Thank you for continuing covering Huawei's flagship camera. People seems to forget how was crushing the competition a couple years ago.
And still is. The mate 6 pro has the best camera system.
P60 Pro uses the same main camera and f1.4-f4.0
@@Techtablets ...but is huawei with its android fight usable for european users? Does everything work with the Huawei Devices?

See how stable the Huawei P60 pro selfie videos are despite wearing snapdragon 8+ Gen1
No one mentioned the Front Facing Ultrawide Field of view in Huawei P60 Pro, that's so smooth and stable than rest of the devices. Watch it again you'll be amazing and it is the best vlogging selfie camera ❤
True, for the small niche vlog community, but overall for video, the iPhone remains the best choice. But good to see that S23U and Huaewi are no longer far behind.
@@andyH_England Yes, but Low light Huawei is still king
I did right at the start mention how it's fov is more than the others fit more in and it's an ultrawide front camera.
Now you know why US make it personally banned the Huawei using Google play.. it's because Huawei can Easily Beat the iPhones..
@@Techtabletshi can you make another video with same phones except replacing p60 pro with mate 60 pro ?
Huawei still doing well for night shots and zoom. My P40 Pro still takes amazing photos no matter what the lighting is and everyone always asks for my pictures even those with new iPhones and Samsungs. Huawei does need to work on video and the inconsistencies with the daytime shots on the new P60 Pro. Otherwise still world class. If it were not for the ban making them lose access to some important hardware and software, they would've remained unbeatable. Would love to see this test with the new Mate 60 Pro. Oh Huawei, I hope you come back. You were a beacon of hope in a sea of stagnating innovation. Apple has never innovated and Samsung has become complacent since Huawei was banned. Huawei was seriously pushing them and I wouldn't be surprised if apple and Samsung were part of helping the ban happen. Huawei had overtaken Apple in 2019 and was about to overtake Samsung. And then boom. The ban. So so sad. It really is unfair for the consumer at the end of the day. It diminishes our freedom of choice and stifles innovation. The US sucks.
Video has always been their weakness I would love to see them improve that again and push a new Cine camera.
@@Techtablets that would be great. My P40 Pro has a cine camera. It uses the wide angle for video recording. It isn't as wide as most wide angles but it is more than wide enough. That means the quality of it is excellent. I wonder why they did away with it.
Huawei uses a Japanese camera with the lens from Germany iirc, so the innovation is from oversea
@@nelsonta00 innovation is making this innovative technologies work hand in hand with each other to produce a great product, Apple alone sources its display to South Koreas Samsung, its chips to Taiwan TSMC, etc. No smartphone company produces its own parts, it outsources it somewhere using the technology of those companies where they outsourced their needs for parts.
@@nelsonta00other phone maker also use japan glass too, even sony can't do the same job as huawei did in camera section.
Wonder why that happen😊
Great comparison! Btw where did you film this? It's a beautiful location.
The audio pickup from the Samsung is mind blowing.
The stabilisation on the iPhone 5X camera is outstanding.
Yes and yes I agree 👍

I wonder if the stabilization on the s23 could be updated in a future firmware release. They already did one big update that fixed a lot of the camera issues.

indeed. Always here for this comparisons
First off love your videos how does the honor magic 5 pro compare to the iPhone 15 pro on all software features and camera features
this is a great comparison video! thank you for helping me make a choice!
For me, the main question is always "what's the best picture I can get out of the camera?", so default settings isn't that important to me. But of course it gets a lot harder to compare objectively.
Yes so this is why I have to run with default settings. Otherwise imagine if I tweaked on better than the other.
@@Techtablets I guess it would be cool to have both - a longer, more objective default setting comparison, and then a short section about trying to tweak the settings to get the best photo out of each and how many useful options there are.

