I’m so glad that you reviewed this one! This is my favorite foundation. It’s so pretty and natural. I love the glow! I’m curious about the new Fenty foundation for dry skin. I am crazy about the EZ blur stick for everyday coverage. I haven’t been commenting in so long. So sorry but the chemo is kicking my tush. Can’t complain every single day that I’m here! Kisses to Ziva and the kitties! ❤❤❤
That looks really good on you, including the shade!
Congrats on 40K!!
Thank you!!! Keep an eye out - I'll have the celebration giveaway info in the next couple weeks!
Great review, as always! Added to cart for the fall Sephora sale 👍 I'm hearing dry-skin gals rave about the new Fenty Soft Lit Glow foundation. Would love to see your take on that one!
Yes I’m waiting for that to please
Definitely going to try it!
i think it’s a lovely foundation! i remember the sea breeze days 😖 but to this day, i still must use a toner for my face to feel clean. thankfully it’s not ones that burn me!
That is a gorgeous foundation, holy crow.
Thank you Shelly! This is currently $81 in Farmers, NZ, so I really appreciate your review.. My go to for around 20yrs, and my mother's before that, was the "Moisture Mist" beauty cake foundation, that was formulated for NZ skin and our high Ozone etc.. Sadly it was discontinued several years ago & I haven't been able to find an alternative.. As always, much love from New Zealand xx V.
Hello fellow kiwi! Makes you mad the price we pay for foundations huh? AND we can't take them back if they are the wrong colour :(.
Wow no returns!??!?! That sure makes it hard especially when they're so expensive!!!
@@goow Alas no. We only return if we react to it. In saying that, we do have robust consumer guarantee if something is not fit for purpose but it does not cover wrong colour.
This is so pretty! My skin has turned into the Sahara desert on me thanks to new meds these past 6 or so months so what was my part time dry foundations became my all the time foundation. I know I can always go to you for the reviews! ❤
This looks stunning on you. Beautiful. Literally melted/blended into your skin & perfect shade/color match for you. 💖👍🏼😊
Can you review the new Fenty soft lit foundation? It should be right up your alley it’s for dry skin and I’ve heard good reviews so far, thank you!
Yep it's on my list!!
This is my newest HG foundation. Perfect for a quick light coverage with fingers and it looks like my skin!
I've been wearing it nonstop - and then I started mixing it with the MAC Studio Radiance and I'm just loving it every which way. It's very versatile for me! My wallet hates when I love Shiseido 🤣
@@goow hahaha! I can’t stop wearing it too! I’ve been thinking of mixing it too. So I’ll give that a go!
Hi Shelby! 😊 This foundation is so perfect on you! Color match is dead on. We are in the same shade. My skin is dry and sensitive yet this never dries me out.
Aaah omg I’ve been waiting for this!!! Thank you sosososo much!!! You’re the best!
Very pretty! Agree with the wonderful undertone. Thanks
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for this review!
My question is….how can all those “skin care ingredients” make it through my sunscreen underneath?
That's a good point !
I asked Dr. Dray this. She responded plainly- they don’t! If you’re wearing sunscreen, it won’t penetrate. For people who don’t wear sunscreen, it could benefit, but for the small amounts they put in makeup, she said it was purely a marketing tactic. 👍🏻
okay so I asked chat gpt and yes all that has been said is correct however it does say that the skincare in foundations isn't to do much for your skin, instead it's designed to only be helpful to the very top layers of your skin and says you'll need to use serums and moisturizers underneath spf to ensure it penetrates your skin enough to have more lasting effects. so to me it seems that the skincare is helpful, just more temporary effects while you have the product on. I think that probably does a lot for the way your skin appears while wearing it. my skin has never looked better than when i use H2O skintint by pixi. light, build able, like skin in a bottle. incredible stuff.
Maybe use the setting spray spf to top off? Trying out the Kate Sommerville 🤞
That’s fine if they don’t, I care more about my sun protection as I already use retinol and vitamin c in the evenings
Another great review Shelly. Love your nail colour . Hello from England xxx
Hi Lorraine!!! I am taking a UK-based cosmetic formulation program so I get to enjoy the English accent in all of the videos :)
@@goow Good luck in all you do Shelly. You’re one of the good people on this planet xxxxx
So pleased you reviewed this. I’m your colour twin, with dry skin. I love it.
