I agree that this condition is probably the most important fundamental in the attraction between young filippinas and western men. But this difference in material status between young women and older men has always existed as a fundament for marriage also inside of western nations. We did not meet under these circumstances you mentioned but I met him in the Philippines and it took a few years before we got married so I got to know him better. This is my hang up on PH. Especially adding the lack of Infrastructure. At this point may as well go to Vietnam, Laos, or elsewhere and just live in Thailand. Pinas seem so high risk.
Infrastructure? Been here? Live in a city. Manila no infrastructure issue whatsoever.

Every one of those countries you listed is better in everything with the exception of two things. Language (Philippines, everyone speaks some amount of English, although that can be debatable) and two, the most important. A visa. In the, Philippines, getting a visa is a joke. If, Thailand or, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia or, Indonesia had the ability to get a visa that easily, Philippines would lose a huge amount of their expat population. I mean, Thailand you have better infrastructure, medical, safer, cleaner, food is FAR better, and the women are more beautiful. Exchange rate is almost identical, and cost of living is similar. I have visited ALL of those countries' multiple times with a LONG stay in, Thailand twice and again, if it wasn't for the visa, I'd have picked, Thailand OR, Vietnam over the, Philippines as a place to retire to.
@@JasperinthePhilippines Sorry man, but I have to disagree with that statement. No blackouts/brownouts in, Thailand. I know you stay in, Makati (I love the hotel H2O) but once you get out of that little bubble, it is dirty. Trash everywhere and the roads are bad. Let's not even talk about internet service. Medical in, Thailand is FAR superior. Safety is another issue (the only time I was ever mugged at gunpoint was in the, Philippines). In a capitol city comparison, Bangkok trumps Manila/Makati in every single category. And once you talk about the smaller cities, Thailand wins by a landslide. Baguio, Quezon, Subic Bay, Angeles, Cebu, Bohol or Dumaguete don't hold a candle to, Phuket, Pattaya, Chang Mai, Koh Phi Phi (not really a city) or Koh Samui. Like, I stated in a comment above, the only reason, Philippines wins over the majority of SE Asia, is the language and the ease of a visa. Seriously, the infrastructure in the, Philippines is terrible. I remember during the, Mayweather and Pacquiao fight (I was in, Cebu for one of my long visits), they had PSAs about unplugging the fridge because the ENTIRE country was watching the fight. When, I had my property in, Mango Square the first recommendation, I got was to get a generator which turned out to be some of the best advice ever.
@@livemina like I posted before. Besides looks, there is almost no language barrier, a visa is one of the easiest in the world to obtain and you are on a tropical island(s).
