Good stuff Cap, really enjoy this kind of content. I've got a flight arranged through Boultbee in a Spitfire and this video has added to the excitement :)
I like that when asked by Goering what he could give them to be more successful during the Battle of Britain, it was reported that their gruppenfurer said, “Du könntest uns Spitfires geben.” (You could give us spitfires).
We had some fun new toys to play with due to the newest update so why not show them off in a video :) glad everyone had fun and was fun to show off some of the capabilities of the MkXIV
Cudos to the mission maker it was a nice battle. Still amazes me how good this game looks esp at ground level. Wheat swaying, nice models and those little touches everywhere that brings the whole up a level. Some other newer games need to look at the good stuff here. Nice vid IL2 Reapers!
@43:35 I’m dead. He congratulates the dead pilots on good “Sudoku”. Sudoku is a Japanese puzzle game where as Seppaku is Japanese ritualistic Suicide. So you congratulated your dead teammates on an excellent game of number placement. Which was nice of you. Seeing how they’re dead and all.
How does one get the Spit Mk. XIV in the game? Do you have a reference list of all IL2 aircraft and what packages they come in, especially in the standalone (non-Steam) releases?
I know it's 2 years later, but the Mk XIV is a standalone package, and you do not have to buy any of the "Great Battles" expansions. On the store, you should just be able to buy the Mk XIV by itself, just like a few other planes
The griffin engines were really close to the same size externally. Changed around designs like magneto etc. The same idea as them putting merlins in everything they could put griffins on those same merlin frames. not necessarily swapping them out in the field but they didn't have to make all the designs from scratch again as the griffins outside size was the same.
Jeeze, SuperCap, how long are you going to fly that aircraft in an uncoordinated state? That ball was buried so deeply on the right side of the gauge I thought it was stuck there!
Realistically you want a pc with a quad core processor or better. A minimum of 16Gb RAM, SSD storage. It doesn't matter if it's a 2.5 inch or an M.2 . Probably 1Tb in capacity. It would be better if you had say a separate 250 - 500Gb ssd for Windows. The tough part is the GPU. Graphics cards are currently overpriced due to a general shortage, crypto miners and scalpers reselling at horrendously painful prices. You're probably best off looking at Cyberpower UK and seeing what you can get for your money. In a non covid world I would recommend building your own but the odds of getting a new gpu for a decent price is low. I have a new GPU, CPU and motherboard. Yet I can't use them. There's pretty much zero DDR5 In the UK. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Hi there, last time I played a “battle of Britain game” was the Amiga version in 1990 and safe to say it didn’t look like this…….! Can someone please explain to me what’s happening here please? Is this like a group mission? What’s the game and where can I buy/use it?! I’m not that old but I’ve never seen anything like this, a lot of the other ww2 plane games I’d come across over the years looked rubbish so I never bothered, but this looks amazing?!
Hi there thanks very much for your speedy reply, looks great! I’ll need to practice first obviously, is this a game you can also play yourself vs the computer as it were? Like a normal “game”? Thanks
I think busting all the aircraft up at the end spoils the enjoyment of watching your flying since it is like a BLACK HOLE with no memories of the learning and memories of your video"S I switch off to another channel just before you go silly and destructive ! Great video otherwise and nice experience with the Russian war Birds.Thankyou BE all Blessed.
@@grimreapers the canuk hurricane, loaded with incindiary rounds. or as I called it, the firestarter. It's in IL2. It was not as maneuverable as a spit but I find the hurricane to be a more stable gun platform.
The exhaust flames in this game bother me, its always two evenly spaced flashes from one pipe, then 2 more evenly spaced flashes from another pipe, repeat..... I'm a CGI artist who often makes game assets... I'm easily triggered ;)

I like the part when the air-raid siren started sounding after the bombs were dropped... 😁
Minor timing issues

After everyone took off, and Cap finished admiring all the spitfires and cut to him in a Yak, and I lost it that was the funniest shit ive ever seen.
It’s like watching old gun cam clips! Great job guys👍
During the Battle of Britain, the Soviets supplied the fuel... to the Luftwaffe. No way would the Soviets have allowed the UK any help.
A British team playing Battle of Britain. Too good❤️❤️
The 14 is a badass fighter - well-done boys!!!

What DLC do you have for the battle of britain ?
Hmmm? Never seen U guys fly those German bombers? Especially the bombers with the turrets?

Battle of Britain reenactment.

lols :)

It's a prob with pedals, hard to explain. Neutral notch not working so this keeps happening.
@@grimreapers I gotcha. Equipment failure, or in this case software failure, is a real thing.
Great fight lads! I wish we'd had the MkXIV in 1940, war would have been a lot shorter.
I couldn't sleep so I turned to Cap and the boys for entertainment. What could go wrong lol.
Hi Mark!
I want to get into dcs what type of PC I need and what is the price range?
Mine was £2500 but over-specced.

Hi. The game is called IL-2 Sturmovik. We do play it as a group and the details are on this page of our website grimreapers.net/il-2-sturmovik/

Good fun in the new spit...RB
History has just uploaded full Dogfight episodes on their YT channel. Cap if you haven’t seen Dogfights I highly recommend it.
I remember them :)
"Remember we do not all have No 14 Spitfires...". As you are wont to say, " That sounds like a YOU problem."😁😁😁😉
And you said it later on!😂
Hey Cap, how can I fly with you guys? Shitty pilot but fun to be around!
Those beautiful Spitfires with the hispanos rip the HE111's apart
Did you eat all my BEANS 🫘
That Stuka was like my ex girlfriend....would not go down.

When fighting Japanese planes or bi-planes I love taking the Spitfire Mk1 or the Hurricane with the 12 308's
12?!?!? wow

Hey SuperCap. Do you prefer tea with milk or without???😉
Not really a "true" re-enactment. Spitfire IX, and XIV? The former debuted in late 1942, and the latter, 1944.
