If you're in El Paso, you might be able to check out Blake's Lotaburger. They are more common in NM. If you are a foodie roadie, I would suggest Pody's BBQ in Pecos and Brick Vault BBQ in Marathon. Both are in desert locations, but hey...it's cheaper than Austin.

I hate going to Austin. Grew up in FTW. My older brothers used to buy Coors Banquet beer in 60’s-70s and sell it to fraternities in Austin. Waco was as far south as you could get coors. Used to be such a cool place. Brother went to UT. Lived in apartment on 38 1/2 St. Hell he was nearly in the country back then. He lives in Westlake now and the whole area is a screwed up mess. Traffic bad as almost anywhere in USA. Taxes through the roof. Liberals ruining anything good. Even Valentina’s hauled ass to Buda. Went down for Christmas dinner at Capital Grill. Didn’t want valet parking as I had firearms in vehicle. Like you saw it was going to be damn near $50 to park. Went back and did valet. Gave the kids $50 when they brought my Genesis after supper. They were happy and City got nothing but meal tax. Lol

just tried this for the first time. it is NOT the best burger. why? because they have a Michelin chef who took a great wagyu burger, sells it for $16, and decided to ruin it by forcing pickles on the damn thing which covers up the best part of the burger! i think pickles are fine on a backyard or cheap fast food burger, but forcing it on one of the most expensive burgers in the state that overpowers how great the wagyu/onion could have been just makes this an overpriced burger all day.

Oh man, so many good burger places in town! Next time you're here you need to do a burger tour , and you need try the Leroy and Lewis brisket burger, it's my new favorite burger in town (plus the rest of their bbq meats are excellent as well). Other local favorites are Casino el Camino(this was my favorite before I tried Leroy and Lewis), and Jewboy burgers.

We actually raise our own wagyu (American) and we made some of these at home a few months ago. They're good, but honestly I prefer the texture of holstein beef, and I prefer lamb burgers over that. They're good, but for me it's too much fat.

I don't want to trash this burger because it does look good and I have never tried it. People love it so there is something to it. If I'm ever in Austin I will buy one. That said this is absolutely not 100% real Wagyu beef! No way no matter what anyone says it is. Wagyu beef does not grind well, because it's so fatty and it turns into mush. It is not red it looks really whitest pasty looking color. Those patties don't look anywhere near what 100% Wagyu is.
Love your channel, but have to say Whataburger in Texas is great. In Tennessee, it SUCKS! Don’t get it if you are ever in TN or you’ll be so disappointed 😂

You got to try 50/50 slaters. Not sure they have some in Texas but they have a peanut butter /jelly burger and it’s delicious. Sounds weird but it’s good

As an Austin resident, you were wise to GTFO lol. Tough to afford anything around here and it's gotten to be even less welcoming. Mopac is still a dance with death daily. At least we still have some awesome food places around to enjoy from time to time tho.

I always figured grinding wagyu is a bit of a waste. Wagyu is special because of its intermuscular fat percentage, but you could always just add more fat if you're making ground beef

There are better burgers at the Hyatt centric in Austin. And parking is valet and only like $10 for up to 3 hours or so.

Austin has always been weird, but it's really took a turn for the worse in the last 5 years or so. I avoid it like the plague. No burger there is worth me being there. I'm sure it's delicious though.
Just run your brisket trimmings through a grinder a couple times and fire up the Kettle and save on parking. 43 dollars for parking would've pissed me off.
