    Rick… just want to say thanks for the tip about the memory recall seats….. the minute you mentioned the full rear sensor…. lol. I adjusted the easy exit position, bumping forward from full rear, everything instantly began working as expected. I couldnt find anywhere else on youtube that explained the true root cause, only people saying to reset your settings and everything should work. Thanks again for adding it to the video.

    Love tech Tuesdays and we really appreciate both of you taking time out of your crazy schedule and already long days to still put these video together.
    You guys go beyond the call of duty 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
    As an aside, still not sure Mag ride is worth the money for most drivers especially if they don’t drive the car a lot.

    I am on the order list for a Z06. Admittedly I am concerned with buying a Corvette. My last Corvette was a C5 used for the track, so we replaced everything on the car: engine, tranny, rear, suspension, so it had the best possible equipment. The only original equipment was the alternator, which failed at ~10,000 miles. Hearing horror stories like the car won't start "Still in dive" scares me about Corvette ownership. My 2 Acuras never have any problems like that, or any of the myriad of other problems I hear on "Tech Tuesday" or what I see on the Corvette Forums.

    I want to thank you both for blowing off the issue with the tack and the engine moving up and down on my C8. Your idea that this is not an issue is the typical way GM blows off issues that they have no idea what to do, which is what GM is doing right now, just replacing parts not as Chuck indicated "GM will not replace a part unless they have identified the part as being the issue". I have tried all modes; this is a flat road and none of my past Vets or any vehicle I have owned in the last 40 years have had this issue. The best and honest answer should have been : You have no idea what the issue is".

    I experienced the same issue where I was't able to program the opener buttons on my C8 and noticed the owners manual states that if it is still not working after programming, like in demo, there are additional steps 4-6 that need to be performed. After performing the additional steps, I was able to get it successfully programmed. Refer to the Programming the Universal Remote System in the Owners Manual for those steps. Good luck.

    Too much BS

  • @Rob02138
    @Rob02138 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I can’t stand the dealer BS, “It didn’t do it for us...” And then that is just the end of it for them. Horseshit.
    I’m a Doctor...you come into my office and tell me you have an upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting I don’t make you throw up on my office floor before I’ll start working up your problem.
    The fact of the matter is you people are all “techs” now and don’t know the first thing about diagnosing and fixing a problem. You need a computer code to tell you what part is wrong, and then you change the part. Period.
    You laugh it off, like you did in this video, “oh well, it’s frustrating..laugh...laugh...but GM won’t let us do anything..laugh...next question.” It isn’t funny when yo have dropped $110K on a car and it leaves you stranded in the middle of nowhere.
    Learn to do your jobs better.

      How is a doctor any different than a auto tech? I’m sick next thing pee into a cup hey let’s draw some blood how about a MRI oh wait we need a cat scan. What’s the difference of putting car on a test machine? Nothing

    • @Rob02138
      @Rob02138 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@willvanderhoof873
      The point is in medicine the work up continues.
      In medicine, as in many aspects of life, there is a differential diagnosis list of possible things that could cause the symptom complex. Everyone knows this and deals wit this all the time. The AC in your house stops working, and you immediately think of a few things that can cause the problem: drainage blockage, tripped breaker, etc. You address each in turn.
      Is that what modern dealerships do with modern cars? In this very video is that what they discussed as an algorithmic approach to a customer stranded in his new ~$100K car?
      No. No, it isn’t.
      They plug it into a computer and if the computer doesn’t give them “the answer” they shrug their shoulders and say...”we need to replicate the problem before we can move forward.” In other words, there is no further work up planned, you are shit outa luck son.
      With regards to Rick’s comment that I don’t “have a clue.” Wrong. I have more than a clue. I have numerous cars including high end exotics and have dealt with this same issue before. The difference is at Ferrari dealership they view you as a valued client and continue to try and get the job done. I even had a problem with an F12 they couldn’t get right and Ferrari of North America flew a master tech down from NJ to spend a week getting the car repair right.
      It is very convenient for the dealership to stand back, shrug their shoulders!and blame the faceless “GM” as the ultimate culprit, and that at their little dealership they would love to help you...but their hands are tied.
      It is a common scapegoat shuffle game, and they pretend you matter to them.
