35 year old black guy here I feel like you guys aren't covering songs but have found a way to filter the energy, soul and vibe every artist felt to us the listeners. I've told everyone I know about you. I'm sure the soulquarians would be proud. "Don't stop the music"
@YairvanEer not familiar with soulquarians I assume, which was entirely about black culture and Oma covers a lot of soulquarian songs. The point I'm making is similar to how when your play an old ps1 game and it's not as good as you remember playing it in 1995. They found a way to make it sound the way it did when on a Sunday morning before church, the way it sounded at the reunion cookout. It's not race, it's culture. If I had a problem with race, I'd have a problem with them and the phrase white people use "cultural appropriation". Also, when it comes to 90s hip hop, where you're from is the entirety of the culture, whether it is from la to the bay, to the electric lady to the dungeon. There was no internet, no forum, just people in different areas making different music because of different lifestyles. Just like being there August 15, 1969 or April 26, 1992. You had to have been there to actually know.
I'm a middle school teacher and it's almost impossible for me to find good music with appropriate lyrics to play while my students work, you guys offer a perfect alternative. Thank you!!
We were walking through Regents Park and heard these beats. Thought someone was playing tracks through a sound system because the sound was so good and the band was so tight. We got stuck there watching and listening from "Do for love" to the end of the set. So good. So fresh. So clean. Thanks for an awesome show. Come tour in South Africa!
Incredible that this was recorded outside and it sounds fresher than most studio recordings. Whoever mixed the sound on this vid deserves a Grammy. You guys are amazing, please keep producing videos like this!
I was wondering why people aren't stopping to watch! Usually, small crowds tend to form whenever there are street performances, let alone one as dope as this!!
Unseen is the skill and effort put into the mix. Sounds incredible for an outdoor performance. I'd be interested to hear how much of that was dialed in and how much was sweetened in post!
It's almost as if you're playing in front of a green screen with how people seem to barely notice you're even there. If I was there, I'd be hanging out and taking it all in!
This was incredible. I clicked to check out a song or two and found myself vibing to the whole thing while guessing what song they were playing each time. Well done boys. Well done!
Love the Vibes. Amazing tight band. Always look forward to your videos. I'm over here grinding my Friday afternoon away cranked and listening these classic vibes!!! Keep em coming fellas. Thanking you!
I love what you do, you have transported me to my youth and I am happy to see young people recreating these great songs that they could not live at the time, just like because of your youth. I love staying like this!
Feet shaking to Sex machine...and i'm laying down on a couch. Way to capture the soul of it all, band. Aaaand they transitioned into Superbad. Gaaaaawdayumn. Drummer is a virtuoso.
You guys are amazing as always! Nostalgia overload for me. I have one request.... please cover Who got da props by Black moon. That would be right up your alley and the beat is a underground classic. Hope you guys do!
Suggestion: At the end of The Real Slim Shady, Chris should play the extra synth part they throw in at the final chorus repeat. Been looking forward to this ever since part 1 dropped! Good work y'all!
Part two of Oldschool 90s HipHop. What's your favorite song?
I like the part where they played the music :^)
wow! James Brown is here!
The correct answer to every OMA question is Do For Love
Drums on Doomsday and So fresh so clean are FIRE
So fresh so clean!

@@YairvanEer in the case of 90s hip hop, I'm gonna have to disagree. Especially the soulquarian collective.
I'm a middle school teacher and it's almost impossible for me to find good music with appropriate lyrics to play while my students work, you guys offer a perfect alternative. Thank you!!
Students will be too busy getting down to focus on their work... Jk this is good focus music

Another one bites the dust after the kid falling down is gold improvisation
Sounds like he had already started the transitional bassline when she went down. 39:40. Just a cosmic coincidence, I think.
The guitar player at 26:16 playing into Explosive before it started is Next Level 🔥🔥🔥
I was wondering why people aren't stopping to watch! Usually, small crowds tend to form whenever there are street performances, let alone one as dope as this!!
It sounds like there might be a crowd behind the camera. You can hear them clap when they take a brief stop in the part 1 video
Unseen is the skill and effort put into the mix. Sounds incredible for an outdoor performance. I'd be interested to hear how much of that was dialed in and how much was sweetened in post!

Look at those kids waking by .... Yet you'd be surrounded by middle aged folk about the same age as your dad's. Class!
Suggestion: At the end of The Real Slim Shady, Chris should play the extra synth part they throw in at the final chorus repeat.
