Given the lore I feel like green would make the most sense with either generators made by ALLMIND or ones that used light waves like the Moonlight and Aurora
@@pestopartyy How would Light Generators even work? Would they have a gimmick similar to the Coral Gens, or would Light Gens work similar to how old Armored Core treated energy in that it takes a bit to fully use and/or has an extremely large energy charge but takes fucking forever to recharge?
In theory, It should be useful in pvp for understanding what's your opponent's tactic. But every pvp battle is a supersonic fukaroo and it ends before you can get what was going on.😂
@@LikelyFeral Meanwhile I'm dodging all over the place with an SMG and two melee weapons to swap between with a drone to stagger more easily. The drone does a good job of hitting the enemy and building up stagger. Works great with V1. That's one of the fastest bosses in the game.
That's actually a really good point... You can get some interesting info on the enemy mech by booster color. Specially knowing how much available energy and QB they might have available, or their Energy reload time, but the one Coral Genny I got is fkin SLOW.
Its funny that I don't even know which colour my boosters have without starting up the game, though I use the same generator/build for several missions. Good to know that you can change it with the generator.
What tripped me out was not realizing that my generator changed the color. Go into game using the same setup just with a newly found GEN. Only to see the color change and scratching my head in confusion. Only to find out energy type was the culprit. Wild. So yes you can change the color. But is the preferred color at a loss or a gain?
Coral generators asks you to completely deplete the bar and abuse the high post recovery energy gain. It has about 1 second delay for 75% of heavy generators ammount of energy returned after being emptied.
You’re using the coral generator wrong. You are actively encouraged to constantly redline because unlike other generators the moment your redline ends and you start regaining energy you start off with like 2/3rd of your bat full right off the bat
Question: does generator types have hidden effects on certain boosters/ weight ACs, like the recharge and quick boost efficiency? I like the 4k capacity dafeng generator for many quick boosts, but i also want to have blue for a very special old cosplay: Asterus from the Flash Game Xenos, and maybe also for a Risk of Rain 2 Mercenary cosplay. The Arquebus generators give off the impression that they sacrifice too much for energy spec, of which Melee isn't even effected.
Oh okay cool, I still low-key wished you could changed it directly with RGB values... I'm still only in Chapter 2 so I'm certain I'll have more freedom eventually so my booster colour doesn't mash with my paint job
Would have been a cool feature. Though, this also lets you get an idea of your opponents' build in PvP. Esspecially important if they are running a coral gen.
Oh? These are the only ones I've noticed but I think there's still 1-2 I haven't unlocked yet in NG+/++ feel free to post here if you find another color.

Its actually really cool that there's a logical reason why the booster changes color depending on what power source you're using.
Right? Thought it was an interesting change for sure.
IC generator for orange color, circulating current generator for blue color, coral generator for red.
The short version lol
I was thinking the same lol
My guy is all about efficiency, thanks for the tldw lol. I love that they changed to lore appropriate boost colouring 🤤 this game rules.
The coral generators also change the color of your assault armor to red which is why i love using them
Are there more than one coral generator ?
@@sandrhops7306There's 2 coral generators if I'm not mistaken.

Tanks rejoice. You can change booster colors like the rest of us! \o/
🥳 🎉
The coral generators make your expansions red, they sound different too I think.
Yep, love that. With the others changed them too!
Keep in mind that if you're going for a specific loadout you can be liited to only 1 or 2 generators.
That's true. For optimization you may not have a real choice. Of coarse, you could always build around the generator instead :P
Engineer: sir why did you choose this specific generator? That performance is terrible and it’s outdated
Pilot: I want blue color fire
Pretty much how it feels with the coral engines lol.😂
The only way to play 👍
I was excited for a moment thinking that booster color was customizable lol still cool tho
Maybe some day. Still, I think this is a fairly good method.
I only use the coral generator because you blow up like a villian in a boss fight
Haha love that reasoning. 🤣
I believe the generator/booster color also affects the Pulse shield and that other ability that explodes that I can't remember now.
It's specific to the coral generators if you are talking about pulse protection, armor, etc...
Thank you for making this great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You also die beautifully with aorta
THAT YOU DO! Very important if you see that animation a lot lol 😂
This needs to change. You ought to be able to change booster color at will to whatever color you want, like paint.
Would be fun, though it's never been a thing. I think they like to have a "reason" for the color in this one. Maybe in a future DLC though 🤔
imagine they let us change it to any color we want. rainbow booster coming

I kinda dislike this change but at least there is some difference. Was hoping to see it wasn't just the generator but, oh well. Thanks for the video!

Aw, I was sort hoping that you could color your boosters whatever you wanted.
Unfortunately not, bit atleast there's a method to the madness.
