#Xperia1VI #smartphone #review
this man showed us its maximum potential
Fr, that footage is incredible
There an icelandic man who did a review and it was better ig
mid at best.
Sold me on the first couple images !
I dont think showing still images its the best way to showcase its capability nowadays all smart phones have the same quality, Video quality is what they need to show
I am a simple smartphone user, but I am one of the big fans of Sony, Sony Xperia. My life with Sony products began back in 2008 with the Sony Ericsson K550i. Afterwards I bought Sony Ericsson T700i, Sony Ericsson Xperia ray, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. And at the moment I am using Sony Xperia XA2 Plus. Old phone, maybe it's time to upgrade to Sony Xperia 1 VI.
Kokhi, you are absolutely right about her. She is excellent at modeling, really natural. Apart from the phone being excellent, your creativity and presentation is top notch. Love the color science. It looked very natural. It is refreshing to see Sony implement their knowledge into the phone. This might be my next phone.
Surprising to see a niche phone series having such great camera.
What an amazing camera! Loved the energy that the model brought to the video!😊
Great to see you being among the first in line. Your review never disappoints and you really shows the true strength of this phone.
holyshet really nice photos you took there, awesome job bro 🙏🙏❤❤
The only video I needed! Thank you for this experience✌
You always push the camera to its potential and it lives up to it. Also, love your artistic style :) Great work as always, Kohki!
It looks super natural photo which is actually a good vibe for many photographers..
I really love your pictures, the vibe is awesome!
Welcome back Kohki! This was awesome
buying one straight away
It’s so good! You will love it (⁀ᗢ⁀)
Pictures Turned out so well! Especially the night mode!
Great review and demo mate. Totally considering this now.
Thank you for the review of new Xperia Kohki
Its so awesome. Absolutely need to upgrade my xperia 5v to this !!!!
Hi Kohki! Its been a while since I watched you last video. Its still great as ever! I miss these kinds of contents. 🙌
The music in the video is awesome, I was watching with my headphones on, and really enjoyed the beats. Great shots btw. 😍
What's song name??
Violeta by ballpoint, cushy & Dylan sitts
When new Xperia come out definitely I'll be waiting for your review about new Xperia. But this time so fast I love it so much!
Hahaha thank you! It’s Less of a spec review but I hope you like my take on it (^ω^)
2 youtuber i love watch review when new xperia release. 1st kohki & 2nd is olle nilsson. Both are real review xperia
@@Kohki non of the reviews seem to mention the hardware differences, on paper it seems the cameras are the same as 1 v but what makes all these new camera features available on the 1 vi like the full 48mp photos is it just the software?
@@ahmadkhairulanuar2654 same! every time Sony release a new phone, i search kohki and Olle Nilsson, they showed its maximum potential.
So many beautiful photographs here. Thanks for the review.
I didn't think this was much of an upgrade but you showed us several improvements. I could definitely use the macro telephoto and the 48mm lens. I was complaining about the lack of focal lengths between 24 and 80mm on the mark V. It also looks as if the top end focal length is much sharper too.
Thanks for the great video. I already pre ordered this phone. Nice greetings from Germany.
where to pre order?
Bro this video really sold me. I'm using the 1V and tbh, it's a fantastic phone ovarall and I like it a lot, but I also expect the camera can do more. The 1 VI brings that to the table. Amazing content. Keep it up!
Thank you for watching and your kind words!
I think it can do more too, although it’s still ahead of its competitors in terms of quality so I hope it stays that way.
@@Kohki based on your opinion, do you think there would be the second gen of the Pro-I? Idk but I have a feeling that Sony saved the 4K 21:9 display, and 1 inch camera sensor for pro users. I really hope so. I've been thinking a lot but this VI is persuasive enough for me to give up on the V.
Lets be honest. Your background is full of Apple products, includning an iphone, so i think this xperia will be not your main or even second device to take a photos or video recording 😅
Telephoto sensor of sony is so tiny ( 1/3.5 )
I second that
Why I don't subscribe. I'm loyal to Android loyalists . Yes , I'm a snob
Fuck the apple. Just go and watch the videos of xperia v
This is my dream phone too, but android don’t have a competitor to the Apple Watch cellular 😂 therefore I can’t switch. Why would I switch when I can leave my iphone at home and carry a real camera which makes up for the trashy iPhone cam…
First step, find a cute girlfriend
Really nice footage! I also had the chance to try it out and I'm still impressed.