sir may I ask where is the location you making the comparison because the scenery is very beautiful
Superb showdown as always Chris Sir! 👌All phones traded blows in still shots, but video on the IPhone is still ahead.
So much work is put into the comparisons!
Nicely done! 👏👍
Thanks for watching, yes they are a lot of work but at the same time I love to see for myself which is the best at what.
In regards to the oversharpening of the Galaxy S23 Ultra: The picture softening can be adjusted in the camera assistent app (off, medium, high). Did you try that?
I think it should be tested as it comes out of the box because most people won't be changing those settings. And then if they want to sharpen it, that's their choice. Instead Samsung went crazy to try and impress
He uses default settings as all these phones have hundreds of different options and you would need a 10-hour video to cover every small change. So these are for those that just point and shoot.
@@rem792 yes, however it's the other way around. By default the sharpening is at max (picture softening is set to "off" by default), the best way to reduce the oversharpening is to set "picture softening" to medium.
@@rem792 I see it a bit different, bc if you buy a camera centric smartphone I would assume you are willing to spend some time in adjusting the camera settings to get most out of it. In all automatic at least at this point you won't get the most out of the best phones
@@flo_h_96 Yes, I understand but most people haven't even touched the settings menu ever, all the people I know, at least. I haven't touched it either and I have a DSLR and a mirrorless but don't bother looking for a sharpening option, I expect the phone to work out of the box and it shouldn't need any adjustment considering the average person that buys the phone. You should only need to use it if the picture needs it, I think there's no excuse for Samsung that is charging so much for these slabs of plastic, it goes for all the manufacturers, really. Look at how much they charge for these things. So yes, it should work out of the box 😁
Wait a bit what happens with s23 when you were shooting video and had another shot from the rest?
Great comparison video. I For me the iPhone mic was by far the worsed both in wind noise and voise quality, you sounded like a different person in comparison to what you normally use. The P60 mic was also affected badly by wind noise. S23 easily the better mic. That would be my only slight difference to your comparison. Since most is personal preference anyway. P60 night stuff, iPhone video (just) and portrait shots, S23 everything else telephoto, colours, etc.
Well I day say the Samsung mix was the best. But they were all affected by wind noise the iPhone and p60 pro the worst.
awesome camera comparison video thank u!
I'm still leaning towards the iphone as the best phone camera out there
if you ever get the chance, iphone 15 pro max vs oppo find x6 pro vs vivo x90 pro+ 😁
Would love to see that as well, but as an owner of a Vivo X90 Pro+ I can tell you if you want your photos to look as close to photos from an DSLR and not artificial and overprocessed the Vivo X90 Pro+ is the way to go and the iPhone is absolutely no match. But although the camera of the Vivo X90 Pro+ is far superior to the iPhones it is not as good if you want to do simple point and shoot. On the Vivo and I assume it's similiar with the Oppo you have to use the right settings to get the most out of it and sometimes try different settings. But I really would want to know how the Oppo Find X6 performs in comparison to the other two especially with it's relatively big sensors behind the ultra-wide and the tele lens
Very informative comparison. Thank you. I always wished to see pure raw image comparisons and pixelpeeped comparisons in all these tests. But nobody does that. Comparing software capabilities is good but not enough. This was not a criticism from me for this important and good video but a wish. Ty.
S23 ultra ❤
Please compare it with x90 pro plus and oppo find x6 pro

