      Hi Chris Jesus, forgives us don’t be afraid or listen to lies from the devil, or allow the enemy to guilt trip and condemn you,repentance is turning completely away from the world and sin and relying and leaning on and trusting Jesus this means being honest with him pouring out your heart repenting of the old stuff and asking him for help and everything every day, your body is sustained by God it’s like an impossible miracle to keep everyone just living breathing walking around He is the Lord of Life,God uses weaknesses and sickness to reach us because when we are strong and fit and healthy we are running around doing our thing forgetting God , Draw close to Him put Him first He is well able to heal you and deliver you from the hurts and pain that drove you to drink cast your cares on Him He loves you ❤

    What transparency, you have a beautiful heart, I love how brutally honest you are, and I am still crying- to hear how cruelly you were treated, I'm so grateful for people like you who aren't afraid to share hard things they went through. I laughed and cried, may this testimony reach many people-we need it, and may the Lord richly bless you!

    Wow, what a great testimony! I too lived most of my younger years just lost, going along with the crowd, and became addicted to alcohol to the point I couldn't see my life without it. It was only when I surrendered to God that he freed me and I've been sober now for over 3 years.

    • @movingamountain

    Just finished watching this powerful testimonial. How incredible is the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Grace is the unearned forgiveness that is available only in Christ. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. II Corinthians 5:17

    As I listened to the part where he had the dream and then he felt he was cleansed and forgiven i immediately thought of the story in Matthew 9:2-7 (the man that was sick of the palsy) I believe Jesus knew that this man needed to feel peace and forgiven of his sins, more than he needed to walk and that's why he forgive him before healing him. Jesus has the power to do both but better is to have that peace and certainty that we are forgiven and our names are in the book of life 🙏

    Such Love!
    I've heard that some believe in, that because You're the Son of Elohim,
    You suffered less,
    during Your distress.
    But then, they completely forget,
    that You're the Son of man, yet;
    Which learned obedience through all Your sufferings,
    but always without any sins!
    Thank You, Lord, that during Your life down here, You stood against all kind of temptation,
    to prepare a way for my salvation!
    I'm so grateful for those precious Words in the garden of Gethsemane,
    in the middle of Your agony ;
    "Abba Father....not as I will, but as You will!"
    Nobody took Your life, Lord,
    but You gave it freely,
    went through all the pain, scorn and slaughter,
    because You love us dearly!
    How can I ever comprehend such Love, which eternal life did bestow?!
    All I can do, is believe and receive,
    forever praise Your Name ; which
    salvation for me became!

    My brothers story is so much like this, up until a certain point...
    It feels like he is so far gone. I know Jesus can reach him. But i am scared to try anymore. I've tried some things, gave him a study Bible, sent youtube videos, answered every time he called day or night, etc, trying to help him see. He only ever comes back to me with paranoia. Where did i get the bible that it's speaking to him, but what he says he understands is evil and unbiblical. And the videos, who is this person, why are they typing, do they know who we are. When i answer and listen and talk with him, im wrong about everything, about everyone... im scared to send him anything, to say anything anymore. I just pray.
    I am encouraged by your story today. Im so thankful you came to Christ, and ill never lose hope for my big brother 🙏

However, at the end of his life he seemed to turn to God. His mental state wasn’t extremely coherent at that point, but I remember him wanting to get right with God before he passed.

    Your testimony is amazing...sharing your past and at what age...so dark, so desperate...but always bring it back around...to forgiveness of the things because of Jesus...have you taken each of these incidents before the Lord? Has the Lord healed the CORE issue that drives you? If you struggle, it may be there are other life experiences you need to bring to Him...a great start is the book "bandage breakers"...

    Yes. I understand the bullying. It was bad for me too. They pick on EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING! No matter what I did, said, wore, ate, believed, my being American in Canada & even my parents & family were made fun of. Even the teachers took part & let it happen. Everyday for years. It took me about 20 years for it to fade in memory.

      @movingamountain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds very similar to what happened to me. It does take time to process and understand it all from a new perspective, and even then there are responses we used to deal with the bullying that get ingrained in our subconscious and affect the way we deal with other things later in life. I hope that you have experienced great healing, and can maybe even use those things as a way to help others!

      @movingamountain i think he's kind of gotten away from God a bit and it worries me. I think I'm going to share your video with him. I pray for him a lot. It's been about 25 yrs now. My mom is a nurse so she has given him daily care, but it definitely gets lonely for him. @@rebeccashakespeare8134 I grew up going to Catholic Church too and that’s what I originally went back to after my conversion. It was mostly because that’s what I knew. After a lot of learning and searching I’ve become more Messianic in my beliefs. I think it is important to present Yeshua (The Name of Jesus in Hebrew) as close to who He truly is as possible. If someone grows up with Catholicism, they might have a distorted view of Yeshua, and may not come to Him simply because they think He is someone who He actually isn’t. Loneliness is very difficult, but God is a great help in it. I will pray for your brother to know the comfort of Messiah.

