I'm a practicing sea witch for the past 11 years and it's a very fullfilling path. It's been a wonderful journey with Poseidon discovering myself with the Sea.
I'm still trying to figure out what kind of Witch I am and I'm highly attracted to the element ocean and air, I feel happy at beaches and collect seashells and seaglass. This helped a lot, thank you!
**P.S: By the way! Although I can consider myself a sea witch in training, only the sea calls me, not the water element in general (rivers, lakes, etc). I think there is misinformation that a sea witch is the same as a water witch, and it is not; a sea witch works with the elements of the sea, the coast, the beach, etc., but a water witch works with the element of water, whether it comes from the sea or a stream. It is important to differentiate. I really appreciate you talking about this topic, because for those who are just starting out it is great to know at least where to start. In my case from a very young age, I have always felt a very special connection with the sea and that is why a part of me wants and needs to be a sea witch. But that doesn't mean that you can't combine it with another type of witchcraft. For example, I consider myself an eclectic witch, with parts of a green witch and a sea witch. And I've never been a Wiccan witch. It is true that there is almost no information about the practices of a sea witch and at first it is difficult to start if you do not know at least something basic about it (as is my case), but as she said, if the sea calls you, go ahead, but know that you can be just a sea witch or combine it with other practices. It depends on each person.
Thank you for watching and the kind words! I absolutely agree that it really depends on the person. I loved that you shared your perspective here as well!! I learned after making the vlog of course that a water witch and a sea witch are not essentially the same…but I learned that from an actual sea witch so I’m so happy to see those who are practicing the crafts are speaking up! I found it so hard to find materials on it for sure and I’m continuing to read more in just different cultures and how they perceive different types of witches and just magical beings in general. This is a learning video after all. I definitely fall into more of an eclectic category as well and don’t really claim myself as a witch bc there’s so much more to many of the crafts that I can’t say that I am or do. I follow a different type of journey but whatever resonates with me , I tend to embrace it and it includes many different factors. So I’m with ya there 😉
It’s nice that you touched on this topic as an open invitation for those interested to learn more and to know this is an option to explore if one is drawn to this element in their own personal practice, but it would be nice to find that when those who speak of it be more informed themselves. However this is probably attributed to the fact that it’s the lesser known types of witches out there. Wicca is actually more of a newer type of witch, so to say that sea witches are kind of like those that are Wiccan and derived from that, is a bit of a stretch/being a bit uneducated about the topic. Sea witches have been around a LOT longer than that, but may not have known they were or specifically called themselves a water/sea witch, dating back many centuries before Wicca was established. Pagan should be a better term to use here. This seems like one of the lesser known about witches out there and that’s a bit disappointing since there’s not a whole lot of information out there on them or a more narrowed down focus to learn those ways. There’s probably only like 3 or so good books out there on the market (sadly, all relatively new) to learn specifically about them and other than that, the info online is all the same talking about seashells, sea water/water and seaweed to use in their magic if they should so choose.
I absolutely agree and I definitely try to make it clear that I am not a practicing sea witch or an expert for that matter. This info was based on the available resources I personally had and found. You're correct, it would be wonderful to see better sources and such because it was difficult to find some. However, hopefully this will drive people to explore the subject further. I know I'm personally reading a lot more lore on various subjects such as these so hopefully others will as well.
Hello! Im new to all of this witchy stuff! So i did my research and came across different types of witches and was instantly drawn to the sea witches and would like to practice it! But i dont know where to start, can you help me?
Hello!!! I would maybe find a FB group online where you’ll meet people who practice it or go to your local holistic shop or witchy shop which may have more info for ya! I personally don’t practice the craft but I have a strong affinity for the water. I just listen to what my spiritual team informs me of and reach out and learn what I can. Sea Witches are different than Water witches just an FYI. My video is a little incorrect about that and I was corrected by a Sea Witch 😅
This video was very informative so first thank you. I just have a question idk if you will answer but when you said to be chosen by water. Did you mean like initiated or just really drawn to incorporate the ocean and its elements into your craft. For a while I struggled bc I am a leo and always draw to water but for some reason I suppressed it bc leo is strongly associate with fire. However, I could never get the ocean out of my head, not just for looks, but spiritually. How the ocean makes me feel, how I relate to the ocean, and just a feeling of security. I have been to the beach where I see the ocean to be respected than for entertainment. Although I connect to the ocean, I am what is called "land-bound" or "land-locked," and still connect strongly to the sea than any other element. Please get back to me if you can. Thank you.
