    There's something kinda important to mention about space stations, especially now that we have essentially space pirates flying around, it's that you can't repair stations unless they have enough MSP in storage or you have an enormous repair/shipyard. So when designing a huge station, you want to put at least double the MSP on it as the "max repair" value, since repairing battle damage costs double the MSP, to give them at least a basic ability to repair.

    Just to add, deployment time can also be effected by ships being inside the commercial hangers themselves. Commercial Carriers with Military Survey fighters inside will easily reset the fighters deployment clocks back to zero.

    Love your playthroughs and tutorial videos. I find it great that there is someone out there as dedicated as you at producing not only Aurora 4x content but tutorials as well.

    Hey just started being attacked in my own system. V 2.1 50 years in
    Can you do a tutorial with early fighting warships preferably easy ones maybe laser or rail guns. Nuclear engines . I’m finding weapons and sensors and beam fire controls very overwhelming and intimidating. If you could also show some examples of fleet management and then if possible send your fleet into a fight to show us how to command it?
    If you have a video already there you think answers this I’d appreciate if your could link it ?

    i hope in the future we can eventually build defensive space stations, i love the idea of giant fortresses orbiting the planet, perhaps weapons and armor that can only be fit on stations, i always imagined them as eventually being large habitat outposts if we wanted them to be, able to store resources and build stuff of their own, well also having defensive options, without a planetary body if we were willing to invest in the massive cost of building such things though not sure we will ever see this path taken in the game, maybe mods someday?

    I have a question. Can Ark module allow population growth on station even if there's no population on planet station is orbiting?

      The dev notes say yes they grow pops at 5% per year of there is space on board. No idea if that is per orbital structure or if all Habs in orbit count as extra space.

    So is the ark module just a orbital habitat module?

      No, an ark module is a module which can transport colonists and creates a separate population in orbit of a population that is not the same as orbital habitats did which were purely just their own infrastructure but in space.
