The 13.5 to 14.5 volt range quoted is the proper system voltage with the engine running. It does not give one an idea of a battery's condition; this is more an indicator of the charging system's health and its ability to support the electrical load. Even a dead battery may show a reading that is within that range because the alternator is maintaining the proper voltage; even a good battery may read outside that range if the charging system is not in order (or if there is excessive electrical load to the system).

sir, yung alternator ko produces 13.47 volts?? ok pa ba to?
yesterday lang ako nagpapalit ng battery kasi sira na yung baterry ko, pinapalitan ng motolite enduro(P5000) and sabi sakin pa check/repair ko daw alternator ko kasi hindi daw nagpo-produce ng tamang voltage...