Thank you so much hun for the acknowledgment! I appreciate that you learned so much from this as did I. So when it comes to being drawn to the water, non-sea witch related, that could be also your astrological placements. If your moon sign, ascending, or Venus is in a water placement, like Pisces for example, this can also be the reason why you're strongly attracted and respect the water and ocean as an element. Now in terms of the Sea-witch element, that would be something your spirit guides and higher self can answer since they know what you're capable of. I would try to meditate and ask them and write out what answer you receive. To my understanding, it's similar to the fairy witch where you have to ask the elementals and deities of the Sea and gain their approval as well but I'm not 100 percent. Your guides may also steer you to connecting with these deities which is why I recommend connecting with your spirit guides and higher self first.
Thank You so much for this video. I will need to watch it again and take notes. I want to add to the post about being a different astrology sign, but attracted to water. I am a Aries. I thought about matching solar witchcraft to my astrological sign. The more I went to studying on solar witchcraft, the more I felt a pull toward the water. I have been pulled to be near a body of water all my life. Only with the emergence of sea witches, did I realize my witchcraft calling as a sea witch. I would second Luna’s suggestion to meditate by a body of water. If you cannot find a lake, river or stream, give the bath tub a try. My most peaceful and relaxing parts of the day, are when I sit in a tub of water, and follow the pattern of my breath. If the sea witch calling is for you, they will find you.
Hey! So this a more general question but one that has been on my mind since I’ve started my craft not so long ago. Sorry if this is phrased weird but how do LOA and witchcraft tie into each other? For instance if I use LOA techniques to get what I want, is there a point to me practicing witchcraft, or is witchcraft more than essentially manifesting through spells? Thank you!
Wonderful question! So I am not a practicing witch so I hope others who see this comment and are can chime in to better answer. However, I did reach out to a friend who is one and her answer was this: "I believe it’s more manifestation through spells. Like a really strong prayer. Law of attraction you have to do work to attract the abundance. Like you want to have a savings or “more” extra cash. You have to do the work (saving- like not eating out) for the law of attraction/abundance to work." For me personally, I practice LOA all of the time and sometimes will incorporate rituals and find it helps for sure! Full Moon rituals are an example. Practicing the craft can only enhance your knowledge which I never think is a bad thing :)
Think of LOA as the same as a spell. You are willing the universe (or whatever you wish to call it) to answer your wishes only because you have willed it so. There is nothing more to do except to believe in it being so. The thing about LOA and what those who teach it (as in from The Secret) seemed to have left out is that it is only one of the laws of 12 laws of the universe. What else comes from the LOA that was left out is that while you don’t have to worry about the “how” you should jump on any inspired actions the universe throws your way in order to help manifest your desires. It could be an idea that pops up in your head to all of a sudden buy a lottery ticket when you wouldn’t usually if your wish is to become a millionaire or to decide spur of the moment to take a class that you see on a flier that comes in the mail that you’ve never gotten before on whatever it is that you’re interested in doing to get you one step closer to your desires. I’m a firm believer that when you try to push things like “oh, I can’t spend money on x,y, & z this month because I’m saving up to earn a,b &c.” in order to get you closer to your desires actually hinders that LOA process because in the back of your mind all you’re thinking is the lack and forcing the ‘how’ and that’s not how LOA really works. I’m not saying don’t work towards your desires, but forcing the how when that is the universes job to figure that part out doesn’t help it along. If you have a lack or ‘I don’t have it yet” mentality, then you’re always going to have that because that is really what you’re manifesting which is just reaffirming that you don’t have it. So it may be easier to think of LOA more like a prayer. When you pray asking for something, you just have faith that it will work itself out as it should and put it into god’s hands, so to speak. The LOA is putting it into the universe’s hands in the same way. Spells are the same thing, they’re all pretty much the same, just with different labels. Your spell wills it so and you’re not left wondering if it will work because it just does (or should) and it uses other things to help that along such as the right time of the moon cycle and vetting things that are known to draw the right kind of energy your way to help it along (like crystals and certain herbs Etc). The only difference here is with LOA is that you have to jump on that inspired action that comes your way to do so. This same thing may even happen in spells and prayers as well, so don’t knock that either! For the LOA, or any of these, it helps to have a mindset of gratitude and abundance which you can’t really have that when you’re pinching pennies to get what you want. I have also seen those who are not 100% in the always happy-go-lucky mindset (depressed) all the time still get what they want because they’re either reaffirming how they feel on a not-so positive level (which I don’t recommend if it can be helped) (like saying things like “why do I always feel so bad-and stuck in that grind-which is still reaffirming it into the universe even if on a ‘negative’ level OR they’re doing things such as saying affirmations such as “I always get what I want not matter how I feel!” bypassing the need to constantly be in a happy mood to get what they want. Of course, it’s always better to feel better if and when we can help it and for those who don’t understand that even how we feel can be manifested in a more positive light if we should so choose, they can still figure out a way that works best for them. But essentially LOA, spells and prayer all work in the same way. There are some witches that don’t believe in the LOA (just as those who may believe in prayer scoff at things like LOA-because they’re usually lined up in more church/Bible based beliefs), yet do spells and then there some that may not realize that it’s pretty much all on the same level. Learn more about it all and do/believe whatever feels right to you. That’s the best part about being a witch; if something doesn’t sit quite right with you, leave it and move on until you find something else that does! There’s no right/wrong answer here, only what’s right/wrong to you!
