Never mounted a motorcycle in my life, yet I watch every video to the end. I appreciate the solitary freedom of getting away on the open road. I do it with my cars. Hambone does it with a motorbike. Same thing.
I'm from the Gold Coast but take frequent holidays to Sydney and Gosford area. The Old Road is such a nice road and even better when you stop at Pie in the sky. Great Video!
Was out on the OPH today. Haven't really ridden in anger on this road since they've changed the speed limit. Used to ride along the "second section" a lot faster than I did today. Wish they'd changed it back.
G'day mate, Very nice video & I enjoyed the trip down memory lane. The road you are travelling on is actually what we used to call the hew highway, & there was another road that we called the old road. This is giving my age away a bit but anyway as a kid we lived in Newcastle & would normally get up at 04.00 in the morning & after brekky would start off around 06.00 taking the old road (original) & normally arrived in Sydney around 14.30 the trip taking 8 & a half hours. Back in the day it was a major trip & adventure for a young bloke, anyway thanks for the memories Mate, Steve.
I bought a suction cup mount and did the old PAC last Saturday, on my way down. Suction cup mount is quite shaky, not very impressed with it. Might have to try the pole mount next, from my riser bars on the old Zephyr
pink hyena featherduster. Great clip for me, a newbie of the purest sense (passed my L's 3 weeks ago and managing a short local practice run almost every day so far). No twisties as yet, when do you reckon it's feasible to take this ride on? I'm on a suzuki GS500. I suppose it depends on the rider, sill question!
I took my car through that doing 80 most of the way ( ;) ) and theres this certain bit of road about half way through to the large bridge down a long hill, and theres this huge dip in the road, and I bottomed out so hard I was surprised I didn't destoy my mufflers
lol nice vid i like the longer ones and if theres a great spot at the top of the mountian road like an amazinv view let us see and make a vid i am soon starting vloggs my self see ya.
Is it my imagination or does the asphalt look a little greasy? Did it rain recently? You're riding through there nice and smooth if it did! You Tastey Stoner, you! Oh and Cyan Zebra Garbagedisposal!
I have the same bike as you (2011 blue 250r) i'm in canada. Nice road but your driving on the wrong side :p. It would be hard to get use to it. Hope ill visit and ride your country some day.
Those traffic signals (which were off) on those roads, seemed pretty pointless.... i drove on that road, and i questioned about those traffic signals, and what the point in them
Purple Monkey Dishwasher and i will get my motorcycle 18-th of november if u have time we can ride on weekends =) just came to Syd 10 month ago and know nothing ... and would be great if u will show me some good places in Syd. Your videos is awesome !!!
bro i need a hand im a new rider and i have a kawasaki zzr 250 and i was riding a long a i passed a highway patrol and he get me doing 107 and i swear that i was doing 97 and i got donw for $250 and lost my license for 3 months got any ideas and im on my l's
purple monkey dishwasher thinks that looks an awesome road :) and when im back in OZ i will be taking a bike down it :) i live in the UK and we never ridden in oz but we have some great roads here too. just hard to find sometime, and very dependent on weather lol. Cool vid buddy :)
tastyhamsandwhich i was actually born in Penrith buddy (go the Panthers) and i really do miss the weather lol especially now with temps dropping to below 0 soon with snow on the way. I will defo be doing that road when i finally get back there :)
PurpleMonkeyDishwasher. Good advice through those challenging/deceptive corners. 1st and 3rd section are my favourites also, 1st takes the cake on a clear, fast run. Your principal in year 6 sure is a bitch too haha
Purple monkey dishwasher. Great vid man , It would be sweet to ride over there , I'm in ohio in the states right now so the snow won't be lettin me ride for a few months :/
Next time ride with a camera so you can prove it? Otherwise I know of some people who wrote up a professional letter with a few references about the good character of themselves and how it was a mistake and first offence, etc and have seen reduced from 3 months to just 1 month.
Purple monkey dishwasher. Is it crazy that in my state of Washington there is a Pacific Highway and it's the motorcyclist dream. Im only 17 but I go every week and no matter my mood I have fun. wish I had a track by me
Did a drive there today on my Ls even though I was in my dads outlander I loved taking the corners as fast as I could ahah

I haven't been on that road in years, many years, at least pre 90's. Thanks for the memories.
Yea will have to organise something soon, just hard to find time!
Pmdw, grew up at the Calga interchange, 57 to 78. Saw a lot of changes in that time.
Love the scenery. I think that's what I like most about "Vlogs". We all get see different places in depth through the eyes of the lens. Great video!
Going to hopefully ride Sunny Coast -> Sydney in December, definitely going to hit the Old Pac HWY.
Cool cruisy ride I don't think I drove on that when I was down there last week
I bought a suction cup mount and did the old PAC last Saturday, on my way down. Suction cup mount is quite shaky, not very impressed with it. Might have to try the pole mount next, from my riser bars on the old Zephyr
