reverse flash is equal with barry speed so now he's faster than zoom and savitar
The part where Savitar says that Barry's duplicate died saving the Multiverse..... Is that how they're gonna get out of killing Barry in Crisis?!?!? 😮😮😮😮

I’ll have a moment where I randomly think of why something in Flash can’t be true because of the time paradox. So, I’ll come back to this video and realize I’m just driving myself crazy
The Time Remnant died to stop Zoom's plan from destroying the multiverse. Zoom wanted to erase all of the Earths except Earth-1. The Crisis you're talking about is a whole different situation threatening the multiverse as a WHOLE, wiping out every single Earth.
Juan Andrade thank you for clearing that up!I thought that since there would be an extra time remanent around the time crisis came they would use him to take OG Barry’s place but I get what you mean now, whole different situation
They ruined Savitar here. IN ONE SCENE ONLY. All the others were perfect. All they needed to say he's flash from original timeline(before Thawne traveled back). He really sacreficed everything to save his younger self and vanished in result, but he wanted more and somehow he survived like Thawne did after flashpoint was aborted. WAS THAT SO HARD?

It's kinda interesting to now know that savitar actually talked his way out of barry killing himself since the only reason thawne is still around is because he's not affected by time changes due to the negative speed force which savitar doesnt have.
Yes after season 5 it was clear that Savitar just outsmarted Barry here.
Savitar is one hell of a villian
Did Savitar know about the Negative Speed Force, though?
Geo Rockmann yeah it’s not that clever the Negative Speedforce was only introduced in season 5
@@TheBohobemeister he didn't.
As you can see at 2:06 he was a little bit nervious after Barry asked what would happen if he kills himself.

@@jandellgarcia9648 reverse flash is faster then all the villains, the flashes biggest rival, I say he is better
@@TheScarletWing2490 I agree and what's crazy is what he came up with to say to him was smart
@@TheScarletWing2490
But that is only possible if alternate timelines don't exist at all.
That's the thing, savitar lied to barry so he doesn't kill himself.. he is the original flash
a race/fight between zoom... reverse flash... and pizza face barry would be 🔥 😂
I know the explanation about Savitar origin been revealed which means there is no end, its like a loop.
But how did savitar became "the first speedster" and how did he got the philosopher stone and his suit?
@@elias-ml6eo he created the fake legend to build up his followers by sending that stone back in time
no,the one that fighted with zoom is just a example

I like in Season 5 when The Reverse Flash mentions to Nora that Savitar is a version of Barry and was much big jerk than he was.

this goes for the time travel logic on the flash and the constant changing of the suit
savitar: one of the strongest villians ,wrecks havoc, almost kills iris,
reverse flash : did u see his pizza face lol
I want them to battle
Savitar was the hero all along, he was just trying to get rid of useless piece of iris.
Is savitar gonna be the main villain for legends season5
How would that work though with grant working still on the flash
They could just have a suit actor and never reveal Barry under the suit, since technically speaking, they know who Savitar is anyways due to the message in the waverider saying not to trust Barry Allen (Savitar Barry)
Or they never reveal him till the season finale episode and Barry guest stars on it
They revealed that Astra Logue will be the main villain of season 5
Why would be the villian didn't he get erased from existence since iris didn't die and his plan B didn't work
I've always wondered how they know that the one who sacrificed himself was the time remnant and not actually barry
Because the original Barry told everyone that the one who died is the time remanant
I think if original dies, remnants die too? At least it happened with Thawne, in LoT, when Black Flash killed him
This... is loopy, but it makes a kind of sense.
Yo wtf your so right never thought of that
This is why I would never create a time remnant if I had super speed. I can’t imagine watching someone takes my place or technically I take their place since time remnant and the original are the same thing.
Season 1,2, and 3 were the best!!!!
4 was crap, 5 got better again, 6 has been total horse shit. too many characters, too many arcs, too many villains, what the hell has happened to bloodwork? the show looks like there are three different set of writers writing the stuff

The Time Remnant died to stop Zoom's plan from destroying the multiverse. Zoom wanted to erase all of the Earths except Earth-1. The Crisis you're talking about is a whole different situation threatening the multiverse as a WHOLE, wiping out every single Earth.
