Satoshi made me laugh ,”I need beer”…I’m going to try master the mochi with an and slice of sweet potato…I made steam sweet potato dango…I wish Hawaii had the yellow colored sweet potato…ever since the purple Okinawa sweet potato became popular no one plant the yellow potato…I miss that…to me the Okinawa one is too starchy. Those were all good snack attack…I certainly enjoyed this video. 🙏 thank you.

I totally understand Shinichi’s obsession with sweet potatoes.. I LOVE them too. Where I’m from, we also have street vendors selling them roasted on the side of the roads - But of course, Japan is truly admirable when it comes to creatively deliver the flavor in all kind of ways. I need more sweet potato snacks in my life 😭🍠
Definitely adding Kawagoe to my bucket list!!

I visited Kawagoe in 2017. This brought back memories because when I was there, it was also a dreary, rainy day as well. I hate walking around in the rain! Plus, at that time, I had my old umbrella with me, and it lost its water repellent quality, so it eventually leaks water if it rains for a long time.

Last time I was there was in summer and it was so hot. The heatstroke that I got I do not recommend but Kawagoe is a great place. I love just walking around in the area of the bell tower. the sweets street is also fun but it was soooo busy. And I remember the boeddha statues so well. Really want to go back there one day and introduce the town to my mother. And i think Saya would love als the food hahaha and most things Eric would eat as well.
I would definetly try the sweet potato soda, never had that. I would freeze it and made shaved ice with it :) and the sweet potato snacks look delicious. satsuma imo is one of my favourites ever. Especially in the coming autumn season. I would love to try making the sweet potato with anko and mochi at home. The chips also look amazing!
