Name suggestion for the waterfront: Amalia Beach, named after "Amalia" ship that crashed into the rocks of the coastline in this area in early 1800's, and I think there should be a museum of history of that ship
I do feel like Rockport should have a big university campus (RU - Rockport University) and a casino strip inspired by either Las Vegas or Atlantic City.
Somehow when i look at the city “Rock Port”, the name Rockwell comes up in my mind. Might be the founding father of the city or maybe the 1st mayor. And would be iconic if the port area was to be named “Port Rockwell” what do you guys think?
With network multitools you can add sharp edges to the seawall by playing with the nods ! You can also remove the sand with surface painter ! Really love your videos !
Amazing build as always! 😊👌🏻 I think you should start looking over the different functions of network multitool you can unlock roads, fences etc that’s included in the buildings & then remove/change them for something else instead ☺️ So you could have just used that to remove the roads attached to the fishing industry instead. You can also use it on park gates, just remember to lock them again if you want to generate some money from them 😅
Looks awesome so far!! I think for a little bit of realism, it might be wise to expand the jetty-like structure you made near the smaller fishing structures, and maybe put some large rocks on top of it instead of the grass, maybe even on the sides since many jetties are made purely of huge boulders.
if u still want an active tuna industry, instead of disabling the building u can terraform the waterways for tuna to spawn, they prefer deep flowing water so if there's a wide river, u can terraform the area to be deeper and they should appear, or if not have a play around the map to test out the best solution. Great series btw, I'm loving this one.
Rockport's backstory should be based on a company called "Rock Corp Inc.", which came to this place back in the day after finding out that a big vein of some material is located there. Since this was a vast and unpopulated area away from population, they created a village for the employees to stay in for the time of the operations. After some time it appeared that the amount of resource was bigger than they anticipated and so because the operations needed to be extended for an uncertain amount of time, the workers brought their families into this village. But the village was too small to house their families so they expanded it. This in turn brought non-workers to populate this area further. After years of the mining operations and people coming to this area the city of Rockport has been founded. Using this backstory you could add "Rockstone Mining Operations" ore-industrial district. A small town, that is less advanced (worse condition buildings, smaller/less developed houses etc.) nearby, being the village. And the biggest skyscraper in the middle of Downtown, as the Rock Corp Inc. offices
In coastal towns that have a history of fishing the older plots usually have really long yards. Its because they dried their fishing nets. I think that would make a neat backstory for a "old town"
With the Fishing you can also use the multitool mod and unlock the road and can upgrade it to a different road or delete it. But if you use this method you have to lock it back when your done otherwise bad things might happen.
I feel as if the first neighborhood built could be called Koura Bay, Koura being the definition of gold in Maori as I feel this well represents the neighborhood nowadays. I feel as if Koura Bays' story starts as a small seaside town possibly being one of the first settled in the area. However very early on, it stayed relatively small due to an insufficiently sized bay for larger ships and room to grow the town, As Rockport city grew larger, Koura Bay found itself in a position as a getaway place, a bay was people would go on the weekend or holiday and the higher class housing could be explained as wealthier people purchasing holiday/weekend homes, increasing demand for housing and driving housing prices in the area higher, thus only higher class people can afford.
You could name a part of the city racers rest as lots of rich racers who escaped the Rockport cops live there. (Need for speed reference btw) great series keep it up
I'm loving Rockport so far, and I wanted to drop maybe a few names you could use. Maybe for the posh neighbor hood something like Sand Strip or Mellowbrook and for the sea area you made today something like Minnow's Hook or Anchorside. If you find any of these names interesting, you are glad to use them, for the suggested places, or for new places you make. Thank you, and keep up the good work ❤️!
Rockport’s origin might be mining? You know cus of the rock part. Mining Industries are also very large and would thus be a big part of the city and the map, making it a large landmark from aerial view. I also really hope you would consider making it a functional city, since you are still early in the series. Ps you can surface paint the sand to grass, I think.
There needs to be either a small bakery or a cafe in the industrial district somewhere, tradespeople love their meat pies and sausage rolls in the morning for breakfast.
