RailBlazer was opened in 2018 if that's what you meant, I thought I heard 2008 @ 12:25. Looking forward to your next video ☺️

Thanks for helping update the current state of CGA. I love that park so much and the events are amazing! Honestly the best in all of California. Dare I say it I like CGA events more then at Knott's. Im hoping they at least do fireworks this year for the 4th of July, the BBQ was delicious. Way better then Discovery Kingdom's drone show. Plus I absolutely love Railblazer and Flight Deck so much. Being im in NorCal it gave our family something so fun to do without having to stay a night in a hotel. This news gives me hope that maybe we could see something special for 2026. Leaving Winterfest at CGA on its last day I was crying man. Trying to understand why. Like you said its so popular. Pleanty of people go to make them profit for sure! I just prey we still get a few more good years from it. Perhaps they will even buy it back from the developer. After Covid, building some more office space isn't much needed anyway. There are pleanty of offices in Santa Clara and San Jose. Alot of people work from home, so let us please keep our amazing NorCal park we all love and cherish with so many memories at, and one of the last spots in California that still does fireworks as well. 🙏 Thanks for giving us all hope for a possible positive future for CGA

Thanks for the comment. I think CGA will be around for a long time. Stay tune for the next part, it’s my own thought, but could be good mews and maybe why the park will stay open.

I like this positive outlook! The news seemed pretty grim at first, but yeah there's definitely a possibility that the shorter season this year is for renovations. I still feel like it's a bad omen. My hope is that after Six Flags is forced out, Prologis goes to the city for zoning approval and they don't get it, which would force Prologis to look for a company to manage the park. Many people would be rooting for Herschend Family Entertainment, which runs Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, and others. Really hope the park stays!!

Thanks for your comment. I am pretty sure the city will not rezone the land. I also don’t think Six Flags will be force out. Look for parts 2 and 3 to know why (my own thoughts on this)

Heres an idea.. start a petition to save Great America everyone donates 5 bucks to buy the land back.. There are way too many people in the Bay that want to keep the park including myself..been going since i was 5 and im 40 now.

Its amazing for how badly the city has treated Great America over the years...that they finally realized it was a good thing for the city...and now want it to stay. I have a feeling they will not rezone the land and allow the park to stay in some way shape or form...
Still wonder what is going on with the whole Fresno area possible theme park...I have not heard anything in almost 2 years...but the mayor showed around several large investment firms about building an amusement park. Showed them 2 120+ acre plots of land, one closer to town and one a little further out. One of those investment firms was Six Flags before the merger and they were talking about actively relocating Discovery Kingdom, so the park would have more room, could build new animal exhibits and be in a larger population base with a lot less of the problems they get in Vallejo, being so close to Oakland.

I don’t think the city has mistreated CGA, from what I have heard. I know they were not happy when the land was sold. I have not heard about a park in Fresno. It could be that Discovery Kingdom could move there. I believe their contract is up 2027 and, from what I have heard, they will most likely not renew the contract.

Thank you for the video. I am planning to visit the park in June. I missed which dates the park will be closed. I would love to know before I book a flight and hotel. Thank you.

You’re welcome. Great America does not open until April 5th. If you go to their website, you can see the calendar for what days they are open. The link is also in the description of the video. Hope that helps.
