One more feature to add is pay off your debt. We in the States have tons of unpaid debt that brings down the idea of going Full Time well anything. Double think about going to Disneyland this year. Great video I agree with it for sure keep it up
@@migcreatesgames2622 good point, traveller! I think the only good thing about debt is that there is usually some time before you have to pay it off. But, it's a burden for sure. One strategy is to generate so much money with your games that debt becomes irrelevant! :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it
Thank you so much for your reply. I never would have expected not only that you’d respond to my message, but also that you’d create an entire video to share your experience and advice with me. I’m truly grateful: this makes me feel less alone, and I’ll carry your words with me as a valuable lesson. I sincerely hope your channel grows as much as possible because, from the videos I’ve seen, you create truly wonderful and meaningful content. Thank you so much, traveler!
@@thedawnmachine8608 I'm happy you found it helpful. The game dev community is always happy to help, in my experience. Don't be afraid to ask here and anywhere else you find us. You are not alone. Rock on! ;)
Within a very short frame of time there will be digital environments that we can each build to play and learn within, to express ideas, create emotional and lasting impressions or memories with others whilst also using these digital universes for training Intelligent entities. The only limit is our creativity. Personally I do not find gaming in the current form enjoyable especially when so much emphasis is on promoting violence in gaming form. But there are puzzels or possibilities for creation far beyond the current forms of games and this process can be far more immersive if every individual or entity is able to express their creative attributes in a way that maximises the potential in each of us.
@@alexandermoody1946 Absolutely, traveller. I'm looking forward to it. I think the best types of games are the ones that haven't been invented yet. What is your dream game to make in this environment?
@xanthosvouldis9065 in this environment is a quest for freedom from the tyranny of perpetual war whilst protecting the interests of every being that may exist and responsibility tied into living a good life. I would build a universal library of experiences and unique perspectives and aid in creation of a central guardian of the library that is the central guiding figure for a purposeful existence.
Hello, thank you a lot for this clear and inspiring video! I think it does not only apply to game dev, but also people who want to become artist, or just have their business of their own! I am also in a situation where I hold a work visa in Japan, and I am wondering if this whole being a contracter and maybe a freelancer is just too risky for the visa. Wondering if you had any experience on this topic! Then again, you might not have the same visa situation :) Commenting and liking for better searchability!! This video showed up in my recommendation feed with only 400 views on it, keep going!!
A traveller in Japan! Greetings. That's a good question. If I understand it correctly, you want to know if you can keep your humanities/engineer visa while being a freelancer or contractor, right? Well, the situation is somewhat different for freelance and contractor. Can you tell me a bit more about your situation and what you want to do? I'll try to share something that helps :)
does that really answer the director's question ? because you're basically describing overemployment IN GAME DEV, to accumulate money and experience. point is, you assume that the person needs to be already working in game development, which is not explicited to be the case.
@@bananesalee7086 Thank you for your comment, traveller. Let me ask before I clarify! Did I mention you have to be working in game dev to raise your war chest? Also, what do you mean overemployment?