I think you need a bit more parking near the water, just place like 2 garages and that should be god. Especially for the residential area. Since you are using move it, perhaps you could place apartments around a parking garage, like you see in irl downtowns.
I think the "Posh" neighborhood should be called Deanwood. Also, next episode you should either build the downtown high-rise section or build an amusement park or zoo.
It would be really cool if there was some sort of markets on the port in addition to the seafood market. The markets could be (/or surround) some old repurposed industrial buildings.
Just letting you know that network multitool mod has a feature that unlocks segments like roads. As for a future build maybe get the interactive prison mod and make a maximum security prison area somewhere 🤔 as for the posh area my name suggestion is Aeneas
this may be a stretch, but i think you should include maybe like a national state park, including lakes and cabins and trails. camping equipment, supplies, tents, etc.
In my mind, the port districts should have very simple names, as they are frequently used. Keep in mind, place names often come from simple descriptions. Therefore, I suggest names such as "Old Port" for the cargo port and "New Port" for the fisheries and cruise ports respectively. The cargo port looks like it is located there because of natural terrain, while the cruise port looks man made. Maybe the posh neighbourhood could be called Oak Crest, as it not only sounds kind of pretentious but also describes the area rather well.
Can you do houses buit into cliffs and over cliffs? Create some resorts? Sand Dunes. Rock climbing (mountain sides). Airport. More cruise ship options. Cool island? An archipelago. Idk what is possible, just discovered this and love watching. It's like Rust but for cities. Love it.
Name Suggestion: As Rockport is a bit inspired by Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005, you could name some areas like the areas in the game. For residential area "Rosewood" or for the Marina Area "Camden Beach" and Downtown could then be the real "Rockport City"
Just a note, but I’ve seen in another TH-camrs cs build that the city quays broke their transit system so if you are planning to have that then just be aware that the city quays may be the problem
Suggestion: Since you added offices, you should make a university. You should base this university off of Queen's University and Royal Military College, both located in Kingston Ontario. While looking at your port, it kinda reminded me of Kingston's waterfront district.
You should look into the mods that you have installed, node controller & network multi-tool they do some really cool stuff, for instance sharpening corners on your quays with NC or unlocking roads from building with NMT.
The building @ 2:33 has a little ramp at the left ish side facing inland and it’s no longer accessible when you finish moving the building but eh we’re not going to see 🤷🏼♂️
You dont need another mod you already have network multitool? It has a unlock-lock segment tool so you can unlock and then delete or upgrade roads of the buildings. Just remember to lock them back to be safe. You can also sharpen the edges pf quays with node controller, bringing each end to minimum.
Take you're time with this city and build it as detailed as possible. Even if you get late or even if CS 2 is out, just continue this until its actually a nice city.
I am going to loose it if you build the road piece from nfs most wanteds rockports face road. Its the weird pointless piece of road in point campton in Rockport. It should be very obvious what i mean if you google the map. Anyways i discovered this channel through this series and i am going to stay now. Soo herr you are
I am EXTREMELY NEW to this game. I just started my city and contaminated the water. What can I do to fix the water problem? Thank you in advance. I built more clinics for the sick.
Use the inland water treatment centers (away from water tower). The sewage output dumps shit into the water. And if you use the water pump, don't put it downstream from a sewage output.
Name suggestion for the waterfront: Amalia Beach, named after "Amalia" ship that crashed into the rocks of the coastline in this area in early 1800's, and I think there should be a museum of history of that ship
there is a ship museum in the Mass Transit DLC.
That's a good idea
Yoooo I got a heart from Tim! Does it mean I'm gonna be featured in a video?
I like how this city is turning out, the details and everything, I hope you expand the outskirts and maybe add a small nearby village too
I do feel like Rockport should have a big university campus (RU - Rockport University) and a casino strip inspired by either Las Vegas or Atlantic City.
Somehow when i look at the city “Rock Port”, the name Rockwell comes up in my mind. Might be the founding father of the city or maybe the 1st mayor. And would be iconic if the port area was to be named “Port Rockwell” what do you guys think?
Nice idea, maybe oldtown is named Rockwell Villa?
@@gameerman7898 good idea, adds into the lore of the city
rockwell is a boss in ark: survival evolved lol
With network multitools you can add sharp edges to the seawall by playing with the nods !

