Omg why is this so criminally underrated??? Overwatch was baby’s first FPS for me, my little sister and I played it constantly ever since release (we were 13 and 10.) We were a cracked duo of two teenage girls on pharmercy. We played together all the way up until the Overwatch 2 and slowly dropped off- just wasn’t the same anymore. Still have a lot of good memories on it though, it’s the reason I got into video games other than Minecraft
This was a really interesting point of view, it's fun to see someone who has a lot of knowledge of OW1 come back and try OW2. I've been playing since 2016, and have only taken shorter breaks, a couple of months at most. For me, playing the game and some of the modes are worth it in itself, if they're fun. Like I spent a lot of time in Junkenstein's lab even after I wouldn't get anything from it because I enjoyed it.
I played OW2 once became free. I quit after two or three weeks because I keep losing, and it's not fun. I came back to play classic and OMG I'M ADDICTED. IT'S SO GOOD. I UNDERSTAND THE HYPE OF 6V6. I'm gonna miss bastion's old kit.
On the note of the mythics before season 10 the mythic would be the skin u earnt at tier 80 with all customisations unlocked so them giving u 80 prisms gives u enough to unlock a mythic fully (not includeding the new guilded aspects) this way if u didnt like the mythic skin for that season u will still be motivated to grind it so u could get previous season u missed or save it for another season.
Also the reason Doom was moved to tank was - like you mentioned - that they wanted to move hard CC from the dps role to tank. And Doom's kit is pure CC.
After playing Classic and re-living Cass stun and Mei freeze, I don't mind them. You said "I wish they would get rid of them"; you're asking to sanitize the game. I know it feels bad to stun and freeze but it also feels good for the attacking player. Classic is full of high-highs and low-lows. Removing them is turning everything mid. So many players complain about Genji and Tracer movements and I have to ask: "Do you just want a turn based game?" Lol. Going back to normal after Classic, everything feels mid. Sure, things are faster and characters get more options with canceling abilities. Being forced to commit to abilities isn't always a bad thing.
Was it really that bad? OW classic has reminded me it was really that bad Also they brought the designs back a bit in the clash maps. And the devs said that they moved Doom to a tank because because he had soooooo much CC and since dps aren't allowed to have any hard CC it felt off
Overwatch is in the best spot its ever been aside from end of ow1 patch, imo. Balancing is fairer than ever. Only the newest Character Juno is kind of too strong rn. Besides that 50% of cast can be played in some way
You can try, but I don’t recommend treating the game as competitive. Most people want to win, but don't want to just change characters, so... don't take her seriously. If you want to relax and not do the dirty work of 4 people in order to get paid (victory), I advise you to try a workshop or training against bots.
very well put together video its a crime its not getting any traction\
ow classic and junks lab have been my favorite events in sooooo long
