Thanks for watching, y’all. Next video will be out at the end of the month and it might just be a follow up to one of my most popular videos I’ve ever made.
I just hope the sequel doesn't break up another happy home. "You're sexually attracted to Jam. That's why dad left". - I still have nightmares about her walking out with that belt. 🤦♂
Nice! One tip if you are having trouble getting a smooth pan with the tripod (more common with cheaper models that don't have fluid joints) - pull on the handle using a rubber band instead of placing your hand directly on it - this smooths out any unevenness that you might accidentally introduce by hand.
Dude... one of the best video/tutorials eveer. Seriously, the narration, the clear explanation, the footage, the music 👌 Great job man, really well done. I'll definitely try this and use it in the future.
First off I wanted to say that your videos never fail to amaze me, they're such a unique flavor in this vast space of TH-cam. And secondly, what microphone do you use?
Thank you! I use literally one of the cheapest XLR mics you can buy, the Audio-Technica ATR2100XUSB. Been using it for three years now and it still rocks. You really don't need a $500+ mic if you don't have the money. Just something that's solid and isn't your internal camera mic. And just work on your mic etiquette. Highly recommend Audio-Technica, too :)
@@paul_et I second all of that. I've been using an AT2020 for close to a decade now together with an equally dirt cheap Behringer Xenyx Q802USB mixer and they've served me extremely well.
I’ve been doing this couple times for my projects, that’s amazing technique. If you want to sell gravity effect even more you can try to play with small rotation animation which makes the movement even more realistic. Of course you have to keep in mind perspective change, but it usually works! Keep up the good work with these videos Paul! ❤
Your editing on this video is phenomenal and you go straight to the point. Thank you too for this simple yet very dope trick. Like you said it literally looks better than real slo mo xD
its prolly even more convincing if you moved the item up and down while rotating it as well its looks kinda funky now because the Y angle doesn't change
works well for a small object. why not just stretch the clip in the timeline, you can pull 10 seconds to 40 seconds with interpolation and still have smooth motion, (at 30fps) particularly if you downscale. If you morph the frames you'll get 120 seconds from the 10, so you get max 1:12 expansion before it starts falling apart. Shoot at 60fps and you'll double the ratio, i.e. 10 seconds becomes 4 minutes tops. I've done a few 1:20, which is enough to practically stop the motion and turn the audio into something else completely.
I worked on a film years ago and we used to attach a rubber band to the camera handle and let that do the pulling. As you pull, it does the work. Was always super smooth :)
It's a shame you can't post gifs in the comments on youtube.... *insert shia labeouf standing ovation gif. So simple. you don't even notice there's no parallax using a longer lens on the shot. awesome!
dude, what the actual fuck is this editing in your video... This is the first time I came across your chanel. And man... This is beatiful, really is. Keep the good work, is the best edditing on YT that I've seen in years. Congrats!!!!
Hey kids today we learn how to fold a paper plane... ...You wont need more than those thing: Hands Paper Plutonium Frodos ring 1lb antimatter Aaand 10years of your lifetime So lets get started!!🤗
Jokes aside....it was a good video with nice editing! Just me who doesnt have a professional camera, editing software (and the skills you need), a greenscreen and so on 😂😁
Can you come up with a course where you teach everything about editing and if that's not possible then can you recommend any course which was helpful to you?
Optical Flow attempts to create frames that aren't actually there by referencing the frame before and after. Frame Sampling just uses the frames from the clip. Really, it shouldn't make too much of a difference in this effect as the clip is in 30fps and the sequence is 24fps but I just didn't want premiere potentially messing with the shots without me knowing.
Thanks for watching, y’all. Next video will be out at the end of the month and it might just be a follow up to one of my most popular videos I’ve ever made.
pls be a netflix style doco sequel 🙏
oh sweet jesus the world isn't ready for that.
cant wait for that
Can't wait

Ah yes. The classic example of a low pass filter.
Plus lots of WD40!