Thanks a lot for going so deep into your reviews! 🙂👌
Even $600 mid-range phones can do daytime shots well. But if you are doing portraits of animals or humans the iPhone wins.
@@andyH_England if taking pictures is the main concern what do you think is the better option between the 15 pro max and the s23 ultra? Also I've heard that there is an shutter issue in the s23 ultra and does that still exist?
@@space_time_everything_else I think they are very close, but the iPhone looks better overall. If you can wait for the S24U, that may give the iPhone a run?
Yes, the S23U has a slower shutter, which means you could get a blurry shot in low light with a moving subject. It is better but with the iPhone you can take shot after shot instantly, there is def shutter lag with the S23U, which is no issue if the subject is static.
great comparaison
For me doesn't matter which one you chose. All good phones.
I think it's a matter if you prefer Android/ios
Thx for this video 😊
You should do a camera test between the iPhone SE 3 the galaxy A54 and the pixel 6A
I don't have all 3 of those. :D
good video! too bad no device with im989 in contest. Maybe test the xiaomi 13 pro next time. 50mp on all lenses 👌
Huawei P60 Pro best image quality and the dynamic range on the Huawei is unmatched.
8:45 im sorry but the portrait shot here, Huawei P60 Pro did the best. the dynamic range and brightness of the sun spot on. While the iphone looks dim and soft.
You forgot to mention that the bokeh of the Huawei mimics a DSLR. Very good.
It was overexposed in that portrait shot a little but it depends on person preference. All subjective...
I'll choose P60 pro for camera phone. I believed on DxOMark rating.
They are all good and working differently. iPhone adds temperature to all it's videos making them look yellowish. S23 Ultra adds more vibrancy, & Huawei P60 pro brightens more. I would go with S23 ultra since it has more customization. But they are all clear
In my opinion, the photo in which you used the S23 10x camera , It's normal to get that noise . Because you do the zoom for the whole view including the atmospheric conditions :fog , haze ....etc.
Not really it was a perfectly clear day yesterday. Otherwise I would maybe agree.
That is why Samsung is killing the 10X zoom. They have reached their limitations, and too much noise, poor video stabilisation, and subpar night zoom make it look limited compared to other periscopes. The S24U coming in a few months is rumoured to use a 5X zoom like the iPhone, but with 50mp, so it will be much better than the 10X zoom overall. The 10X was a great marketing trick with its silly moonshot, but it just does not cut it any more quality-wise, and just spec-chasing higher zoom for bragging rights will disappoint in the long game.
Samsung have the option to turn the sharpening off from camera assistant. Honestly if you don't do that it look pretty terrible, you can't shoot grass, trees, metal objects, ect...
Most people have yet to learn about Camera Assistant. Isn't that an app in the Galaxy Store? Samsung should do it well on auto as people expect them to. Loads of apps can make standard auto photos look better, but this is a point-and-shoot comparison and no excuses.
@@andyH_EnglandPoint and shoot is not one of the strongest sides... Overexposure need to be turned down as well to make the greens look normal instead of light "poison" green even at night.
What mode did you shoot for the iPhone? Ive heard 24mp HEIF is the best.
I used that, which is the default.
@@Techtabletscheers!
Samsung needs to reduce excessive oversharpening. I know it can be adjusted from the camera assistant app, but it's not in the camera app itself which most people will use.
And the auto tune photo, that shit got to go! Or at least give you the ability to choose
They do let you choose. I've set mine to medium and now it looks fine
*I guess Apple has decided to not implement HDR on selfie 4k60fps videos ever.* Low-light vids, shutter speed and portraits are exceptional on the Iphone.
Best analysis I've seen so far

First section of the video - the front camera video recording - it seems you either made a mistake with the audio icon display or the audio from the Huawei P60 was never switched to.
There is purple hue in Huawei as comes from p30 series and they haven't changed this issue yet as I see
Good, detailed comparison. However, you need to do the comparison with the mate 60 pro which was released around the same time as the iphone 15 pro. The P60 pro was the earlier version.
Yes thing is I don't have it 😂
P60 Pro has better hardware, Zoom lens than Mate 60 Pro.
Mate 60 pro is a huge let down. As is the Mate 60 Pro Plus.
I found the Huawei 60 Pro better overall
It would be interesting to see another comparison with the Huawei Mate 60 Pro as a contender.
Awesome review as always though.
I guess next time it will be the Mate 60 Pro if it's going global.
Once I switched my stream to a much higher resolution (at least 1080p) I saw that the P60 pro, for me, gave the best results.
Even the overexposing of portrait shots and video jitters? The rest were very good yes the low light and stills.
7:47 you must to tap focus on iPhone screen before selfie, it’s difficult to use but it works every time.
Friend, I have a normal iPhone 15 and I'm thinking about switching to the S23 ultra because I like to play emulators and it's not free on the iPhone. But I have doubts whether the S23 camera is better than the normal iPhone 15 in photos and videos and which of the two will upload better quality on Instagram?
All 3 models have really good output
But the ranking of these in my opinion
1)S23U
2)15PM
3)P60 pro
my friend s23u should be placed on 3 - all the photos on the s23 are just sharpened and dont look good at all
Amazing camera comprision as always Chris Sir
Thanks for watching
The recent changes in iPhone photos don't sit well with me. It feels like they're relying too heavily on software tweaks, neglecting hardware improvements. Consequently, they end up over-editing and removing the natural imperfections that give photos their uniqueness and memorability. Apple's approach often leaves photos feeling lifeless. In my view, a great camera should aim to capture moments rather than just "fix" them.
Wrong
Bro that's what the Samsung does. Iphone rarely use ai in their photos lmao

