- THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL! It is more of a daily personal diary, or perhaps a vlog, centered around the building of plastic model ships. Don’t be surprised when I unexpectedly, but usually just momentarily, get into something completely unrelated. I was big into building models years ago. Apparently I’m trying to bring back “the good old days” by building plastic model ships. Feel free to learn from my mistakes while I muddle through this.

Ron, you’re doing a great job, taking your time is the best approach, but you know that😊. You nearly there😊 catch you tomorrow and happy modelling. 😊
Thanks Paul 👍
Good grief! What a magnificent build, Ron 👍 This has been a joy to follow and seeing the modules all in place is really something. Superb!
Thanks Mark! 👍
Great video tonight Ron. We can’t believe it’s almost finished. Like a snap of the fingers and we’ll be on the next project. Thanks for the shout out. Hope you enjoy the audio book. Take care n see you tomorrow.
See you tomorrow! 👍
Hey Ron, real good video tonight, see you tomorrow. 👍👍👍👍
Hi Ron, Great show today. I haven't had a land line for at least 10 years. I don't miss it a bit. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Good to hear from you Jeff! 👍
Excellent episode! Getting so close I can almost hear the command to "Dive,Dive,Dive"!! See you tomorrow Ron.
You'll be able to hear those orders soon enough! 🤞
Looking good Ron, getting closer to the finish. See you tomorow and pizza day😊
Pizza Day! 🍕🤤
Great video Ron. Dottie was asking to comne sit on my lap to see Missie.. I think she listens out for the "How much is that doggie in the window tune". I cannot belive those ships boats have not arrived yet?
Our dog piper came running down tha hall tonight when the tune came on. She definitely knows the song. Heard it a thousand times.
Hi Nigel
When Canada Post went on strike late last year it really through our postal system for a loop. I just got a Christmas card delivered the day before yesterday that had been sent about two months earlier. They must have mail stockpiled somewhere that they're trying to get sorted out. Of course we'll never know the truth. All we can do is go by what's actually happening. So I'm not surprised that your ship's boats are taking a little longer than expected, but I'm sure they will arrive eventually. 🤞
Hi Ron, I believe those sanding papers have a self adhesive backing so they can be used with the manufacturers sanding block or anything you wish to stick them to such as a popsicle stick
Good to know, thanks Dave. 👍
Ron we received 3.1 inches of snow today. We still use a landline but the signal goes out through our cable/internet line instead of the old phone line.
My landline is via the cable too.
You’re making fabulous progress! A real masterpiece. Can’t wait for the final reveal!
What’s the next project?
Re: *"What’s the next project?"* Trumpeter's 1/200 scale USS Enterprise 🤞
Looking good Ron .So the clear side for the sub is on one side but the conning tower clear side is on the other side yeh.? Martin from down under.
That's the way it works Martin! 👍
You could paint the base to look like seaweed, and then leave it on the bottom of the figure.
Got rid of my landline a number of years ago when they jacked up the monthly rate and put in a battery-powered box "that works when the power goes out" Except I used a phone that was a base station and a cordless handset, and when the power went out the base station went dead. And since the phone company wanted $40 for a new battery and refused to remove it even though it was useless, I decided to dump the landline. A cell phone lets you call from on the road or at home, and I can only talk on one phone at a time anyway.
Good luck with the phone situation.
👍
Great episode again Ron. The U Boat really looks good. See you on Pizza Day! 🍕👍🙂
Thanks, see you then! 👍
The base on the figure can be gently sanded off. Use a circular motion.
🤞
Hi Ron, have you concided not permentanly glueing the side on while still displaying the boat? Maybe some book repairers clear adhesive tape. That way, if there is an issue with the LEDs, you may be able to fix it. Dave Porter, London
Thanks for the suggestion, but too late now!👍
Still gotta make the case Ron
👍
Hi Ron beep beep lol every time I sing (roadrunner, if he catches you you’re threw) 😊😊😊😊! Make a jig To hold the boat nose to tail , make press , lol you get the idea Ron , I say this because I know you are thinking about it 😊😊😊😊😊😊see you tomorrow

Still watching to this day 😝
Hi Ron, about the figure ..1/200 scale. i think the sub is 1/48 sale ...might be abit small
When I realized I had made a mistake by saying 1/200 scale it was too late to change it. I'll make a retraction tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion. I meant to say 1/48 scale. Thanks for pointing this out. 👍
@@roncalverley all good Ron ....enjoying the videos👍