Amazing Video ❤
experia is just heaven for photographer
Khoki you did an amazing job! Looking forward to your channel now :) P.S. Addlyn is very energetic for sure xD
Thank you! Haha right? Her energy level even after a full day is like peak100
Lovely shots!
crazy outcome. Beautiful images. Glad to see that sony has come so far with their technology.
I love these videos you make about the phones and how good the cameras are! Would you be able to do the same kind of video on the Xperia 10 VI? I'm really interested in finding out how much the cameras on the lower end models have improved...
Really really great video 🎉❤
What was the filter you added on for the evening shots at 10:25? Those were really interesting shots!
so fast lol :D im not even finished watching the announcement yet
me either only got like 10 minutes in haha
Not interesting i will stick to samsung
Well they get the product in advance obviously with an embargo 😅
Same
@@nerdakash4920Can't see the appeal of Samsung anymore nowadays. In fact, the only reason I still even bothered looking at it is because of DeX.
Great review❤
Great review! The main concern i have is the quality of the UW and tele lenses. Are they as sharp as the competition? Also does the oled screen look low res compared to an lcd of the same resolution?
Great video. Absolute pro.
I love sony i have a xperia 5 mark iv and i love this phone.
Love from belgium❤️🇧🇪
nice video bro!
I'm really impressed by the Bokeh Mode, it does an amazing job with flowers and trees behind and in front of the model. The Bokeh Mode night shot in the city looks straight out of a professional Sony alpha camera! I wish Sony would have put the Exmor T Sensor in the Telephoto as well, as I use Telephoto zoom a lot, that was one of my biggest improvement wishes...maybe next year? The increase of the zoom range to 170mm is probably reason enough for me to buy this phone lol. A slight let down is the screen resolution, could you actually tell apart the resolution of the 1 VI and the 1V? Going to try it out as soon as its available, thank you very much for this review!
I'd agree. Most reviews say the resolution suffers in the 170mm zoom and lack contrast. A real shame. For me, it's all about camera performance but not using too much AI. It's really got to match the i-Phone for video and I don't think it does. I'm a real Sony fan and anything but Apple but can't deny the evidence.
i-Phone just always seems to have the best detail and smoothest motion in video
I bought the last one (Xperia 1 V) recently and I'm still testing it. And they're already putting out a new one 😅
Great job. Did you retouch these photos? Or it’s straight from camera?
Great video! May I know what accessories you used for the night shot? (the attachment clip and filter?) Keep up the great work bro! ❤
id like to know too!!!
I was on a downer about the screen as I was expecting QHD but I've ordered mine that is how impressive your video was. Great job.
Hahahah thank you for your kind words. The camera UI used to be low quality when shooting even with the 4K display but for some reason that’s fixed despite it being a FHD screen now.
On a smartphone screen you can’t tell FHD to 4K either so you won’t really notice. At least I didn’t.
Hope you like the VI!
@@Kohki even on a 24" monitor i can hardly tell the difference between 1080p and 4k.
thanks for sharing, pretty exciting
Sheeesshh Xperia 😍😍
Hahah crazy upgrades ٩(⌯꒦ິ̆ᵔ꒦ິ)۶ᵒᵐᵍᵎᵎᵎ
@@Kohki definitely I still have my Xperia Z1, XZ1 and Xperia 1V beautiful phones from Sony 🍻 more content like this 🏆
Wow she looks stunning 🤩
A great video review and very impressive what one can do with the Xperia 1VI
amazing !!! thank you so much !!!
I bought the Xperia 1 III when it came out. Absolutely loved it and got used to how to use it's normal and pro camera modes. It took a while to look into what will be my next phone. Guess the VI will be worth a shot
Wow! Great job 👏 Your vision is quite stunning!
Besides, i've managed to notice qi charger on the table - what is it? 4:42
Beautiful..
The model as well
Hopefully got Blue version to choose
I think I'm in love with her! ❤️
Go eff her simp
Great video as always! Interesting changes by Sony. So, should I jump from my Xperia Pro-I? I'm still impressed with the output from my old Pro-I.
Thank you!
Yeah I think this one’s 1000% worth upgrading. I really love it it blew my mind on how good the quality is. I wish it had like a 12mm or 13mm lens since I love wide but other than that love it ٩(^◡^)۶
@@Kohki I was tempted by the leitz phone 3 but it seems a little limiting. I've been a little unsure about Sony's recent optical telephoto results but it looks pretty decent in your video. Overall the phone looks like a worthwhile upgrade. You're speaking my language - 12mm would be so nice to have!
Another Pro-I user here. May I know how is the video shooting experience with this one? Any cluttering in the new app comparing with Videography Pro of the old?