When can review Huawei Mate 60 Pro?
S24 ultra should come with 5x optical zoom as well, also it would be enough to zoom up to 50x instead of 100x with better stabilization. None need 100x because it's not really useful.
Unless you are a crane operator and what to see the the score of a match on the neighbour's tv
It's really important tho. Imagine there is a criminal happening over there. You can just zoom your phone. Clear or not, it's still used as evidence in court.
@@crystalsnow3789 such an important use 🤣 who tf happens to record a criminal scene where 100x zoom is needed? are you clear in your head?
Great video, In the video its almost crystal clear for me that the wide-angle camera on the Huawei is taking a best overall photo, see the details at the trees and mountains in the background and the details in metal fence in the floor, you can literally count them.. no discussions there, the other 2 phones makes decently but its clear which one is the winner there.
I need to say that I have had those 3 phones in my hands and I haven made deep tests and I like the most the Huawei. I keep complaining that creators of this content do not understand that the real portrait mode of the Huawei is not the ¨Portrait¨ mode but the ¨Aperture¨ mode, they are huge different modes. In the Aperture mode you get natural and perfect portrait photos with natural colors and bokeh, while in Portrait mode adds beauty effect, unnatural colors and bokeh effect. And I´m surprised that bloggers still use portrait mode and do comparisons in this way, that´s unfair. They should take more time knowing the phones and their features in order to get the most of them. Another thing that I noticed on my experience is that the 10x photos look huge better in the Huawei compare to the Samsung, even being an hybrid one. In video mode I´m clear that Huawei is not the best. Finally I need to say that I have always been an iPhone user, and because of the amazing camera of the Huawei I decided to get this phone and I will go back to iPhone only the day that an iPhone does it much better than Huawei in photography. Being an iPhone lover, need to say that I´m keeping my Huawei for now, that being a DSRL camera owner, this phone is the closest to DSLR camera.
Have you already updated to the newest version of Harmony OS, the camera's software be improved

Seems like the androids really got much better with the video stutters in the recent years. I feel like the advantage of iPhones in video recording got a lot smaller. In the night shots all of them seem to stutter though, even the iPhone?
I agree with the portrait mode. I usually hate that fake bokeh with the artificial edges. The iPhones portrait mode is so good though, I would actually use it.
Yes they all had low light video jitter. And the iPhone portrait mode is the best i've seen yet.
I dunno, The iPhone is now recording in ProRes Log now.
The night video requires slower shutter speed. And the slower shutter speed results in jutter while panning.
theniphone records in the proRES log, and it's much better quality but you have to grade the footage yourself. And even the normal video is ofcourse better than the competition.
You have to check video settings. There is a setting for the iphone to automatically lower the fps in low light when shooting video in order to let more light in for each frame. This can lead to those jitter artifacts when rendering the video in 30fps for youtube.
Is there a reason you didn't use the same settings?
Minor recommendation if it's still possible would be to rename the title to say "Max" so people find your video when they are looking specifically for reviews of the Max phone and not just the Pro version.
I agree. When I read the title, I thought that it was just the 15 Pro without new 5x zoom, which I came for. But after watching the video, now, I know it's the Pro Max.
Changed it to read Max, sorry about that. Hopefully TH-cam doesn't kill the video now the title changed which can happen 🤦♂️
The organic P60 pro camare is amazing vs the artificial retouched of the iphone.
S23 ultra takes good photos but once u zoom in after u take pic the photos are Blurry not Crisp or clear how di I fix this problem
Apple advertised a new lens coating, but the lens flare on the iPhone is still terrible.
Still terrible yes.
QUESTION:: why wen I take a picture with the s23 ultra in the picture details it says a lower MP.... 200MP picture says 124MP, 50MP says 31MP and 12MP says 7MP .....is this false advertising or am I missing something
Thank you so much Chris for this amazing comparison, didn't think you'll do it that fast
I'm surprised for the p60 pro performance, seems it's gotten better after updates, yet no Chinese company can compete with iphone or Samsung unfortunately
That simply not true. The Vivo X90 Pro+, Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Oppo Find X6 Pro are all crushing the iPhone and Samsung, if you know how to use them. The hardware of these three chinese smartphones in terms of the cameras is simply far superior. If you like artificial and very processed looking photos which you can identify as photos taken on a smartphone iPhone and S23 Ultra will do the job. If you want photos as close as possible to an DSLR the chinese ones I mentioned are the way to go. They are so good that often you won't be able to tell if the photos are taken by a smartphone or an DSLR
Huawei used to beat them. However, with the ban and losing access to some important hardware and software, they can't anymore.
Now the new Huawei mate 60pro is better than iPhone.

