Totally laughed at Chris' response to his favorite Christmas movie. He is just like 'Lord of the Rings'... it's got elves.. jolly man in white.. haha so good!
Lord of the Rings (but only the extended editions) is a perfect Christmas movie. And Chris did make some very compelling arguments. As for your question about foods only made around Christmas, every year, my family makes (or sometimes has to buy) tamales. It's the family tradition, and in my mind, it is not Christmas without tamales.
the Oreo logs are nabisco famous chocolate wafers with like a mixture of whipped cream and a little powered sugar in between each cookie and you can also cover it with the whipped cream mixture then you just leave it in the fridge for a little while
All of the Lord of the Rings movies came out around Christmas. I saw all of them with my family on Christmas. Chris is right, they are Christmas movies 10000%
Try opening the biscuits by peeling paper the hitting it on corner of counter. The sound of the pop is covered by hitting it on the side of counter. It's how I've opened them my whole life
I never realized people opened canned biscuit like that. We always peeled the outside and then wack it against the counter. It opens it and you know when the pop is coming.
That monkey bread would be so good in a savory pizza version with cheese and pepperoni in the middle, and a marinara dipping sauce. the cookie icing hack is brilliant! love that. Favorite Christmas movies are: old school Rudolph, Elf, and A Christmas Story (leg lamp!)
As a chocolatier making hot cocoa sticks multiple times a week started questioning as to why it wasn’t just piped in to the mould as pure chocolate and then topped. So unnecessary with the cocoa powder and icing sugar to me haha
I've seen hot chocolate 'spoons' in stores that are just a block of solid chocolate around the head of a spoon. That recipe just seemed like way more work. Even if you had to temper the chocolate, it seems easier to use just straight chocolate.
I’d love to see Rachel try to make ultimate Christmas log, a Bûche de Noël! It’s quite time consuming but really delicious and perfect for Christmas in the northern hemisphere. I really hope you try out this recipe Rachel! Happy holidays everyone
"uh Rach, you want to put the marshmallows in concentric circles." "No, Mon, *you* want to put them in concentric circles. *I* want to do this." **sticks marshmallow up Monica's nose** Literally the only thing going through my head when Rachel started putting the monkey bread pieces in the Bundt pan 🤣
My boyfriend couldn't agree more with Chris' logic of LOTR (the extended versions) being a Christmas movie! Also I'm with Rachel, I'm so excited for Christmas that I've had baking recipes since January haha!😅
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas ( the live action one) is my favorite Christmas movie. Between the lessons and the crazy humor, it's my favorite movie. It's a bit crude and rude, but sweet as well.
I'm from Poland and christmas desserts here are very poppy seed oriented. Each region has a different tradition of a poppy seed dessert. There is one called "kutia" and it is a poppy seed mass cooked with dried fruit like raisins and candied orange peels. Then it is mixed with soft and squishy cooked wheat grains. You eat it with a spoon. Another dessert is called "makówki" and it is a similar poppy seed mass (without wheat grains) layered with milk-soaked bread (hallah or french bread can be used) in a container. It is then cut like a no bake cake. We also have ginger bread cookies and cakes. Yum! 😋
Chris's answer to the question "what's your favorite Christmas movie?", is my all-time new favorite thing. And Chris...I wholeheartedly agree with you!! 😄
The second I saw this video title, I KNEW I was in for Rachel using the absolute smallest bowl ever to mix ingredients together. Without fail, every time. 🤣
I think the bread would be just as good just cutting the dough into fourths, sprinkling with the cocoa and layering the marshmallows into the bread! You may also get more of the caramelized boots this way!
I don’t really like the Christmas time and Christmas itself because of family issues, but seeing Rachel testing all these Christmas hacks and recipes and just enjoying herself and getting excited for Christmas, makes my day and this time a lot easier and better. Thank you for these awesome videos ❤️
Love this! Little tip for icing bags: clips on the top are your friend! Even the ikea chip clips. Put them on the top and use that to help squeeze the icing down the bag.

