Your coverage of the loss of these individuals is thorough and very respectful of them as individuals. Not many other TH-cam channels do that well. For that reason, I've subscribed to your channel.

I have heard many of these stories on other channels, but none have gone as in depth about the person and their life as you have. It must be very heart warming to the family the way you tell the stories of these missing people and give a little background into their lives. It is so sad that the families have never gotten any closure as to what happened to their loved ones. Thanks for keeping these people in the media and remembering their lives.

I agree. Personally, if that was my husband, family member, or even just a friend out there missing, I would take ANY possible lead. Granted, the psychic was wrong, but the dowsing guy was pretty close it sounds like. If I didn't find them, at least I'd know I had tried every possible lead or clue. That would be the only way I could ever rest easy again, if I knew I had tried everything possible, no matter how crazy or improbable it sounds.

Todd, was shot by his lying travel companion, in my opinion, his boots were taken by the same person. He was not found where its reported he was last seen, because the liar didn't want him found. He was found in the last place he drew breath. I hope karma caught up with the frenemy who left him there.

Denis’s story shows that Karen’s were alive and well even in the 60s. Imagine going to the most visited NP, coming across a “rough looking man”, and getting concerned enough to report him to the rangers. “Ranger, I don’t understand how other people are allowed to visit when I’m visiting with my 9 kids and Dodge Caravan”

Just found this channel. Very well done with the stories. As others have mentioned, these have been covered on various other channels, but it is always great to get other takes/approaches to them. That Dennis Martin case will never stop making me angry when I hear it, though; 'hey, you're 6, but your shirt is red, go wander off by yourself through the woods'... I guess people parented differently back in the day.

The national parks around the world are creepy to begin with. There are ..portals.. in the "woodland" areas around the world and this is how, especially the children, "disappear" - - without a trace - - . So many have disappeared without a trace because once a person gets into the portal, it cannot be traceable.

Yeah if it's the same story. He didn't shoot his parents he attacked them in their sleep with a ax n his mother did tell first responders it was her son. But he was supposedly miles away in college. They investigated his alibi. No students could put him at school or sleeping in the lounge like he said. They found out that he could pull this off. The distant drive n the act. All in the window of time. A neighbor put his yellow jeep in his parents driveway. The am hours of the attack. His poor mother's confession was just not concrete n she walked into the courthouse with him. She did everything she could. He was found guilty also the father's bloody footprints showed he must've proceeded with his normal routine. After the attack. It was strange but speculation. Can't remember his name. But yeah. I remember his yellow jeep. AGin if this is the same story??

I think Kenny V. seemed like such a likable Fella..😀 I've watched quite alot of coverage on him,but most people just focus on his disappearance. I've seen clips of his TH-cam videos..and he was so quirky. He was an inventor. He found things in the desert, and turned them into things to decorate his entire house. He needed to sell his home..however,he loved it so much, and kinna didn't want to part with it. So he came up with this idea,to sell his house AND he came along with it..😆 if you bought his house,ya got him too(however that would work out)Lol

I wonder why people go out into potentially hazardous areas without taking proper equipment with
them, which might save their lives. Don't they consider what their families will suffer if they get lost,
and how many others will put their own lives at risk in order to find them? Also, there are some
individuals out there who are downright sadistic. (It made me sick to hear about the skinned dog!
Such individuals will start on poor, helpless creatures and then go onto doing the same to humans).
May those who perished rest in peace, and many thanks to all the good people who spend so many
hours and face danger in order to locate them! I wish peace of mind to the families.

Why on Earth would Douglas decide along with the other kids it would be fun to send the youngest alone to create a scare for the adults just for kicks? Kenny and the M cave happened pretty close to where I live. Another strange place no one ever talks about is Kirtland AFB up towards Albuquerque NM. It's got miles and miles of underground tunnels as well as a giant faraday cage. The whole place is mysterious. Had to do some joint training there in 2019 and it was a big base but you never really saw anyone around. The buildings had signs but very little information about what the purpose was. If you've spent time in the military, you know that most units have their info posted on the signs around the base but not here. Just letters and street numbers. As well as a lot of closed off places you couldn't go and could not see in. Don't get me wrong, I know opsec is a big part of air force activities but the whole place had a very strange vibe and the personnel who worked there were pretty stand offish. Could be just me reading into something that isn't there too but I found it very odd idk.