I don't do anything related to video...but man...how do I enjoy to learn from each of your videos!
its prolly even more convincing if you moved the item up and down while rotating it as well
its looks kinda funky now because the Y angle doesn't change
The technology is known, but the idea is absent... Thank you very much... You always make ideas bright
Great video, thumbnail itself for this upload deserves an award. Well done mate, well done.
Excellent craftsmanship as always! Also Paul, i wanted to pop in and mention your TOAST video greatly inspired the intro in my most recent video
One of the best tutorials I have seen on youtube. Stunning!
Rendering with optical flow is amazing as well, too blurry for most use cases though.
“How to fake slow mo” “just turn it slow” amazing video
Genius. I legit did not think of just animating it

"THIS is a slo-mo shot!"
🤠
chuck on a lens flare was my favorite part
Love how you edited this, also super helpful info! 🎥
This is awesome. I like that you don't stretch out the video.
Sheeesh, I've never awed and smiled in three minutes as much as now!
谢谢你的教学,我原以为是什么超级慢动作的插件这么好,没想到竟然是实拍的,不得不说,向上抛出的运动曲线做的真的很真实
The world NEEDS you
I worked on a film years ago and we used to attach a rubber band to the camera handle and let that do the pulling. As you pull, it does the work. Was always super smooth :)
just add small piece of greenscreen material between the tripod and object that cover tripod. it will help to separate object to background easily.
Love that its a G7, I have had one of those since high school. Recently I got a Blackmagic 2.5k.
Wow, much easier and very different than what I expected
This editing is just 👌 You got a sub
It's a shame you can't post gifs in the comments on youtube.... *insert shia labeouf standing ovation gif.
So simple. you don't even notice there's no parallax using a longer lens on the shot. awesome!
IN-CRE-DI-BLE! WOW WOW WOW WOW! So simply but so wonderfull effect! Thank you so much!
SHORT HELP-FUL TIP!
Thanks for sharing, and for keeping it short!
I’m shooting a product commercial for a huge uni assignment so this video could not have come at a better time
Before watching the video I thought you are gonna interpolate the low fps video via AI or something but it turned out to be an actual guide, cool

Amazing explanation! Short, clear and helpful! Thankyou.

That was so cool.
The edition of this video itself is so cool 🔥

Wow that's so insightful! Love it!
Earned my sub. INCREDIBLE information. And in LESS THAN 3 MINUTES. Bravo sir!
Amazing result!
What an amazing tutorial. Quick and very to the point
I did NOT expect that. Pure genious
this was simple but a great tip, i've done something similar on a turntable but never tried it with a tripod. time to experiment.

Hey kids today we learn how to fold a paper plane...
...You wont need more than those thing:
Hands
Paper
Plutonium
Frodos ring
1lb antimatter
Aaand
10years of your lifetime
So lets get started!!🤗
Jokes aside....it was a good video with nice editing! Just me who doesnt have a professional camera, editing software (and the skills you need), a greenscreen and so on 😂😁
Man, this is the highest quality production on TY, no joke. Looking forward to the next video
literally i love you!
This is just so awesome!
Actually brilliant
With the right software you can fake super slow-motion without any camera.
That’s a good one, love it!
Using the rotation to hide the missing perspective shift from the up/down motion? Nice.
might not gonna use it because the long editing and i still got slow mo covered in my camera. but IT'S FUN to watch XD
Thank you!
SO CREATIVE
This was sooooo good!
Sweet technique. I will have to try this
you have some nice editing skill! great video😊
as always thanks for this one too!!!!
such a neat trick!
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing 😊
THANK YOU
similar tech ique used for Quicksilver slowmotion scene
Awesome video!
great tutorial!! Thank you !
Can you come up with a course where you teach everything about editing and if that's not possible then can you recommend any course which was helpful to you?
Concise but useful, thanks
Nice one, but why you're not using Optical flow instead of Frame sampling?

Great Video
Thanks, do more of Gawx video breakdowns too,:)