Bebe wake up, new TheTimeister video just drop
Amazing build as always! 😊👌🏻

the comment I was looking for!

I ❤rock port its so realistic
Whenever one of these drops you have to make sure you like coz the amount of effort thats goes into these is 🔥🔥

keep up the good work my dude!
pretty good looking port, good job!
Better bulldozer is crazy outdated. Better tool for that in the future would be the “unlock segment” tool within the Network Multitool
Hi, nice video again 😉
a "realistic" waterfront with shipping and fishing assets but...no lighthouses!? 🤔🤔
no good...no good...😩
👍👏😉
With the Fishing you can also use the multitool mod and unlock the road and can upgrade it to a different road or delete it. But if you use this method you have to lock it back when your done otherwise bad things might happen.

Not in the start but later on a big beautiful university would be awesome
Very good !
which mod do you use to remove road from fishing harbours?
Rockport’s origin might be mining?
You know cus of the rock part.

Im a new subcriber.Just wanna say that you video are amazing
The big timer could be like the Hollywood sign
There needs to be either a small bakery or a cafe in the industrial district somewhere, tradespeople love their meat pies and sausage rolls in the morning for breakfast.
Nice 👍
Hell yea a new rockport video
I think you need a bit more parking near the water, just place like 2 garages and that should be god. Especially for the residential area. Since you are using move it, perhaps you could place apartments around a parking garage, like you see in irl downtowns.
I think the "Posh" neighborhood should be called Deanwood.
Also, next episode you should either build the downtown high-rise section or build an amusement park or zoo.
I'd like to see a construction site in the city even though I dont think it will be possible with only vanilla
yea a construction of a big skyscraper or smth like that would be a great addition to bring life to the city, as if it is in the making
It would be really cool if there was some sort of markets on the port in addition to the seafood market. The markets could be (/or surround) some old repurposed industrial buildings.
I think it would be cool to do a city hall type of area with a park, maybe near the main train station.
Use network multi tools unlock button , it unlocks the roads on the buildings so you can delete it easy and you already use that mod??
Just letting you know that network multitool mod has a feature that unlocks segments like roads. As for a future build maybe get the interactive prison mod and make a maximum security prison area somewhere 🤔 as for the posh area my name suggestion is Aeneas
This!
You should name the posh neighborhood "Rockposh"
if you go way out and make a deep pocket in the terrain it will create a sliver of tuna, kind of like a drop off under water
Network multitool actually has the function to delete nodes that come attached to buildings. Inside the menu the lock symbol
this may be a stretch, but i think you should include maybe like a national state park, including lakes and cabins and trails. camping equipment, supplies, tents, etc.
Simply dope
Maybe this is just the American in me, but it doesn’t seem like there’s enough parking. Super cool build otherwise, love all the detailing
you can also use the unlock segment tool from network multitools to delete or change the roads
You can get different fish types by raising and lowering the level of the water. So, you should still be able to get Tuna in the water by doing that.
In my mind, the port districts should have very simple names, as they are frequently used. Keep in mind, place names often come from simple descriptions.

adding some parking lots in some infrastracture would be nice
Good work!
Very good!
Wonder where u gonna put ur skyline downtown be
Hi what is the name of the mod that you were talking at the start of the video?
love the series
An idea: make a island with a ferry dock and just turn it in to a full Zoo or theme park, and putt many hotels and stuff on it and try to make it 5⭐️
Can you do houses buit into cliffs and over cliffs?
Create some resorts?
Sand Dunes. Rock climbing (mountain sides). Airport. More cruise ship options. Cool island? An archipelago.
Idk what is possible, just discovered this and love watching. It's like Rust but for cities. Love it.

I’ve seen that too, the quay with trees incorporated in it is the culprit, but the other ones should not be a problem 😊
Suggestion: Since you added offices, you should make a university. You should base this university off of Queen's University and Royal Military College, both located in Kingston Ontario. While looking at your port, it kinda reminded me of Kingston's waterfront district.

Maybe you can add a tiny beach near the city, at least in my country (Spain) it works perfectly to increase the value of the city and tourism.
Love ur videos
most definitely add a slums, or low-income area in the downtown area. 21:18.
The building @ 2:33 has a little ramp at the left ish side facing inland and it’s no longer accessible when you finish moving the building but eh we’re not going to see 🤷🏼♂️
I think the prison should be on an island if that’s possible.
maybe you could add a beach resort or smth like that

Just remember to lock them back to be safe. You can also sharpen the edges pf quays with node controller, bringing each end to minimum.
Can you make a river that goes into a waterfall on a mountain, and make like a part with a bunch of trees and windy dirt roads up the mountain
Take you're time with this city and build it as detailed as possible. Even if you get late or even if CS 2 is out, just continue this until its actually a nice city.
at the end of the video you should a person driving around or walkking around the area you just built. it just shows a different perspective
Someone please tell me how you instantly place buildings with “Find it” without waiting for it to grow up and without zoning. Help me please
I would love to see a quarry
0:02 🎉
you should build arenas or stadiums in city
I have an idea, make a park with The park DLC, and make a university with the DLC
Why not zone it in instead of plopping down?
yooo
Name the posh neighborhood Compton
very early
I am going to loose it if you build the road piece from nfs most wanteds rockports face road. Its the weird pointless piece of road in point campton in Rockport. It should be very obvious what i mean if you google the map. Anyways i discovered this channel through this series and i am going to stay now. Soo herr you are
you should do a terminal!
Maybe if you could make your own mods but still use others and put it in Rockport and dunswell
0:30 xd
I think more walkable place should be better
please can you share save file?
mod for node, can you give me name?
Name the posh neighbourhood "poshitown" cuz its posh😅
Add a baseball field
What about you name the next place after the person who suggested it?
You didn't need "bulldoze" mod. You already have network multitool. Does everything "bulldoze" does.
I am EXTREMELY NEW to this game. I just started my city and contaminated the water. What can I do to fix the water problem? Thank you in advance. I built more clinics for the sick.