He even tried to sell as home but made a stipulation he remains living there. His internet search history is weird too. It was new age type where they talked of body vibrations.

@Gundus1000 That's what the word "disappear" means... That they have not been found and we don't know where they are... But when or if they are found; they will have no longer disappeared. So yes, they did disappear, or have disappeared, up until when or if they are found again. There's a reason that word exists, just as for them all, because it describes an event, a condition, a current state or situation.
If I suddenly lost my way in the forest and walked until I die there, I will of course have disappeared to the rest of the world, and even to myself as I became lost and possibly lost my life. It is a correct way to describe a situation, up until the day the person is found, for only then will they have no longer disappeared, because they were FOUND.
      Lesson over. :)

The Dennis Martin case; I do believe that there is some validity to the family hearing a sickening screen that day and noticing a dirty looking man carrying something over his shoulder is very credible, and the authorities should have a look into that more thoroughly, because I believe it would have given the Martin family much needed answers. Also, what men in their right mind that do not have anything to hide besides “illegal ginseng hunting”, would not report finding a child’s skeleton in national park? Illegal ginseng hunting would not keep me from reporting finding skeletal remains. I would look into the man that mentions this because he’s mean to bring it up decades, after the fact, gives quite a room for pause for me. I would definitely look into that man. Something just doesn’t add up for me.

Todd: yeah his friend is very suspicious. Why would he leave his friend knowing he was injured? He could have just gone with him to the lodge and got help together, then continued his own trip alone.
It doesn't make sense for Todd to leave the trail while injured, let alone for his dog to leave him, especially if he was alive (one would assume he would have survived at least a couple of weeks without help).
If the friend killed him then its possible someone else took his boots & gun i suppose.

All interesting stories but the not quite music, almost music noise, in the background is incredibly irritating and gets in the way of actually hearing the narration, drowning out the narrator's voice in places. Please consider posting without the distracting backing track, or turning it down a lot. The narrator has weak voice and it really isn't improved by repetitive droning noises.

    My thoughts
1 - Todd's disappearance - This is a weird one and I think it may have been foul play only because - why didn't they alert authorities the first night. If someone is alone and missing in the woods OVERNIGHT it's time to alert everyone. They played off the first night and then returned to their search the next day only to alert authorities the following day? That's super weird. That said, I don't think we can put too much stock into the wife's account. No wife likes their husbands friends and everything she said could be taken way out of context. How often have you phoned your buddy to rub in they couldn't come on that trip "HA HA loser, wish you were here" but when described out of context it sounds horrible. This is a tough one but I'm thinking perhaps a wild life encounter that made him run into the woods, fell over a cracked his head? Something like that?

