I've been studying here for a while, in fact one of my classes was with Ikenobe Sensei (featured in this video) and I can 100% guarantee that this is school is beyond amazing, in regards to class quality and learning curve you will hardly find anything better I believe, every teacher put a lot of effort and detail into every single lesson every day, they try to teach you in various ways, like reading, shadowing, acting, writing, watching videos, hearing music, you name it. Not only that, but the teachers care for you beyond academic levels, they will help you with questions about japan, places to visit, festivals, work related events like work interviews, health issues, I genuinely feel that they actually care about you. I've had around 10 teachers now, but if I had to pick my favorite top 3, I would say 1.- Ebata Sensei (Funny lessons, happy teacher, she cares for you a lot), 1.- Kunimitsu Sensei (She's very direct, some students could be a little nervous around her, but her skills at class handling and teaching are second to none, definitely an experienced teacher) 3.- Tsuchiya Sensei (She's the kind of teacher that offers chocolate to the students during the breaks and ask you how was your day, I find it personally funny that when we need to fill a blank in a sentence and she's reading it, she pronunces the blank as "Honya〜 Honya〜"

I’d love to go to Akamonkai once I finish school, but i have a few questions about the school. (1) I know the school can help you prepare for some things for example higher education, JLPT, business Japanese etc, I wondering if the school lets you choose multiple things to study towards. Like, am I allowed to study for higher education and study business Japanese? (2) I would like to get into university in japan that is taught entirely in Japanese. How long would I it take for my Japanese to be efficient enough for this as an absolute beginner? (3) I am aware that the school has their own houses for students to stay in, do you have to share your apartment with another person, or do you have it to yourself? (4) How long would it take for my Japanese to be good enough for me being able to speak Japanese at a convention level as an absolute beginner? (5) let’s say I apply to study in japan in July, would classes start on July 1st? Or would it be later on in the week. (6) how long are the school days/ classes (7) i know that the classes are taught in Japanese, but what if you don’t know any Japanese at all? Is there some parts taught in English? (8) do I purchase my text book before or after I arrive in Japan (9) I’m northern Irish, we don’t exactly have a “northern Irish passport” we are able to choose a British or an Irish passport I myself have an Irish passport, would this cause any problems? (10) if you have completed your time at the language school, and you aspire to go to a university. Does the school help you with sorting out university? (11)let’s say I need £10,600 for a 2 year course at akamonkai, but I only have around 8,000. Am I able to pay it off if I get a part time job in Japan? (12) is there any after school clubs at akimonkai for making friends/ helping with homework? I am saving as much as possible to be able to use Gogo nihon when I finish school, I really, really hope to use you guys soon
Hi there, 1) From a certain level you are able to take electives, yes 2) You'd need JLPT N2 level, it takes about 1,5 to 2 years to reach this level at a language school 3) It depends on your preferences, you can stay at the dorm but you do not have to 4) This depends on your own efforts and ability to learn languages but generally in full-time study, it would take about 2 years 5) No, classes start some time within the first 2 weeks of a term 6) You would attend classes Mo-Fri for about 4 hours a day 7) Japanese language schools use the full immersion technique so the classes are in Japaanese even for complete beginners because this is the most effective study method (also your classmates may not be able to speak English). The teachers are very experienced with this and most people are completely fine with this method. 8) The school will give the books to you 9) No problem 10) Yes 11) 6 months of tuition have to be paid before the start of classes. In order to get a student visa, you need to be able to show that either you yourself or a sponsor can finance your life in Japan so you won't get into any financial trouble here. Generally, a bank statement of 1 million JPY is required for this. 12) Depending on the year you're there, your classmates or level mates may organize study groups

Hi! You can apply for July term now and if we are able to assist you with your application, then we will tell you what you need to prepare for your application. Different schools have different requirements, so please contact us for the most accurate information: gogonihon.com
+EJPkiwi You are able to legally work part-time up to 28 hours per week with a student visa. Many of our students are able to successfully find jobs teaching their own native language to Japanese locals. Other part-time opportunities include working at a restaurant, cafe, convenience store, etc. The average hourly part-time wage is around 900yen.
In order to study at any language school on a student visa, you need at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Feel free to reach out to us via our contact form so we can help you with your individual situation: gogonihon.com/en/contact/
Definitely going there next year!, i actually have a question, I will be going for a 6 month program, but, if I find a part time job I would like to pay for another semester, and so on, is that possible? or even if after some time I can afford another 6 months, is game over for me?
Hi there! While it is possible to continue funding your lessons with the money you are earning here, please be aware that Akamonkai is one of the most high-intensity schools which means that many students find it difficult to balance their studies with their work schedule. Furthermore, we suggest that you do some research on the types of jobs you're qualified for in Tokyo and how much they pay. With that information, you should be able to roughly estimate how much you'll be able to save in a certain period of time and whether that would cover your schooling. For more information, don't hesitate to contact us by filling out this form: gogonihon.com/en#contact. :)
Hi! In order to meet immigration requirements for the student visa, we recommend you have at least 1 million yen for every 6 months of study in your bank account. so for two years, it would be ideal to have at least 4 million yen. However, this is a very rough estimate and we highly recommend students have as much more than that as possible.
