    Hi! We are in Port Barton.
    Things changed a lot after covid and the typhoon in dec 2021.
    - Whitebeach is permanently closed
    - Motorbike is 500 for 8 hours
    - All island snorkling tours are 1500 peso incl. fee
    - The restaurant vegehouse and Stellbucks are permanently closed.
    - Olive's restaurant still exist but is called Flavoroso now.

      Are there any LONG TERM RENTALS AVAILABLE? I have friends and extended family in Puerto Princesa not far from Roxas but I am looking to rent long term when I arrive in June or July depending on COVID Pandemic travel restrictions

    You two have one of the best and most useful trip guides. Likeable and humble on camera presence, precise and clear communication of info. Thank you very much! Please keep these going, the travelling community needs your guidance. Much success and adventures to you both.

    Port Barton has 24 hour electricity as of December 2018. Woohoo!
    Getting a motorcycle ride from a local to waterfalls or White Beach usually runs 100 pesos per person one way.
    Island hopping is now 1,200 pesos per person and includes mask, lunch, and island fees.
    White Beach is 300 pesos for drop off and pick up on a bangka (local boat).

      Has the road upgrade been completed?

    • @kobayashimaru65
      @kobayashimaru65 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, they are still working on the road to White Beach. I don’t know about to the waterfalls, because I have not been that way for a while. In town, only only a small portion of the road is done, which is connected to the one going to White Beach. I think work has been slowed down now, because we are in a major drought now. No significant rain for 4-5 months now.

    "Remember, you're in a JUNGLE." Gee, other vloggers should watch your no BS guides. I think I've had enough of backpackers going to Palawan and complaining about the lack of WiFi and the "ridiculous prices" - as if everything must be dirt cheap just because it's in a third world country (f*ck the poor locals, and screw the laws of supply and demand!).
    I love this series. Keep 'em going!

    • @IntAffair
      @IntAffair  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      😂 Just keeping it real! A lot of vloggers depend on strong wifi so we get where they are coming from. No room for complaints though...

    Very nice, I was in Port Barton for my birthday last March. I got to spend a month in Palawan. I think the small falls are better you can get to them by boat tour. So awesome to be at the beach and 10min later at a waterfall.

    Hey :) I was at the second waterfall there (i think). Going there is a a must see. I found a random local who guided us there for 300 pesos. It is like 2,5 h walk through the jungle one way which, itself its a great adventure and amazing views. Waterfall itself is a really wild place, not much touched by the tourism. The additonal attraction is while it is already dark during your way back. Night in the jungle. Highly recommended :)
    BTW - fantastic guides you make. Keep it on.

    Wow! This review is Legit! Travelled to Palawan (Puerto Princesa & El Nido) in Rainy Season and it rained for four days straight and boats weren't allowed to get off the port by the Coast Guard. We were lucky that on our 5th day the skies were clear and was able to do island hopping. Will be back in the dry season next year May 2021 hoping COVID is not a major issue anymore. Quick question...I'm doing Coron and another spot. Which do you recommend? Araceli or Port Barton?

    Thanks for this, really informative! I'm currently in Port Barton now and yes Wifi is still flimsy but a data from local SIM is good 😊 I've seen 2 ATM machines now but not sure if they're working and how much they charge for withdrawing money hehe

    If you could do one for Phuket/phi phi that would be awesome. I’ve watched all your videos and if there’s any random tips you have to share that would be awesome!!!!

    • @IntAffair
      @IntAffair  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rachel Matteson Thanks Rachael! Phuket will be tough bc our hard drive with all of our footage crashed on us last year.
      We may head back to Phi Phi this year to check on Maya Bay.
      If we do go back we'll definitely make one!

    I had a friend who did not like the experience. Port Barton has more of a laid back, stripped down luxury, back packer vibe. If you have been to the best of Palawan and that is more of your liking, you may not like Port barton. She said that in general the food was not good.

    Don't they discourage sunscreen to protect the reefs ?

    • @IntAffair
      @IntAffair  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They do! We pack a reef safe, biodegradable one for those days. We'll be sure to cover it in another guide! 💯

    I plan to come here in January. Would 2 days here and 3 days in El nido be worth it? How comparable are the water tours?

  • @moescadlock3163
    @moescadlock3163 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you guys bring day gear, like snorkeling masks and fins or is it available for rent, buy?

    • @IntAffair
      @IntAffair  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn't bring any. The boat tours will include masks & snorkels (not fins). Scuba tours will include fins. Outside of the tours we didn't see any specifically for rent but we're sure you can find them with some of the boat captains/hotels and negotiate a rate.

    Is it hard to ride their motorbikes?

    • @IntAffair
      @IntAffair  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not hard to ride them, the roads are the main concern. Just take things slow 😃

      We would have loved to but we only had enough time to do Palawan. Still didn't even make it to Southern Palawan 😔. We will have to go back for sure!
