Patriotic sword fighters are for and against the Ching (Manchu) Dynasty as they head towards the Martial Inn. Three old men with long silver hair (who are very difficult to tell apart!) are key characters, along with a number of young men and very pretty young women, all very capable sword fighters. Buried under the smoldering looks, suspicions and even lines spoken in dialogue poetic couplets, there’s even a murder mystery.

Good to be able to watch the movie.
However, whomever edited the film cut off quite a few action parts leaving viewers wondering what happened to some of the characters (eg did the Valley leader also die during the fight on bridge).

This was GOOD! Lots of good actors - Ka Ta Wong (Carter Wong) was always so hansome! I had such a crush on him in high school! Costumes are very good in this too.

The historical reality in China was that fighting and battling has never been a noble or expert skill, it was unskilled, messy and brutal. Outcome was determined by numbers and type of weapons not masters or heros. All these entertaining movies of heros and superfighters had no historical reality.
Meanwhile we lying about actual history now to protect one race’s “feelings”😂

I had to do a bit of digging to find a movie where Chang Yi was a good guy, and that was in "The Tormentor". There may be more in which he was the good guy, but I have not seen them

The ultimate sacrifice of her father at the end in order to rid them of this tyrant.
Action from start to finish. Brilliant movie!
A very nice film worth it's title. I would also add that using Bow n arrow could have done to end the villain Commander.

Chang Yi is one of the best Kung Fu actors out there, I admire that man.
Chang Yi and Hwang Jang Lee are 2 of my top villains in these flicks. Love their style!

@@joshWUa915 I didn't forget Carter Wong. I said who "my favorite" villains were. Lol! Carter Wong didn't play the villian in as many movies as "my" two favorites. He was nasty in Born Invincible but "my" two favorites made a career on playing the villian. 🤣😎