This foundation looks so good on you, and the shade match is perfect, you look swell!
That foundation looks beautiful on you, the shade was perfect despite you thinking it was perhaps too light. It held up with longevity also. Mind you, I feel it should for the price point. The purpley eye look also gorgeous ❤.
Just 8 minutes in - but I’m loving the brush side! Gorgeous!
Beautiful foundation on a beautiful face! Looking absolutely stunning!
Love your hair! Makeup is perfect.
Love the bangs! Highlights your lovely eyes!
What about a Q&A video on skincare and makeup??? Your face looks amazing!!! No crows feet, forehead lines or winkles!!! Girl, what is ur secret???
Sunscreen!! I didn't start wearing it daily until my mid-30s but when I was 19 I realized that my skin was not like that of my sun-worshipping friends and I adopted the mantra, "The sun is trying to kill me," and started wearing floppy hats and trying not to burn. I really think a majority of my good skin is from avoiding sun damage to some extent. I've also used tretinoin for ... maybe 4 years now? And my skin looks better now than it did before tretinoin (which is easier for me to see than most people because I can just go back on TH-cam and look at old video close-ups lol).
🥰🥰🥰 I watch this just to see that beautiful kitty - and of course also to see a bit about your review of the foundation. Thank you.
Beautiful foundation, Shelly😃❤️. Loved "roll that beautiful bean footage"!! I miss Duke and those commercials so much!🥲 I do love the glow of the foundation and will see if I can get a sample of it to try. I'm digging the Walmart Relove Super Serum foundation right now. For under 5 bucks I can't beat it.👍
I agree that Jones Road powder is beautiful. I wasn't going to try it, but I went to their new store in Chicago and somehow walked out with it. I love it sooo much! ❤
The did some magic when they made it! It's so good.
I have this foundation and although my color I too light it’s beautiful so glad you like it too!❤
Looking really good. Loving the eyeshadow look. ❤ to Ziva.
This looks beautiful on you!! Have you tried Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder? They have a mini!!! It’s amazing, different from the Jones Rd, though.
Have you also tried the dupe from Moira? I enjoy it, but keep eying the real deal 🤔
Oooh I may need to check out the mini!
Gorgeous shade on you (you and I are almost identical in re: shade matching)!
Great review, as always! As an oily, I will pass as I heard the keywords "tacky" "dewy" "doesn't dry down" "radiant" so history tells me this wont work on me. Also, dislike it's not cruelty free. And its expensive!!!
I think that's a great shade match for you, and a lovely finish. It looks very natural in daylight. Alas, I'm the opposite of you wrt scents. I can't tolerate the smell of octinoxate, at least not at the percentage needed for SPF 30. Back in the day, it was one of our only choices in SPF moisturizers, but those were only SPF 15, so I put up with the smell. At SPF 40 or 50 level, I can smell the octinoxate even after washing the product off (Elta MD UV Clear, for example). I really like that Tie Dye! Goth meets Unicorn!
This has a beautiful finish!
It’s very nice on your skin and was expecting the A 😊
I haven’t tried this one because I have mature oily skin and don’t like serum type of foundations on me and I have to powder all foundations otherwise I’m a grease ball after 2-3 hours of wear.
Nice looking foundation!! 🎉
Sea breeze lol! That and Bonnie Bell 10-06 toner. In the 80s you "needed alcohol to prevent pimples". The damage I must have done to my skin barrier!
I can still remember the smell of that 10-0-6!!! 😂
Bonnie Bell and Phisoderm, plus (gasp) the Buf Puf. It’s a miracle my skin recovered!
It looks very nice on you!
Hi Shelley I have samples of this one (in the lightest shade 😂) and it’s really tempting me. Doesn’t look as dewy on my super dry skin but it is pretty. Best wishes x
Seems like a really nice foundation! You should try the new Natasha Denona powder foundation, mine is ordered and I'm excited to try it.
It's on my list to buy!!
