thank you for making this vid, i dont see any recent post from you so i guess your not checking for your comments. this is the best vid ive seen in regards to terminal mixer. very clear and clean!....i will now brush off the dust on my mixer and give it a try once again....thanks
Jonathan, slightly off topic. I will be ordering my starter setup any day now. I have a Mixtrack Pro 2 and it has been a great learning tool and has been great for small gigs. However, it is not up to par for gigs in the long term. I am looking to upgrade to a more "pro" Serato controller. I was going to order the DDJ-SR with my PA and lighting kit, but have just gotten wind of the TM8. It looks to be a great piece of gear and should be a little better for me. I am learning to scratch, so the large platters and ability to do backspins is a plus, the RGB pads and similar layout to the MTP2 is a plus, the long pitch faders are nice, the 4ch mixer section and mains power is nice, it looks to be as "pro" as any controller this side of a DDJ-SZ...LOL The only downside I am seeing is that I will be making do with the current gear for about 2 months. That is OK as it is a great tool and I have yet to be even close to getting to a point where the MTP2 or Intro is really holding me back. (Aside from inability to hear the cue when the PA is really rockin'.... new cans should help with that) Also, I will have an EV PA setup and 2 Mini Kintas(to master/slave until I get DMX controller), a Chauvet 4Play CL, and a SlimPack 56 to get acquainted with in the meantime as well. Please let me know if I should go ahead and pre-order the TM8 instead of getting the SR.... Thanks again for all of your videos, Hope to meet you someday at a trade show like Mobile Beat, NAMM, etc.... Any input would be great, I plan to order my kit any day soon, as soon as the proper hoops are navigated and I get my business acct. opened and the proper funds deposited... Possibly tomorrow, but more likely next Friday. Keep Shining Brother.... Sincerely, Isaiah Moonshadow Furrow....... Benewah Beats
I bought this last minute when I had a gig and my other mixer was out on loan. found it on Craigslist for $150. Best $150 I ever spent. I love the feel, I like the way it's built. The whole thing is solid. I also own a Pioneer ddj sx which I don't use anymore because this thing took it's place. I love my Pioneer don't get me wrong, but this thing us just so simple to move around in a hurry. Shame it was discontinued.
Very good video, thank you! I have one myself, but I just wanted to know if there is a way to lower or completely turn off the volume of the track coming out of the main speakers when pre-cueing in my headphones? I do not want to be able to hear the song that the listeners can through my headphones.
Hey Man, thx for the explanation. I have a question. How do you conect the turntable with the reloop? do i need a dvs system too, as a Rane serato for the connection?
Can you do a review on the Terminal Mix 4? In my opinion its better then S4 but im not sure. Maybe you could tell me something more. I would appreciate it so much! (sorry for my bad english if so)
the reloop is overall better but if you want to become a club dj the ergo is nice start for the future ddjs you will use at home and the cdjs you will use at the venues
Reloop Terminal Mix all the way. Gives you more options and possibilities, although for Serato you will have to upgrade to Serato DJ to use all options. Still you will have better value for money. Pioneer is always overpriced because of the brand name/marketing. Search for the Gearjunkies Terminal Mix 4 review and you'll know why the Terminal Mix (either 2 or 4) is the best choice.
AoxomoxoA He doesn't sound anything like Harry Potter. I'm guessing you aren't from the UK and are one of those 'foreigners' (for want of a better word) that thinks we all sound the same?

The bottom with the symbol of a cup is the CUP-botton which simply means cue-und(ger. for: and)-play

There anyway to have that turntable stop on the play button in traktor? instead of using the effect?
thanks

change your master volume to cue. You can do it in the middle somewhere

Why shouldn't just put two phono or a second input for CD?
S4, but this is still very good!