Do you guys think Sony will release the next generation of the Pro-i? I'm tempted to upgrade from 1V but I have a feeling that holding me back that I should wait for a 1-inch camera phone from Sony. It'd be 100 times better!
@@phatthesaigonese7947 having done some market research for the Xperia team in the past, I don't think they will. This is purely my own guess based on sales data of the previous pro phones and also the current cost of Xperia phones. Should they create a new one I can't see it being too far off £2000. At that price they'll have a very small market to appeal to.
great photo, great skill.
Great great camera phone! Wish i can also have one❤😊
Both look beautiful
great video.......what about availability....... is it in all markets or specific ones....
I'm planning on getting a proper dslr camera but this phone caught my attention. I currently take photos on my Huawei P40 Pro and have always photographed on a phone. So which would be better to get the Sony 1 VI or used 1400€ dslr or mirrorless camera(including a "normal" lens 24mm to 50mm and a zoom lens)?
Amazing. Thanks dear ❤❤❤
How's your impression of the new camera app overall? For both taking picture and video
I love it. I wish I can rearrange the placement but other than that I don’t need to constantly open and close apps. Saves me time when shooting quick.
For example the ‘more’ section that has 48mp option and the macro should be placed within the other main tabs integrated into the photo/video tab.
I think they could easily fix that with a software update.
It's very informative. 👍👌✌👏💪...and a great collaboration by the way. 🔥 Well done. 🏆🏅
What about image stabilization? Can you compete action cams? Any external flash sync functions?
WOW My idol is return !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tge front facing camera looks amazing wow
does it have seemless zoom video recording to ALL lenses, including the selfie lens? would be so nice for social media
stunning
does it have a voice command shutter in camera finally?
Kudos to Sony Xperia 1 vi, now we're in love with Addlyn.
Sony is the way! 🖤💯
im just curious. what camera video u use and lens and setting??the quality is very japanese movie vibe, like kimini todoke
this camera and its features soooo gewddddddddd
I Love images Sony Produces, but the 1/3.5" sensor size for the periscope I am worried about... Would have hopen for an increase of that sensor.
Is it possible to shoot 24mp for the 24mm lense in Jpg and in Raw-mode? and are the Raw-photos heavily processed or very natural so I can edit it in LR with full potential?
I will buy it🔥
Was there any post processing of the sample pics and videos you posted ?...
Hey thanks for the review, i have 3 questions
1) how is the stabilisation for videos handheld?
2) would you say the automode would be better than the iphones auto mode? Since i want realistic colours but want to be able to point and shoot when travelling and taking pics and videos.
3) how are the pictures and videos for Instagram? Android videos with Instagram aren't as smooth so I'm curious how it is for this. apparently s24 ultra has improved regarding videos for ig, I'm wondering how it is for the sony.
1) stabilization seems similar to the 1 V
If you shoot 120fps with proper slide movements you would need a gimbal. For normal panning and slide shots on 24/30 it’s smooth, you seldom need a gimbal unless you want to run with it.
2) oh yeah I that I can bet my life on. If you check my instagram stories today you will see some photos. It’s crazy good. You’d want to sometimes adjust the exposure but that’s the same with any phone.
3) That’s more of the Instagram and android issue. Quality isn’t as good when uploading from any and all android phones when compared with a iOS phone.
@@Kohki thank you for your reply. I saw your second story where you're recording the mirror on the street on IG, it's slightly shaky it seems , how is it when shooting 4k60? And that's great I'll keep a look out for when the phone becomes available :)
@@vgplay4850 haha yeah i forgot to switch it back to 24. it was on 120fps lool was a in the moment shot
@@Kohki how is 4k60? And would it be ok to ask to upload a shot of that quality in your story to see how the stabilisation is please?
Question here: As you stated, I also like to use the 35-50mm range on my A7R III - if you set your 'focal length' to 35mm, I guess it will capture a crop of the sensor that is around 35mm equivalent and put this down into a 12 MP image?
I have been really interested in this model. I found last years line-up quite nice too with the 5 V, but I don't like devices that are long but slim in width. With this Mark VI version being more of an iPhone aspect ratio, it makes tiping easier because of the larger keys. If I find good alternatives for my iOS apps, I will certainly buy my first ever Android. A lot of meritorious characteristics on this device. Prefering a fingerprint scanner a lot over Face ID, headphone jack and SD card slot are very nice too because you don't have to buy an insanely more expensive version just to have more storage. Plus, connecting Alpha cameras is a lot easier if you don't need adapters or external software for it. I have always been quite frustrated with importing files from Sony cameras to my iOS devices :D will definitely give it a try.
Quite impressive!
