Yeah especially when its like that; a week of work. Take 2 if you are nzw at it And will save you 10000$ in labor. You probably don't make 20-30k a month, so donit yourself
Given that it’s the cost to install the sheet rock, that is fair. Given that a sheet of drywall is ~$11 if you buy enough of it. That is much cheaper than it is around my location. I paid ~$20,000 for just the drywall and installation on a job simile in size to this one… although they did put two coats of primer on it as well.
@@atedinahalf6288 I thought I had replied but I was referring to the drywall contractors price… sorry about that he had 2 others helping him… but yeah, he did it all in a day with the other guys… not a lot of cuts so that’s also why
And where is the damp barrier? All the living moisture will go into the rockwool and get's the insulation factor down a lot. This looks like an insulation job they woud have done here 50 years ago.
How is compressed? It's just placed between studs as it normally is. In these types of videos, there is always that one odd comments seeking extra attention. Always!

250 sheets
$29/sheet labor
$13.20 / sheet material
5 days install
29 a sheet is crazy
It’s fair
Crazy as in expensive or cheap?

Idk where you live, but .6/sq-ft is a lot for hanging. Did that include tape and texture?

Whats the square footage?
That's the total flooring area divided by a unit of 12 inch times twelve inch.
Whomever installed the insulation has no clue what they are doing.
For fiberglass to be effective it cannot be compressed and cannot have gaps.
also isn't the faced side supposed to be toward living/conditioned areas, not away from it?
Fiberglass is also pretty useless for sound deadening

Yup, this is useless for sound deadening
What about tape/texture?
Included in that price
How much was the plumbing ?
It's going to be a great house.

Thank you for the video and the information, really appreciate the breakdown.
Glad it was helpful!
That batt job looks awful.
Mainly the ceiling, right? Doesn't really matter if it's between floors though.
@@rsmith02it was a waste of time and money. You need mineral wool for sound deadening
It helps a little, but not nearly enough for it to be worth it. It also won't make a bit of difference for HVAC.
@@veganpottertheveganyou can do not need wool for sound, it’s just better than fiberglass. Fiberglass is still good.