I want to be a lake witch but I don’t have real sea shells in the lake I live at and the sea shells means different things to include in a potion which is making me think that I can’t be a lake witch :(((
I always say in situations like this when you want to bring an offer to whatever energy you want to work with, is to speak to them and relay what you do have. I know I don't always have seashells bc I live far from the ocean so I meditate and let them know, I would love to show this as a token of my gratitude. Sometimes it's rocks, gemstones or even flowers. That's just me, I'm not a Lake or Water Witch by practice so I can't fully speak on their behalf.
There are other kinds of witches out there like green witches that don’t live near that type of surrounding, such as in the city. It’s not about your location if you still feel drawn to to that kind of place/element. I live 2 blocks from a river that leads to the ocean which is about 14 miles away and I still can’t manage to find time to get to the water, essentially the beach and still associate myself as being a sea witch because all of the signs point me towards that path. Even if I lived smack dab in the middle of the country with no water around me, I would still probably feel the same about that. I listen to ocean waves on YT videos to help me fall asleep at night. Half my home is decked out in ocean colors and beach themes. When I am able to be at the sea or even able take in a bath, I feel at home and it’s almost as if it calls me when I can’t. My favorite animal is a sea turtle and love every thing about them and sea creatures fascinate me! It’s my dream to buy a boat and just sail away on the ocean and be there everyday. Now, I may live closer to the sea than you live to a lake, but understand that it’s not about where you are or that there are any ‘musts’ in witchcraft! Only what feels right for you. If you feel called to be a lake witch, then just declare it so and bring as much of that into your life as what you feel necessary for you in ways that work for you! Also, as far as potions go, that’s the fun part about this is that if you don’t have one particular item that is ‘required’ it can be substituted for something else that you do have or feel more drawn to. It’s not about the physical items you have but the intentions behind your potions that matter more, so remember that the magic is in YOU, not necessarily from those things. Conjuring up potions is just added fun to that process, but never a must or a ‘have to’ do it in a certain way to make your intentions be set out into the universe! Hope that helps!
Hi!! So I'm not a practicing witch however, depending on what you'd prefer to practice, one thing that I always recommend when trying to find your path is to first and foremost, ask your guides and intuition. You can ask what you'd like, and then pay attention to the synchronicities. Whenever I personally do this about anything, the answers come in force. It's amazing. You just have to pay attention ;) Also groups I know exist but this technique helps you narrow down which groups will be of most benefit. Hopefully others here may be able to assist as well.
@@santanamoreno2636 I always say to follow what your heart and guides tell you. Only you would really know. Something like this requires someone who is ready and not all witchcrafts welcome people in. This is especially true for say the Sea Witches and Fairy Witches where it is actually not really the person’s decision. I do know that the Wiccan community is a very welcoming and beautiful community. Try searching for groups like that maybe on FB? You may meet someone that can guide you further ☺️
Thank you so much for the support! I appreciate it! I hope to do different vids in the future about the types of witches out there or at least some interesting topics like the Mermaids. I'm not an expert bc I don't practice the crafts, if anything I'm probably eclectic, but I always intended to capture the beauty of the crafts, bc they ultimately can be a beautiful practice and they're very fascinating to me!

Conjuring up potions is just added fun to that process, but never a must or a ‘have to’ do it in a certain way to make your intentions be set out into the universe! Hope that helps!
Hi iam baby witch look for anyone who can help me
Cool would you know we're I should go???? Or do you know know of any witch's that can help me
@@santanamoreno2636 I always say to follow what your heart and guides tell you.
When I read that you won't be discussing negative Magick, I immediately subscribed! Just unsubscribed to about a dozen Witchy channels...☄️
@@LunaAwaken You did...so sweet; good luck with your channel! 🍀