    I’m glad you are doing so much better. You are more capable than you know. The more healthy choices you want to make in life, the more good fruit comes from it. That has nothing to do with god though.
    What if you had picked up the Quran as a young adult in an eastern county? Many of them do and change their ways. They had an experience just like yours. Visions and such.
    Of course, there are bad ideas in the Bible and yet more so in the Quran that if followed today result in suffering for others.
    Why do you think god “saved” you after many years of torment? Why not be the loving god he is supposed to be and give you a dream or vision that could spark your attention sooner? Like, the first time you hit a rock bottom?
    If he was able to intervene in the ways you say he did by keeping you from jail or death so many times, surely he would have had the empathy and power to help you stop the things you didn’t like about yourself sooner too.
    There are of millions of babies, women, men and children that live through horrific things and then die never getting a second, third, or fourth chance like you. They are born in countries where Jesus is not even an afterthought so they would never even know to turn to him.
    I was a Christian for 30 years and realized that this existence is made up of our environments and many decisions, some with unhealthy and unsustainable consequences.
    No holy spirit ever helped me stop watching what I shouldn’t. Or help me see that if I treat people kindly, they tend to do the same. Or that if I get bullied, I have the choice to walk away and choose to never do the same to others since I did not like how it felt myself.
    Life is constant learning and observation. If peace and good choices were only due to the influence of god, then he’s either failing miserably or the other people’s who choose to live by the golden rule that existed before any Jew wrote it down (treat others how you like to be treated) wouldn’t be possible. Yet they are all around us worldwide. In the millions.
    It’s not god. Its people observing the consequences to actions who choose to walk in a better direction because no one wants to suffer in the end.
    If anyone is watching and thinks religion is the answer, just remember they are made up of thoughts people have had since the beginning of time. Some are much better thought out than others. But you have the ability to think things through and choose a healthy lifestyle for yourself - full of peace, health and less drama.

      I can’t speculate on what might have happened if circumstances were different. All I can do is move forward with what I do know. The experience I had in the dream was definitely Jesus, and it was confirmed with supernatural events that shouldn’t be possible. I’ve experienced similar things since then, all involving the God of the Bible. It has been living according to the ways prescribed by the Bible that my life has improved. I don’t believe any of them are bad when understood in the proper context. There are people in different cultures who have also had dreams of Jesus, even though they have never heard of Him. The thing that sets Him apart is that He historically existed, He claimed He was God, and He rose from the dead, something that His followers believed they had witnessed so strongly, that they endured torture and death rather than deny that it happened.
      As to why God would let me do all the wicked and destructive things I’ve done, have you ever let a child fail at something so that they learn from it? Sometimes you have to let people go through tough circumstances in order for them to grow. If you help a butterfly get out of its cocoon, its wings won’t develop properly and it won’t be able to fly. God knew that the amount of growth and the strength I’ve gained from my past experience was worth letting me go through it. He is a loving father and is going to do what’s best for us, even if it doesn’t make sense to us. Jesus went through horrible suffering too, and He was totally innocent. At least for me it was partially the consequences of my actions that led to my suffering, but He did nothing wrong. Yet, through the cross He redeemed the world. Jesus actually gives meaning to suffering. He shows that it isn’t pointless. It can accomplish great things, and ultimately there will be resurrection. That gives me great hope. I fully trust that He has my best interest in mind. It’s not about religious practice. It’s about having a personal relationship with God. If you just do a bunch of religious rituals, that will not lead you to God. Getting to know Him is what’s important. I know Jesus, and leaving Him would seem like ghosting my best friend. Why would I ever do that?

      Let me add, that if one was able to prove, that the only way for addicts to clean themselves up, was if they became Christians, you may have the beginnings of an interesting claim. But anecdotal stories from specific individuals offers no evidence whatsoever of the truth of your claim.
      Because, there are also a huge number of stories of people who got themselves off of drugs, without becoming a Christian.
      I am glad that you cleaned yourself up, but take credit for it. It was you that did it.
      Let me add, that the only reason I am an atheist, is due to lack of evidence for gods.

    • @movingamountain
      @movingamountain  5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Hi Pandstar. Everyone has different experiences and you are entitled to believe whatever you want. For the sake of your soul I hope you will consider what I'm saying too. This video was about sharing what has happened in my life. I don't know if you watched the whole thing or not, but it was about a lot more than simply a change from being not-sober to sober. I never made the claim that someone needs God to be able to get sober. It was actually the other way around in my case. I got sober and then I found God. It was also when I put my faith in Jesus Christ that the guilt and shame I was carrying from all the bad things I did disappeared. Jesus really does offer forgiveness, but if you don't turn to Him to forgive you now, you may find in the future that it is too late. I'm saying this because I care about you. I don't want you to go to hell. Consider that if it really is true that Jesus exists, you may find yourself in for a rude awakening if you reject Him. There is plenty of evidence for Gods existence, but you have to let go of preconceived notions. The Bible says, "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." (Romans 1:19‭-‬20) In my own life the number of supernatural experiences I've had that are completely unexplainable is evidence enough, but unfortunately that isn't going to do much for you. You have to make your own decisions. I just hope you will keep seeking the truth. I'm sure you have had many interesting experiences in your own life, and I would love to hear about your perspective with addiction too. I'm glad you were able to get sober and change your life around. I really do hope the best for you. Grace and peace.