I fully associate LOTR with Christmas - the first time I watched them was over a christmas break. I love these and am so happy that you and Chris exist, you're both adorable.
Xmas here is in Summer... so many things we eat are cold. Love the "cheese table" (we call it like that: tray with cheese cubes paired with olives, maraschino cherries, basically anything), Jamón Serrano + melon, and other cool things. That's my Xmas and New Year's dinner. Love, love, love.
I love your videos, but especially this channel when Chris joins in. I hope when your kids are older, they can watch some of them and see how beautiful their parents' relationship is. You guys make my heart so happy.
Rachel: what's your favorite Christmas movie? Me, running through my front runners: Die Hard, the first Harry Potter, Bad Santa, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Nightmare Before ... Chris: LORD OF THE RINGS I literally laughed out loud. I still have to go with Die Hard. "Come out to the coast ..."
When I used to make hot chocolate spoons as a kid I only used melted chocolate and toppings. It's interesting to see so many other ingredients added. Also I love your Christmas outfit. I hope you are doing well and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Lol I love Christopher at the end. He is in every video and I love it and It made me chuckle he said “our channel” lol. I hope my fiancé and I are like you guys when we have kids and have been married a long time!
My family makes Cheese Moons at Christmas - they're a cheese pie crust cut in rounds and folded in half with raspberry jam in the center and a little sugar sprinkled on top
Ah yes - Rudolph. The timeless story of how an innocent outcast can become a hero if the majority decides they can be of use to the whole and keeping leadership elevated in status. Perfect holiday entertainment. (And before anyone calls me a Grinch, I prefer that story better. Much better message.)
Concentric circles… I automatically had the friends scene in my head where Rachel says “No YOU want to put them in concentric circles…I want to do THIS.” While putting them in Monica’s nose. LOL
I love that as a wholesome channel you still say what you think, more specifically the "this looks disgusting" especially when you say it in a singsong manner I love it xD
"St Nicholas du Pele Pork" with mashed potatoes on the feast of St Nivholas.Only make it that day every year. My grown children still love it! For dessert there's clementine oranges, chocolate coins and mini candy canes.
My family Xmas recipe my mum makes EVERY year, is these little round (globe) bite sized cookies made with ground almonds, which have a single clove stuffed into each one and rolled in icing sugar (powdered sugar)- they are SOOOOO good! (Which reminds me, I should get the recipe ASAP so it can get passed down lol)
One that my mom always made, and now I do it as well (partially in honor of her) is Muddy Snowballs. Basically pure icing sugar balls, that you can coat in dark chocolate if you want it slightly less pure sweetness. It is a 1/4 cup potatoes to 2 cups icing sugar (I believe. I made it so often I now eyeball it). You basically want to keep adding icing sugar to HOT mashed potatoes until it becomes thick dough like consistency. Then roll into balls, leave to dry, then put in the freezer overnight. This is so when you melt the chocolate for dipping, the coldness will help it cool more rapidly and solidify on them better without running off as much.
Ahh, my family makes marshmallow crescents every Christmas morning for breakfast! It's just a marshmallow wrapped in half a crescent roll triangle and covered in butter and cinnamon sugar that you bake in cupcake wrappers. They are soo good, especially right out of the oven! Definitely my favorite Christmas food.
The hot chocolate blocks would make great stocking fillers or little gifts for kids school friends if instead of a popsicle stick you used a Christmas teaspoon. You can get packs of them on Amazon quite cheaply and they have cute little Santas and snowmen and gingerbread people on the tops of them. I'm doing something similar this year to decorate my wrapped gifts. A little hot chocolate teaspoon and a candy cane tied with ribbon and then attached to the top/front of the wrapped gift.
I just stumbled onto your Sims 4 videos! Love them! You are probably too busy now but I’d live to see more. No one is making Sims videos from a mom’s perspective. NO ONE! I love when you gush over the toddlers. You could do the ‘Not So Berry’ challenge next. I would love to see Christopher more too. Maybe he could get the Realm of Magic expansion so he could cast spells and base his characters on LOTR characters. Like I’d love to hear Christopher say Gandalf is making a grilled cheese, LOL!

Our Christmas recipe we only make around Christmas time we can ting-a-lings. It’s a pack of butterscotch chips, a pack of semi sweet chips, and a bag of hard chow mein noodles. They’re delicious!
Remember when Chris was like a special guest on the channel? And now he’s claiming it as his 😂
Hhhhhh right! Maybe one day they will alternate making videos in this channel, who knows?😂
Chris's JRR tshirts and Rachel's 'I should've taken a bigger bowl' are constant and I'm HERE for it.
You look there for it from my perspective.
Hello himadri 👋😁
I agree with Chris' assessment of Lord of the Rings being the best christmas movie. Let's be fair.....he made really valid points!
But specifically the extended editions.
The Rankin/Bass 1977 animated adaptation of THE HOBBIT is arguably an equally great choice.
I agree. I'm now convinced.
Editing-Rachel is EXACTLY my brand of humor. I love it.

Instead of a popsicle stick for the pucks, you could use a straight candy cane! Looks prettier for gifting too
I never realized people opened canned biscuit like that. We always peeled the outside and then wack it against the counter. It opens it and you know when the pop is coming.
Me too!!
Same. And everyone I know does it that way too. Anything that doesn't involve whacking it on the counter seems weird.
I peel the outside and twist it open. That’s why I never understand why people jump. Like, you expect it.
I must say I laughed my butt off when you asked Christopher his fav Christmas movie, and his reasoning on why. So funny.

It doesn't taste the same. If you're trying to appeal to someone who's used to Swiss Miss, straight chocolate is a little too different.
thats what i would do, me hot chocolate is just chocolate and milk anyway
