@@boomchacleKSP its aluminium that had proper testing done and based off of real life data, the angle is so extreme especially for HVAP round they tend to bounce so its not unexpected
I really don't want to be behind that armour, especially if multiple rounds hit in a short time. But the mentioned angle from the manual is not the only way of attacking or even the optimal angle to attack armoured vehicles. If you can, you go for the roof. If you can't do this, you attack from the sides, especially if you have to fly low. The A-10 is not a magical creature and at least its pilots know it.
They can sometimes but its very inefficient to do so and only can be done in some instances such as simulating a tank thats being shot at multiple times or by multiple tanks and or comparison videos

They call it a gun with wings on it, I call it a flying war crime just waiting to happen. There's nothing impressive about that flying tub. Here's a fun fact about the Warthog! The '10' in the name is the amount of friendlies that are risk of getting hit in a gun-run, because the pilot can't control their trigger finger, firing more rounds than Rambo did in his third movie, honestly it's whole existence is a joke, it was built in the wrong era. It's just as slow as a P-47, you can't climb because you'd be shot down the moment you popped up on radar, and there other aircraft that can fill the same role miles better, here I even made a list: F-4 Phantom, F-105 Thunderchief, F-111 Aardvark, F-16, F-18. I could keep going, but I think I've made my point clear. Go back to the dirt road you took off from, since you claim to be "built different." Give me a fucking break, what you really are is just annoying with that 30mm going off."
Even though im not a expert i can say the following: The A 10, unlike a lot of other fighters. Can take a lot of damage. It can survive multiple Hits by AA guns and even a rocket if lucky. The A 10 has a lot of flares making it very resistant against thermal missiles. The A 10 is very slow. However, this is not necessarly bad because it is able to react much faster when a attacked thanks to this. Furthermore the A 10 just has legend Status what makes it a feared danger when the enemy heares its gun, its the same Effekt with the Ju 87. So no, the Warthog has its pros and cons. Not only cons as you say
The scimitar is cool but I don’t understand why it has tracks as a recon vehicle. I feel like having wheels would increase speed and decrease maintenance time
There were 2 recon vehicles Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Trackef ( Scorpion/Scimitar) and CVR Wheeled Fox. Pros and cons for both. Ground pressure of CVRT is lower than a man so Scimitar can go where men on foot can’t
@@jyralnadreth4442 yeah much better off which tracked vehicles in rough terrain. As we saw with Afghanistan, tracked vehicles are better than wheeled APCs when in rough terrain. Wheeled vehicles are superior in grasslands and deserts, relatively flat terrain where their superior ground pressure stats matter
But also not all wheeled vehicles have better ground pressure. 6x6 or 8x8 will, but ones with only 4 wheels suffer in basically all terrain(think Max Pro or HMMV) where their high weight makes them suffer all around off of paved roads.
Surprised the armor held up so well, though having multiple rounds impact the same plate would be... unfortunate.

Could you simulate the frontal upper armour of the TAM against 20, 30 or 40mm AP round?
Good video :)
The Scimitar has an armor of 12.7 mm not 35mm so the shell would have passed through and not ricocheted.
its 25mm we just wrote it wrong, nowhere on the scimitar it has 12.7mm
The round also would not have impacted at 79.5° lol, these guys just have no clue what they are doing lol
