Just got back from El Nido, We flew in from Manila. Stayed at Corong Beach Resort (right on the beach). Took a boat tour for 4 days to Coron and flew to Cebu from there. The Boat Tour was with "BIG DREAM BOATMAN" and was the highlight of our journey in the Philippines. Loved your Video.

I live in Palawan. This video gave the ups and downs to visiting here and every place has its ups and downs. I appreciate that the downs weren't so disparaging. They were practical and adjusts the visitor to what to expect. Better they are aware before going and not caught by surprised thus enjoying their trip.

ROFL, I live in Palawan. This is actually one of the most misinformed travel videos I’ve seen. I had to watch the whole thing just because I couldn’t believe the information they were trying to sell. I won’t see which one, but one of the people they recommended, was in fact recently arrested for practicing business without a license.
Not the kind of people you want to lead unsuspecting foreigners to.

@@SerendipityPoint if you are going to make a statement like this, at least explain why it's so misinformed. The way they made the video and gave all sorts of info in a structured manner made me think it was a great video. They don't live there and were only passing by so you can forgive them for not being completely accurate. If the info is wrong then please explain for other people who may be watching and considering their advice.

    • @SerendipityPoint
      @SerendipityPoint 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@mauriciojulianramosdiaz4213 THE REASON why I made my comment without naming SPECIFIC BUSINESSES, is because I myself am a resident in Palawan. You may be uneducated about the culture and values of the people of Palawan, or the Philippines for that matter, but one thing we do is RESPECT ONE ANOTHER.
Yes, in the United States, backstabbing and pointing fingers at one another with evil intent is perhaps an acceptable behavior. But here in Palawan, WE DON'T DO THAT. Even if the guy who cuts lumber for my resort got caught and arrested for dealing drugs (true example), WE DO NOT GOSSIP or direct focus upon their misfortune or bad choices.
Does that make any sense to you? Can you grasp a cultural value that, although disagreeing with bad information, we prefer to not EXPLOIT or join the condemnation train, as other nations might be prone to in their values.
So please, if you're going to step on the shoulders of a nation or region to gain internet fame for yourself, LEARN TO ACCEPT THE VALUES OF THAT REGION YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. It's basic respect. O.k.?

I watched a ton of You Tube videos on the Philippines and have a few favorite vloggers. I love their cinematics and story telling but I must say, yours has been the most informative, comprehensive and useful. I'm planning a trip to El Nido soon and this has helped me immensely. The two of you are a great team and I very much like your style and presentation of the information. Thank you so much for this guide and all your other Philippine videos. I am learning quite a bit. You can easily get between these islands in central Philippines for a fair price.

I went to El Nido about five + years ago and they were still constructing the concrete road. I was a bit worried once it had been completed the tranquility would be ruined. It looks the same as I remember so that's good. The cafe I went to upstairs near the boats had to turn on power for a limited time so you could use the internet. Of course you had to buy a drink there as well. Booking ahead is essential in peak periods. I had to stay down the road as all cheap places were booked out in town.

Its cheaper to fly from Clark International Airport, it will save you half of the fare compared to flying out of Manila with Airswift. I checked the rate flying in to Puerto Princessa and its more expensive than direct El Nido flights from Clark. You can hit two birds in one stone, tour around Pampanga at the same time and enjoy some kapampangan food. I just booked for next month 😊 also for booking tours and transport its worth looking at Klook. I got tour A for just 895 pesos from 1200 😊 see you soon El Nido!

I haven't been to El Nido yet, ... about to go though, and hence the reason I am watching this vid... I just wanted to chip in that in my experience traveling throughout other remote islands of the Philippines, I have had success just using my phone service and using the phone hotspot for my laptop. If you use Smart you can text 'GIGA50' to phone number 9999 and get pretty good data for 3 days, and if you run out, just text it again. GIGA50 means 50 pesos, I think ($1). I was in Siargao and did this to watch some sporting events on my computer via the phone hotspot. It's also faster than most wifi's you will come across. Hope that helps anyone. Anyways... thanks Int Affair for this video... I feel like I've got a heads up before heading to El Nido now.

Local here if you hit up Lio Estate which has free shuttles from downtown and its where locals go to get away from the busy downtown area. In the Lio area, the internet is fast there and speeds run around 20 mbps. The free wifi is good for an hour at the estate but if you have mobile data on Globe its super fast. Tambok's nearby is a new filipino eatery which also has fast wifi.

I literally just got back from the Philippines yesterday and we did stay at one of the newer hotels at Lio beach. It's certainly cleaner, quieter, and more low key, but the on-premise restaurants are pricey and the shuttles fill up really fast. We had to get there at least 30min early to even get on. Also the BPI ATM (the only one in the whole area) didn't give us cash, yet deducted from our bank accounts and several other western tourists had the same issue. We had to fill out tons of forms at a BPI branch in Manila to dispute the issue, as well as my bank at home. Also Chinese tourists are everywhere and they're kinda loud and rude. Certainly a cultural difference, but fairly accurate.

Awesome video! I watched it weeks ago before going there and just got back yesterday. Very accurate and useful info. We had a group of 8 so hiring vans for all trips, even Nacpan beach made sense. We stayed at Lio beach - just north of El Nido town and right next to that small airport. It was a very new, clean, good wifi, and quiet area, with an hourly shuttle to the town, but probably not the cheapest. I couldn't fly my drone there because of the airport. I will say that we researched flying into Coron and taking the ferry over or flying directly into Elnido via that small airport and it was actually quite reasonable when you consider the cost and time of driving from Puerto Princessa. I would totally do that next time. Tour A was awesome and I got some great aerial footage, but also so sunburnt that I just couldn't do tour C. You're probably right in that it all looks the same... At least that's what I tell myself LOL...

There are a lot of direct flights from Manila and Cebu to El Nido via Air Swift. They land at Lio, an area where you might want to stay. Better accommodation and fast internet. Best boat tour goes to El Nido Yachting Club. They are AMAZING!

9/5/2019 Just purchased ticket from Clark airport (2 hour bus north of Manila and very close to Angeles red light district) to El Nido for $120 per person all-in. This is from Air Swift airlines. Flight times are very good both leaving Clark and arriving back into Clark. There is a bus at terminal 3 in Naia that will take you to Clark airport.

Well done! So informative. The market is quite the experience. You covered a lot. Ziplining to the small island was epic at sunset. I may suggest that Coron is a can't miss part of the island. One of my favorites in Asia. Yes a bit more, but, so worth it! Great Jobs guys. Cheers to 15,000!!

@ Int Affair You sure did! Wifi is bad on the island. Great opportunity to put the devices away and enjoy the island. Nacpan was nice and if you go South a bit, there is Twin Beach which is secluded. Safe travels! 😉
