Goodness me, here I was after your flagship review and hoping so hard someone out there would review the Premium and there you go again, impressing us with your clear cut and honest review for laymen like us. What more, in the colour I'm getting for my X50 Premium! Kudos to you bro, you may not stand out to the rest but you've got my long time support and well wishes in this industry to you!
Thank you so much for your kind words my friend! Haha I hope you enjoy your new car and perhaps we can do a owner feedback review after 6 months 😍, once again I appreciate the support so much.. will continue to bring my best !
Nice review bro. I think u have the quality to be a car review. Maybe a little bit of brush up, here and there, but still, good job in covering the driving amd handling of Premium variant. However, just improve the quality of recording, maybe u can use a camera that sticks on somewhere in the car, but still maintaining the one on your head for that first-person-view angle. Yes, the editing time will be added but its worth it. Try watch Bobby Ang, PaulTan channel, or even Naz Abdullah to learn about camera positioning. Overall, nice review, keep it up 👍🏻
The MFI engine's has a proven reliable system compared to the TGDI. The carbon built-up is inevitable in TGDI's which needs walnut blasting to ensure the engine stays to it's optimum state. Saying that my concern are on the maintenance of TGDI vs MFI, would love a video on that. Maybe it's me, but i am abit sceptical in having so many electronics features such as ADAS, auto wipers, auto parking and such on Proton-Geely car. Perhaps if its on their 3rd year or 4 years of production then ..i might go for it. But for now feels like Premium is a better choice. This is just me.
Good review. But as I drive the engine is noisy abit. Mayb because its 3 cylinder. Premium will be the best choice. Other accessories you can just add in future..10k differents with the flagship. Be a good buyer guys!
Should have compared the x50 executive with flagship instead. Executive should cater for those with a tighter budget while flagship for those who can afford.
Good review for those booking to decide between Mpi or Tgdi. Agreed that sunroof is nice to hv but a burden to maintain with extra insurance. Tested both today too n if u dont need the power, just get the premium. Would prefer Premium to hv Automonous braking though. That's why I choose FS. Anyway I don't need auto parking n Adas too
The flagship does about 10L/100km in the real world and the premium is in the same ball park as well.. these are real world test figured, because the stated promotional figures are not even close 😂
I wonder if in the long run, the MPI is more reliable than the TGDI, since most direct injection engine is prone to carbon buildup; there is a solution to it - walnut blast intake port, oxy hydrogen carbon cleansing etc.
@@fmlmobilelegend9723 yea that's right. If you want easier maintenance, go for MPI. Direct injection does have its merits - better efficiency due to higher compression ratio, better combustion due to finer fuel atomization, better power. However all these benefits do require a bit more maintenance. Proton has done well to provide both options to consumers.
@@thatindiantalkscars for VAG group cars, can observe carbon build up after 2-3 years. Some engines from VAG group combine both MPI & GDI, Toyota does this as well so that you get best of both, e.g. harrier/lexus rx turbo engine, alphard 3.5v6 2018 model etc.
Hi bro. Thanks for your review. Only your channel got review driving performance for premium. I am sctually contemplating fs and premium. Inclined towards premium, but afraid if missing out on power. I have a family of four adults and worried if no power to climb hill(balik kampung karak highway). What do you think bro, premium is actually more than enough?
Hey man! Good to hear, I would say for a family of 4, if you're not looking for full on speeding kind of performance, then the premium will do the job fine la tbh. Yes it's lower than Flagship but for the regular stuff, its capable enough. Hope this helps! 😊
Bro. Which SC have bought the proper tools for servicing and parts change, and also the pc box(computer box) to plug in the car to check for errors for x50 & x70. ?
I bet executive little bit faster as the tyre size is smaller.. But you wont feel so much difference.. Mpi is good enough.. Tgdi is powerful but you wont use it frequently.. Our road is full with traffic jam.. Hahah
@@georgebutland7367 Thank you for the input! Have booked and have been waiting for the executive spec, hopefully it all turns out well in the long run !
Machaaa, just pay 10k more for d powah and bells and whistles lah! Stretched over a 9 yr loan, it’s just extra peanuts every month wat. But I do agree, 150hp, 220nm in a lite-ish car with dct is much adequate... Yes, d competition is no competition!
Hmm I'm more focused towards the performance aspect rather than tech features so I would spend it on lighter wheels, better tyres, a downpipe, ecu remap. I would say the flagship has nice stuff like the panaromic roof and 360 parking but for me it feels like it's a nice to have, other than the ADAS system which is good for safety and convenient for cruising
@@blurboii17 downpipe, remap or maybe a bigger better turbine will sure make additional 27hp? How much will it cost?..i will say at least 3-4k..waranty will void for sure

this shows malaysian has never care for safety. Only what biggest car can buy at cheapest price. The last 20 years, we only evo-ed to care about airbag which is exactly what the premium have. No wonder Perodua beats Proton year over year.

just my two cents, can you just attach the camera somewhere instead of attaching on your head? kinda dizzy following your head bopping around.
Will do my man! Thank you for the tip, will alter accordingly in future content 🙏🏾

must compared with monthly installment, if diferences are manageble then go with flagship
Straight foward review. Thanks alot bro.

I booked executive. So I am quite concerned about the driving difference as I test drove the Flagship. Good review

nice video... this variant not bad. majority people choose premium variant bcoz people don't care about sunroof.
True that.. real world buyers
Yeah, sunroof is a bad option in malaysian weather