Since social media became a repository of their stories, across all missing hiker/SAR incidents, the two age demographics with very high disappearance/ SAR rescue incidents are under 35 and over 65.
41:00 Athletes 1/3rd Paul’s age are crawling on hands and knees to summit the mountain and complete the race.
44:04 While SAR officials, themselves sliding almost uncontrollably down the mountain, search for a poorly conditioned & ill equipped, retirement age victim, they stumble across another hapless and underprepared young lady who is in Stage 1 or Stage 2 hypothermia. Who are these people? Why do we see so many stories that share the preface of victim preparedness issues? Or lack thereof? They go barreling into Alaskan wilderness, knowing it’s inclimate weather & muddy ….while carrying zero supplies, no gear and no water. If one looks carefully at the beginning race segments it appears that perhaps 1 in 20 racers carries one of the Camel Back style “turtle shell” packs specifically designed to afford trail runners just enough carry-space to bring the bare essentials. The packs have been around 20+years.
Both victims should be equipped with a trail runners pack: windbreaker, head-insulating hat, water, headlamp, Garmin & basic survival kit. Total weight of suggested gear? Less than 10 pounds. (Water is 8.2 pounds per gallon)
That gentleman looks like an amicable fellow but compared to all the other runners we see participating in 2012, he is advanced in years and a bit heavy. And that poor girl looks like she’s underdressed for an early spring trip to the local gym. There’s a big disconnect between some Millennials & Zoomers when it comes to basic wilderness safety and survival protocols. Additionally there’s a danger gap in older men who overestimate their physical capabilities and wind up lost and freezing (or roasting) at the bottom of a canyon.
Had the State Trooper not found that young lady she would’ve unquestionably died of hypothermia. She was well on her way. Speech slightly impaired. Mental fog. Scared. This may sound harsh but there is a one shot lesson to be learned in her appearance and hypothermia symptoms. I wonder if anyone took agency and told her that she was two hours( or less) from dying? We live in such a twisted PC world that had the Alaska Trooper given her a cup of hot chocolate and a tough love (life saving) talk he’d probably find himself standing before the “Court of H.R.” Crime? “Victim shaming.”
And of course, Paul was never found. Age 66, a tad heavy, carrying zero gear or thermoregulation layers. He was never seen again. Well loved. Missed by many. He likely froze to death. Alone. Hopefully not in pain. At the bottom of a mud slide. Could a $3 whistle around a neck lanyard made THE difference? Would a 150 lumen O Light preset to flash SOS enabled professionals to locate him? Said light weighs ounces and can be carried in the “house key pouch” of even the flimsiest running shorts.
I live at the base of a National Park in the Cascades and it’s haunting. Their faces, all the faces of missing loved ones “swallowed up” by Hood, Ranier, Olympic and Crater Lake. Their faces look back at us while we grocery shop. Pump gas. Hit the bank. Their faces cover every street light and power pole when we walk the dogs. Most of their tragedies were preventable. Almost all. But the onus of prevention lies with the victims and rather than save lives by amplifying messages such as this one, far too many choose to self-soothe after the fact “because it’s nicer.”
Until grown adults invest a few hours, before engaging in their preferred activity, learning basic wilderness medicine, hiking and trail running safety protocols and survival, channels like these will remain well supplied. And the bulletin boards in NW Washington will remain plastered two inches thick and overflowing with individual incidents of broken hearts.

There is no cell phone service within a mile of my cabin due to all the 300-400 foot tall hills Even though there is a cellphone tower literally 1.2 miles from my cabin and everytime I go out even if for a stroll just to be in nature or hunting and fishing I carry at least a day pack with basics, water bottle, whistle, hand warmers, several lighters and flint and steel, knife, almost always carry my pistol even if only used to create noise and attention such as 3 shots in a row as signal for help, there are bears, coyotes, and cougars(although very rare, I did have a cougar on my huntjng trail camera this year 2 days Before season. I know the woods like the back of my hand and I've got lost up there 3 times in 20 years. Once I sat in place for 5 hours til I heard a vehicle honk its horn for some reason. It got super foggy that set in within about 45 mins I couldnt tell which way was which. Everytime I go out I prep for at least one-two nights in the woodsn twice it happened while tracking a deer I shot. I got hot on the trail and was focused on that instead of my surroundings. Oh that case of Mike, that disappeared was very odd. Did the authorities ever go inside that abandoned cabin? Could there have been squatters there and Mike tried to run them off ? It seemed like Mike was in a hurry or something was going on if he was the last one off the Atv. Did he think he turned it to off position ,since it was new to him ,he may have just put in in the position his other atv would have been in off ? Did they look for tire tracks around that atv? Or footprints around that cabin.? It may be related to that cabin ,somehow. He came upon something or he saw something by that abandoned cabin. He wanted to approach from a distance and has quietly as possible or he saw a shooting and ran for his life and ended up getting lost in that major park adjacent to his property . They didnt look in that area ,i dont believe. My thoughts are with his dear family. I hope that they eventually get the answers they deserve.
