up to now, that Sansa - Jon reunion gets me to tear up everytime. Sansa is arguably the only Stark child not close/cordial with Jon, so for them to find each other now after everything thats happened to both of them, and the utter relief and joy of it? Perfect!!!

Yeah, we saw the bit of early puberty stroppy, bratty Sansa at the start of the show (which annoyingly lots of people just used as the blue-print for her entire personality rather than realising that this was just a girl brought up in privledge who was now hitting puberty and so was idiotic and bitchy to her family)...however one thing they didn't show, which we know in the books, is that her mum's dislike of Jon had clearly rubbed off on her, and the whole thing of him being the bastard brother, who doesn't fit in with her ideal "perfect" life she unrealistically imagined in her early teens made her a bit snobbish and rude towards him.
Because if they'd shown her acting like that towards him on the show in season 1 it would make this season 6 moment even more impactful. Because, grown-up and mature as she is now...even as soon as she heard about him still being about and in a position of power from Ramsey that time she knew she had to reach him. He was her brother and that's all that matters now. Having experienced what truly horrible people there are in the world she was no longer a Jon Snob lol.
@@sarahjamieson5552 yeah they didn't show her being mean to him or anything, however we do see him have scenes with nearly every other Stark child except her and maybe Rickon, idr if he had a scene with him. Either way, we see that he has a loving and brotherly relationship with Rob, Arya, and Bran, but not Sansa (and Rickon?) so even for those that didn't read the books, it at least still had some similar impact
Tormund flirting with Brienne is kind of wholesome. I love that he has a crush on her because she’s a strong woman. Finally someone recognizes her in all her glory ✨

I love this reunion so much! Sansa and Jon didn’t interact much in S1, the last time they saw each other, but she sees him now as her brother and a safe place- FINALLY, after years and years of trauma. It’s such a heartwarming thing to happen on this relentlessly heartbreaking show.

This reunion was everything! And obsessed with your rant about sansa! You get it! Sansa over laying down and just dealing with the hand she has been dealt, she’s like fuck that. She’s ready for the cards to start falling in their favors! I feel like I rarely see as much sansa love, and so your fierce love for her is so refreshing! She’s my favorite.

Honestly, I'm gonna be controversial and say the sparrows are the only group of ppl who bring the royals to justice and punish them for their war crimes. The royals kill ppl left and right and force them to live in poverty so like...I'm not mad, arrest them and bring them to trial. But imprisoning Lorys for being gay and Marge for knowing that and lying about it is gross which is why I still don't like the sparrows. But I also support their anti-royal pursuits. 💅

The reunion between Jon and Sansa got everyone. We never thought watching Game of Thrones for the first time that once the Stark family separated it would take 6 seasons for there to be a reunion. It was so worth it. I cried so much when they saw each other and hugged. They both have been through so much, that reunion is all we needed and wanted. Can't wait for the next set of episodes.
They are very good -- they're Kingsguard. Also, to clarify, when Bran says he heard the story a thousand times, it wasn't from Ned. It was other people telling the story; Ned never spoke of it, for good reason.

27:19 the thing is, i think, their traumas are different in nature, which makes their thought on "taking back winterfel" different. Sansa's trauma was mostly her being a victim of disgusting men and vicious plans. So, to her, stabby stabby swordfighting is nothing. Jon's trauma is ALL stabby stabby swordfighting. Like, Sansa has the x1000 of the same trauma of SA victims. Jon the x100 trauma of war vets. Which is why to him, it's terrifying and triggering the idea of one more battle, while to Sansa it is very easy to say yes to if it means finally peace afterwards. neither of their traumas should be downplayed.

Bad for Oli he was just a dumb kid. Rob started a whole war because they killed his dad. Olí had the man who he thought (in a child mind) let the people who killed his parents in at his reach. Not saying he was right but he was persuaded in a direction. Takings advantage of his grief.
And here the Sansa writing for now on is awful. The writers don't know how to make women powerful and tough without making them unlikable, stupid or cruel. Also, it's so easy to try to tell someone to go fight and put his life at risk when she's not going to be at the batterfield.

I KNEW IT! I was away for my second anniversary, but I just felt it in my bones, a new GoT Brad upload!!! ✨SICKENINGGGG✨
The thing is also that in the show they present Daenerys as fire proof, but in the book Targaryens weren't fire proof. They just had way more tolerance for heat than a regular person. In fact there's a story within their universe (not a spoiler) of how one teenage Targaryen girl disappeared on the back of a dragon and then returned months later sick, she was cooking from the inside, her skin was scaly like dragon's and there was smoke coming out of her, nobody could touch her cuz she was too hot, and that was going on for a couple of days until she gave birth to a scaly non-human creature (it's implied she might have give birth to half-human half-dragon), her eyes exploded from intense heat from the inside and she died. The fact she didn't die immediately is saying how much more fire proof Targs are, but they can die from fire.
Compare this to regular humans like us, if we start cooking from the inside (like if we're too close to a volcanic eruption for example) we die immediately, we won't even feel it or see it coming.
That’s not really an accurate telling of Aerea Targaryen’s story. You are correct that when Balerion brought her back she was almost too hot to touch and on the brink of death. But her ordeal back in King’s Landing only lasted for hours, not days. When the maesters put her in an ice water bath, it immediately killed her by stopping her heart. She didn’t technically give birth to anything, as soon as they put her in the ice bath *dozens* of terrifying worm like creatures the book only vaguely described burst thru her skin all over her body. Sorry to be a little pedantic but it’s one of my favorite sections from Fire & Blood and i’ve listened to it over 100 times so i know the story pretty well. But it’s a great point that Targaryens are not fireproof in the books and more than one of them has died by fire/wildfire

Love seeing Tormund trying to "court" Brienne. Such great looks they give each other. So funny. Even after all these years seeing Sansa and Jon reunite still makes me tear up. This is, hands down, my favorite season of all.. The only complaint that was had by all was that these last few seasons were SOOO dark they were hard, at times, to see... Could have definitely used the Lord of the light!! 😏

It is interesting because since watching the show, I have read think pieces and analyses by poc that the tone of the Danaerys storyline does take on some triggering white colonizer mindset framing, and obviously it leads us there so this is no comment on Brad or anyone (including me) who roots against what are framed as foreign outdated barbaric traditions... but it is something interesting to maybe take into account knowing how the show ends, and the ways they writers mishandled things. Either way it's been interesting rewatching alongside brad keeping that perspective in mind. :\