It is a very nice foundation and looks great on your lovely skin. Unfortunately, it is a light coverage and does not diminish the look of my sun spots
The only light foundation which makes my skin passable is Chanel No.1, which is the most expensive foundation I have ever bought. I heard good things about Chanel Sublimage and Clé de Peau, but they are outrageously expensive.
Same. I'm a shade somewhere between Shiseido 150-310, I know this from purchasing both and questioning them WHY they jump from a cool fair OR cool medium?! But because this is a lightweight serum foundation and I plan to use for summer I went with the darker 310. And it works but I was surprised at the lack of dry down as well (an hour for 75%). Nevertheless, I powder now and I find myself adding a drop or two of a more matte foundation. Often theirs or anything with high coverage which I don't want to wear on its own. My next experiment is mixing it with my recent splurge La Mer 210 (mainly for a perfect shade). I like this foundation but it has taken some getting used to. Shiseido makes a quality product, however they need to ADD a shade! We need to ask for it. Thanks for sharing 🤍
It looks beautiful on you
I personally love using a brush then a sponge. Idk. I’m weird.
It looks great on you, but...rosacea makes its ingredients impossible for me. And the price! That's half a week's groceries for me - and I'm treated to breakfasts and dinners out quite often! Thanks for the review!
This is Samantha Chapman's (of Pixiwoo, Real Techniques) favourite foundation... 😊💜💜💜🇬🇧
Yes, seems very popular amongst the beauty influencers, here in the UK 🇬🇧 !
Oooh I love her!
I tried this. The denatured alcohol is brutal.
It’s not brutal on me and I have dry sensitive skin, no problems with it. Everyone is different.
You look great in this. Whyyyyy must they put niacinamide in everything now?
It does seem like an odd choice for "universal" type makeup products. Like... not everyone would want that in their regimen.
Ziva Ziva Ziva your soo cute Pretty Foundation
Hi Beautiful Shelly. I just adore you. You’re fun, yet so informative in your reviews and I love that. As a dry, dehydrated skin more mature woman, which is your absolute favorite for dry skin, one that doesn’t settle into wrinkles and crinkles? I am still researching as Iam soo confused as to which one to purchase. Soooo, I’ve just stopped wearing foundation. Yep, for me, they all make me look older🤷🏼♀️🫣🫤🙄🙈🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. Would you please review Inleasha Korean cushion foundation? They have two; one is a natural matte and one is their Glow cushion foundation. I started to order it, as I just place a big YesStyle order, but was Skeered. lol. Have a great wkend sweetie and thank you for all the goodness that you bring us.
Try the new Fenty soft lit moisturizing foundation, perfect for dry skin! I just recently purchased it and I love it. Look up the reviews you’ll see it has good reviews. 😊
@@belindafischer2920 thank you so much. I will try it.
Added to my list!!
I love this foundation. It makes my 69 yo skin look really nice 😊 I pair it with the Shiseido day cream with sunscreen.
I have this one. Everything is perfect except the shade. All shades from 130-160 are too grayish for me.
Hi Shelly! Have you tried the Ofir foundation?
Not yet but added it to my list!
I am considering Danessa Myricks skin tint and this Revitalessence glow foundation. If you have to choose between those 2, which one will you choose? Thanks
I've worn the Danessa Myricks a ton - they're so similar in finish that I think I'd let price guide you on this one and go DM.
i love your colorful ears
Has anyone tried the new urban decay face bond foundation? I heard it's supposed to be really good. But I have dry skin so i'm not sure.
I just got it - will be filming it for next week!!
I love your videos. You're somebody who I wish lived in my area so we can get together for a brunch or a coffee. You wanna move to Southern Israel maybe? A lot of action here, never boring 😜
I literally daydream about taking everyone here and us all living on the same block. It would be ridiculously fun and nobody would question why I was running out to the delivery truck for "another" makeup box! 🤣
💙💙
I need your makeup application butterfly. Please send details
Amazon! They make a heart one too :) amzn.to/3wD98UM $8
your lava lamp has GLITTER!??
YES!!! It was much more glittery when it was new but it's literally been running for - oh probably 5 years now! LOL but if you have a Home Depot near you - they don't ship it but they carry it in a lot of their stores! go.magik.ly/ml/1w89n/
