    Thanks Joe.
    4:44. Drivetrain, roof. 5 largish black and white boxes/structures.
    7:13. GA, loading platform. Steel beams. New works on-going.
    8:35. Southend. Storage racking.
    10:58. Stamping, apron. Beside the wall, in front of the SPMT, and on the trailers. Some sort of temporary decking, or perhaps it’s shoring. There was some seen stacked on the SPMT in Brad’s video yesterday.
    13:16. WOW yard, south. Recycling yard new location?
    13:51. WOW yard, south. Platform topped with salvaged southend apron sections.
    17:54. Cathode, west. Constructing a rubbish chute from the top floor.
    18:16. Cathode, plant apron. 4 orange Xs mark the spot. 4 square concrete plinths instead of the previous attempt at one larger plinth? 4 stainless steel tanks nearby, coincidentally.
    18:44. Old House site. East of, being cleared out.
    21:23. Old House site. Some activity. Shipping container placed.
    22:04. Temporary kitchen. BBQ trailer has shifted again. Might be at 16:34.
    24:27. BESS site. Bottom left. Thanks to SammyK I now know that the corrugated expanded mesh formwork is AMICO Stay-form.
    26:30. Casting, apron. Delivery of rebar. Loading docks, demolishing the dock leveler set-downs. I wonder if the ramp goes next.

      Soggy is good. In this part of Texas we tend to go from drought to flood and back again. Anywhere in the middle is kind of nice. We’ve been getting rain every few days but it’s usually less than an inch and often less than a half inch. So we haven’t had flooding but our grass is very green for this time of the year and the local hay and corn is doing very well for the moment.

    Regarding the large items being hoisted into GA: they look a bit like the bathtubs in Paint. No paint for the CT, but perhaps the finished CT exoskeletons still need a "bath" to restore the corrosion-proof properties of the outer layer of Stainless Steel after bending, laser cutting and so on.

    @ 12:50 That path through the greenbelt has been planted with trees to give them time to _grow some roots_ and settle in. This is just advanced work for the full beautification of the site. Nature dosent work on Elon Time. There will be little doing on it, until the south end is built out and there is no more major construction between Tesla Road and the river. Including River Road, a boring tunnel, pipelines, electrical conduit and multi-story carpark So no earlier than about six months, but by this time next year, it will all look like the prettiest factory thou hath ever seeneth. 8:00. The dozer with the ripper engaged suggests soil removal.

    • @bobcallahan2322
      @bobcallahan2322 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the soil ripping is an attempt to help dry this section of building pad. More of the soil is exposed to the air once it is ripped. This spot was probably filled with soil that was too wet and did not compact to the required density. Hopefully they roller sealed the surface before the rain came or the soil will be more wet than when they started ripping, and will take even more time to dry enough.

      @@sammyk874 Yes, but they don't need to pile up mountains of trash. If they took the trash out more often, it wouldn't cost them one penny more for trucks. Also, the numerous material storage lots look like crap! And there's crap stored near the building. Even some crap on the roof of the building! Very little landscaping done. Looks like the main entrance is another project they quit on. Endless ripping up of already constructed stuff. This is the most disorganized project I've ever seen. It has potential to be a great project. Let's hope they don't F**k it up any more than they already have.

    • @sammyk874
      @sammyk874 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidJohnson-tv2nn That looks more like material that can be recycled. It is being slowly processed. Not sure why it has to run at hyper speed, it is not in anyone's way and it's not the type of trash that would smell. A vendor has likely been contracted to take care of it and that is what is happening. You seem to get too deep into these things and give them far higher priority than they need. That is easy when watching from 200 feet above but the people on the ground know better than you and I. Which other projects have you watched in this sort of detail? What you feel is "crap" may not be. You don't know why things are where they are or why they are the way they are.

      @DavidJohnson-tv2nn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sammyk874 Keep in mind that this is not just a factory. It is also their headquarters. It's supposed to be a showcase for Tesla. And it just looks awful. It wouldn't take much to clean it up if they weren't so disorganized. I've watched local construction projects, including a 40 story building in a city nearby. Trucks would bring in materials, and drive up onto a temporary loading dock.. Constructed about 50 - 60 feet above the huge basement excavation. The crane on top the building would unload the truck and take the materials where they needed to go. No piles of stuff laying around allover the place.

    • @sammyk874
      @sammyk874 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidJohnson-tv2nn It is their HQ in name only at this time. It is NOT completed yet. Only you and those that think like you think it's disorganized. A 40 story project does not have space to store materials like this project so it's not like they have a choice. This project is also way bigger than a 40 story building. There's just no comparison. Also, it seems a lot of material was purchased way ahead of time (Smart considering all the supply chain issues) or certain projects were delayed causing that material to sit for a while.
