Thank you Thank you Thank you for doing this! I'm so sad there aren't more people that do commentaries to this lovely movie I also watched this film so much as a kid and I still watch it from time to time and always get thrown back feeling like a kid again ~ I'm very thankful for your video and for also knowing the book ❤
Aw thank you 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. And yes! That’s exactly how I feel whenever I watch this movie! Instantly transported to feeling like a kid again, it’s such a feel-good, nostalgic experience
Oh thank you letting me know, I can’t believe I’ve never noticed that 😅 Interesting that they changed the time period from the book, I wonder why they did that…
I’ve always loved this movie, it was one of the only movies my sister and I would watch- and now I have it memorized. Hook has always reminded my sister and I of our dad, and we both loved Jeremy Sumpter as Peter. Within the past year, I found out that one of my mom’s childhood friends did visual effects on this movie, but my mom never mentioned it.
Victorian & Edwardian Policeman Bobby was to be Calm, Quiet and Determined, as well as Bold when he had to be, But above all he had to learn to keep his Temper however much he was provoked.
What is your favourite sence of peter pan movie My favourite peter pan sence is peter is fairy dancing with Wendy this is used to be my childhood dream and it's really romantic, swashbuckling, fantasy, Magical and adventure xxx What is your favourite sence of peter pan xxx
Yes! That scene is sooo good! I also really like the battle between Hook and Peter towards the end when Hook starts to get the upper hand. I think it really shows a lot of depth of character to Peter's character
Nice to know someone else likes the movie. Cause unfortunately when it was released it bombed at the box office. Box office bomb or not it’s a great movie
@@shelfofwonder I know right? Disappointing, it’s one of me and my cousin’s favourite movies too. Look on the bright side though we’re not alone in loving it
This is one of my favourite version of peter pan I got it on dvd I had vhs once when I was a kid in Ludlow is my mum gave it to me as a present and I love this movie I do crushed that actor who plays peter pan when I was like 11 years old like Wendy darling's age I think he's cute xxx
omg i love peter pan too! my fave is the Disney Classic 1953! I actually cosplay and act as Peter Pan on stage too! love this video! what is your favorite scene from this movie?
I’m glad you enjoyed 😊 My favourite scene from this movie is probably the end battle between Hook and Peter, when Hook gets the upper hand. It shows a lot of depth and emotional growth in Peter’s character that is often overlooked in other iterations. What is your favourite scene (either from this version or the Disney animated classic)?
@@shelfofwonder my favorite scene is when peter pan imitates hooks voice in skull rock to rescue tiger lily! i am actually performing that scene as peter pan!
Shelf.of.wonder in Peter Pan Live Action the actor of George and Capitain Hook is the same actor who played Lucius Malefoy in Harry Potter do you recognize him
I heard that he was apprehensive to take this role, because he was playing Lucius around the same time, and he didn’t want to be two villains at the same time- but he decided to do it, and I think we’re all glad that he did, because his version of Hook is amazing.
I hate that at no point in the movie does Wendy ever acknowledge that Hook looks like her dad. I feel like that could've added an extra layer to the "you need to grow up" storyline. Her father is crushing her joy and wonder in both the real world and the "fantasy" world. Right down to the fact that Hook literally uses the idea of Wendy growing up as a way to break Peter's heart. I still like the movie regardless, but that will always feel like wasted potential to me.
Thank you

This is one of my all-time favorite movies ever. It’s the definitive Peter Pan for me. I’m so glad to see others loving it as well.
This story takes place in 1904, you can see the date on the letter that Wendy's teacher is writing to her father

It’s a reference to the year the play came out.

"Girly" isn't an insult (except when directed toward a guy). Guys like girly, or feminine, girls
Weeeeeell, some used it as a way of saying the person is weak, soooo...
