I see many of you asked how much it costs just like the last few rounds when i brought my RS6 and my Rapide over. It's very hard to tell the cost of service because it depends on the amount of work that needs to be done. My Rapide probably costs the least because there isn't that much of work needed to be done. My Audi needed all four rims to be replaced because he found a hair line crack on one of the rims and when I found the rims he helped me pay for it, should I include the cost as well? And its not fair for me to say the Rapide is cleaner hence cheaper because the aluminium grilles of the Rapide was removed to get every single piece of that of some oxidised aluminium treated, certainly takes more man hours than just wiping off grime from a piece of plastic. My Rapide had PPF installed on the headlamps, that would make it more costly as well, the Audi had grime stuck within all its bodykits and all had to be removed to clean up. My BMW's seats were all removed the carpets within cleansed and treated which my Aston and Audi didn't have to because the BMW's leather has discoloured. Basically, every car varies. You just bring your car over, let Darren have a look, tell him you have a budget, and he work around your budget. If you're like the GTR owner, who told Darren he wanted a new car. Then it starts from stripping everything off the car's frame, throwing all rubber seals, aircond systems, electrical systems, all wear and tear items were thrown away and reordered and fixed onto the car after a series of sanding priming, painting, coating, PPF, and then re-foaming the seats (not just reupholstering on old foams) and restitching, new dashboards, new headliners, full set of new air conditioning, new electrical wiring harness, basically everything new. Then the transmission and engine was overhauled, refreshed, reprogrammed etc etc. Those will of course costs a lot. But he is a professional restorer and the OG of detailing in the country. He has the knowledge and the tools to dismantle every single car, his workmanship is even better than all the fresh grad apprentices in official 4S centres. I have more faith in Darren dismantling my car than BMW 4S centre's high turnover staffs. So, I can't tell you how much your car would cost and how much my car costs is irrelevant to how much it costs. I don't expect it to be cheaper than an iPhone because an iPhone can be bought anywhere. And the things that Darren knows how to do, even RWB's Nakai San couldn't. Right?
Darren is such a humble man.... he even layan and gave advice for my bmw e30 .... just need to source for funds before I can send it to him! Love the work he does on all the cars
Amazing work. I always wonder whether there’s a one stop centre that can renew a car closest to showroom condition so you don’t have to go everywhere go get different parts done. It’s all worth it coz your car looks like new again. Simply amazing work.
Yes, that's what they do. Many shops not willing to do because takes up their space and affects income. For him, he's willing because he is passionate about it.
I got to know about Auto Detailer & Darren from the Rapide video that you posted many moons ago. Once I got my new ride, I took it to Darren for his assessment. The work he did on my car was fantabulous.
If you bought a brand new car from showroom and brought it to Darren, it might cost nothing or the typical charges of coating or typical charges of high end tinting. Yes he does tinting as well, Spectra IRD PhotoSync, super high end, costs 4k plus. If you bring your 10 year old car in, then you can tell him how much budget you set aside and see what he can do. If you're willing to spend without a ceiling budget, he can even help you to clean up every nut and every screw, dismantle the entire car and put it back piece by piece nut by nut until the whole car is practically rebuilt and refurbished like a brand new 0 mileage car. So i wouldn't know how much your car costs. Best is to go visit him, talk to him, make friends, then go back when you're ready. :)
Hi Bobby. I’m more keen to know what sort of budget range to get a 10 years old car like yours. I always wanted to get a convertible BMW but a new car will cost me a bomb. Watching this video give me some sort of confidence of getting a car as old as yours and on the later part only save money for the restoration...
@@BobbyAngmalaysia Hi. I’ve just booked a Lexus and getting my new car in May. Therefore for the convertible will be a target by end of the year. Most likely cash. Just window shopping see any good kang tau not. By the way, yours is what model?
Bobby where are you staying? That condo with a huge area outside makes it look like a landed. That's so nice! You are a man of culture, buy condo get landed perks 👍
I specifically wanted a condo with a garden attached. Because my childhood dream is to stay in a tall building with a good view of the city and a garden in the sky. So my condo is on top of a hill, and i stay in the 1st floor units where the condo has 8 1st floor units with gardens attached.
Bobby, if I were to buy a 2017 MX5 ND1 RS next year and bring it to Darren, is he able to help me check out the health of the car as to what needs to be touched up and detailed, not just the outside but the insides?
I was hoping to meet a GranCabrio owner who got sick and tired of his unreliable and high maintenance Maserati and willing to trade for a better quality, lower maintenance but equally fantastic BMW 6 series convertible ... Other than that I can't see any convertibles that suits me haha
My friend went to ask redoing a bmw m5 from bare metal, the price is ard double outside charging and we know bacause we know where they out source their paint job..
@T Ky then you should just head to the place where you know to do your paint job. I also know where my hair stylist buys their shampoo, and your neighbourhood barber probably costs one third that of a stylist in Bangsar Shopping Complex.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia yup, that's what I did, in fact u r right, I go for a 65$ hair cut instead of a 45$ cut in my neighbourhood, coz the 65$ does better job thn the 45$ And also, we went to the outsourced paint factory that we know, the car is done and we r very happy with it.
Sincerely BMW should be avoid at all cost once it reach100 miles or ++ be prepared tones of problems to come like the timing chain which is reparable or evenly can cause engine failure too and top of that it's gonna cost a fortune to replace the timing chain.
Lmao that's if u don't know what to look out for during a test drive. Listen to every little knocks and get a car with full service record. If you're an idiot, u can buy even a Camry that can blow Ur wallet off, don't be a keyboard warrior.
Considering those coating shop charging rm5-9k just for coating .... This is cheap for one month of work. Do you think coating shops would order parts for you and replace them without marking up? Let alone knowing where to find and pay the parts for you up front. 😅

It's so clean man~~ wow. The work is amazing.
Darren is a legend. Brought my car over and he gave some recommendations. Humble guy and great setup.
I remember that the steering was shiny but now it looks like new and matte leather. Well worth the money man...
Beautiful car 😍

Do they provide normal car wash?
They don't openly do car wash. But they do help their customers wash our cars and the charges for customers is RM70 per wash