You said the IPhone has the best stability, but we can see, that it wobbles more than the S23 Ultra
I recommend you to try the photo softening on medium in Samsung camera assistant, makes photos look so much more natural and pleasing.
Yes that's an option but for my camera comparisons I use default settings on all phones. If I start tweaking and improving one that's not fair in the others so all stock settings as if out if the box (expect watermarks on)
@@Techtablets Yeah, that makes the most sense, but maybe it's worth mentioning. Love your videos by the way!
@@TechtabletsI think it would be fair. It is not fair that Apple does not let you tweak too much their devices. If you want to get the best the phone can deliver, then use all the options that the provider gives you. The camera comparison is about how much you can do with a phone camera, not what the provider lets you do by default.
But kudos for the video!
What's the difference between oversharpening and having more details? In one comparison you say you don't like the Samsung because it's oversharpening, while in another at night you like the Huawei for having more details(which look to me like it's oversharpening also)

This is the 3rd year that whatever you choose in the (premium) flagship segment, there's not really a showstopper in cameras. You either have to nitpick or going technical to find flaws.
Depends there is a big difference with Zoom video stabilisation and then portrait shots but for the reset yes, you have to really pixel peep.

Better HDR from iPhone at 3:30 at highlights
Thanks for this video. Sorry for mistakes, English is not my mother langage ;-).
Most of the tests published show the same tendencies in daylight pictures, among witch : though users are often get used to cooler WB (too bluish), the new iPhone 15 Pro (Max too) are a bit too warm (not on all pictures, but often too yellowish). Exposure tends to "wash" shadows a bit too much (resulting in contrast curve ratio that is often not that pleasant for human eyes, pictures are "oversaturated" instead).
Difficult to get an opinion regarding telephoto lenses quality on 15 Pro(s). What focal gives the most acceptable quality (3x-77mm or 5x-120mm équiv.). I'd personally enjoyed to give a try to Pro Max (because a bit lighter this year for a bigger screen) but I choose Pro for the cameras capabilities first. The range 24 up to 120 mm is ideal IMHO, so 5x is of course welcome and interesting to get some details. Unfortunately, the way it is implemented leads to say goodbye to the probably more all-around 77mm, unless 3x digital crop on Pro Max main camera delivers as good quality as 3x optical lens (I doubt a lot about this).
Last but not least: no one refered to the minimum focusing distance of 5x compared to 3x.
Have a nice sunday :-).
I too prefer the 3x it was more practical especially for portraits I found. Apple always love ve to make the phones too warm in white balance, look at the portrait shots but other photos like the ultrawide were okay.
@@Techtablets Thanks a lot for answering 🙂. I understand you prefer 3x focal, but what do you think about image quality with both (if you had a chance to compare closely) 3x vs 5x optical lenses?
I'm having a look at samples from 15 Pro (or Max): not only too often yellowish, also a bit too reddish on many shots.
Once again, I agree with you, not on all pictures and type of pictures. However, Apple choices are not reliable/constant and overall looking tend often to be "not natural".
Beside that, it is (more than ever) crazy to have to think that much before shooting. I mean if user wish the best possible quality, he/she has to think which focal length to chose from (optical vs digital) and depending on what sensor will be used behind, even before thinking about other settings (exposure compensation, etc.).
I don't know how far Apple is going to go into the "bypassing" and "part of images" weird assembly 😞.
Best 🙂,
So that means i will keep all of them 😊
The basis of a cell phone is communication. iPhone 15 Pro Huawei 60 Pro+ is not comparable to the iPhone 15 Pro. Although the iPhone 15 chip is 3mn it is not as good as the Huawei 60 Pro+, which has satellite calling.
ah i hoped you'd use Magic5pro instead, much more interesting to the non-chinese market.