Some sony cameras allow you to load a script program such as one the does focus bracketing so that the shots can be combined later on the computer. Is this possible on the VI ? It has great burst capability....
Let me guess the its a 1 V with a different display and housing and a new software. Basically they could give us 1 V users the software update including the 2x crop on the main.
The new lense for zooming is nice but does not change the fact that the sensor there is tiny in comparison to all other premium flagship devices. 1/3" is way to tiny when the competition is at 1/1.5" or 1/1.4" with way better tele capabilities.
Also makes sense you should only with 1X as the other sensors are rubbish for low light performance.
I am still amazed as Sony has their LYT Sensors that are way better than those used here. Why is Sony shipping outdated sensors in their flagship phone?
It's so disappointing man, I hope there will be xperia Pro coming on the way instead of this glorified 1markV
Stop complaining, you have a mk5 the mk 6 is not going to be much of an upgrade, wait until next year or wait for the new pro at the end of the year. I think smartphone photography is not for you, if you need and crave so much interchangeable lens camera would probably be better.
Great content brother! Do review the VivoX100Ultra ASAP.
Great video. NEW SUB! I'd love to see some footage that is toned down for a moody style that's not so pretty as the flowers. The night photography looked good in that way, but it was more stills oriented. I'm getting tired of trying to find the perfect camera. I'm thinking about getting rid of all my cameras except my X100T and buying an Xperia. Great video!
from your video photography looks better than any other phone out there. question - you mentioned over long zoom there is no degradation of image quality does it means the quality is the same as DSLR with a proper zoom len ? sadly sony took any easy way out & downgraded the screen resolution from 4k to just full HD could have at least put a 2k screen in it
Really, really beautiful shot, Yamaguchi San...
When will it be released in NZ i wonder? I could buy it in Dubai/Abu Dhabi airport if anything
Would love an Xperia myself but currently stuck with S24+.
After watching the video, my first thought was, “This is a smartphone camera? A phone can produce such quality?” The second thing I realized when I saw the results was that it's still a smartphone.
I can't wait to see how much better the Pro-i Gen 2 will be with a 1-inch sensor.
Kohki very nice review! In terms of photos I would think Sony is probably the tops or very very close to it. Where personally I would seriously like to know have they moved into number one or shall I say the best video experience on smart phone. Lets not joke here when it comes to video Apple is best, period. Does this new phone match or go a head of Apple? For me that is the question since I would like to put down my Apple phone and move to Sony, I already have an A1 & A7Siii so absolutely the Sony Xperia 1 VI makes absolute sense to me. Thank You!
Feels like a minor 1 V update. Not worth updating from mine, but probably a fantastic upgrade for anyone with a mark IV. I really hope they start opening their camera firmware up to the camera2 API by the time I want to upgrade (for those not aware, Xperias have really poor compatibility with 3rd party camera apps which sucks when you like using those for certain niche functions).
Are the cameras optimized to social media apps?
Really cool! I still have the Xperia 1 II. It will not break, so I cannot defend buy a new one yet. Maybe next year, if there is a Xperia 1 VII :)
what type of filter did you use in shinjuku?
Thanks for the video. Can you also take low light photos with ultra wide and tele-photo lens and share your opinion. I hope they are improved compared to 1 V. Also, using ND on mobile, looks like only applicable for Sony. Other smartphones are intelligent enough in that regard. Please share your thoughts.
I own the Xperia IV and I've had a Sony phone since the Z1. I've never complained about their update decisions and design choices. However, I have some major issues with the VI.
I love the 21:9 ratio, in my hands it fits comfortably and watching movies on it is a dream. The move away from 21:9 is a disappointment but it's something I can live with.
The move from 4k to 1080p however is absolutely disgraceful. For a phone that costs £1299 and is a flagship for 2024, I expect at least a QHD display to be in line with what Samsung and Apple offer.
I have no idea what Sony were thinking. If Sony doesn't put a QHD display on the VII then I will have to consider going with another brand. A real shame.
You're right
They maybe saved the 2K or 4K for the next Pro-I. Just saying.

I mean, why is your photos so amazing?
One of the reason I choose XPERIA is the sound quality, bet Samsung can't make their phone speaker produce clear and notice able bass like Sony, and it's front facing, super unique!
Ohhh … I really love Sony , but my last phone from them was the XZ1 because they stopped supporting the OS and it was really disappointing, I wish they guaranteed at least 8 years of upgrades to their OS. Can someone tell me if they have improved since 2018?
that girl has energy of an atomic reactor :D those photos are incredible... i wouldnt almost tell its made by a phone.
