it's killing me to watch this with there being dead silence from the crowd when cadarev is absolutely smashing this game to pieces with these techniques, executed so well too
It may be dead silence because there so into it and listening to what he’s saying they are forgetting to react ;)

Game of my childhood, so many memories. Opera House level alwayws scared me, I had been stucked there for ages. Never got past Living Quarters level when I got a bit bigger. Great Run btw.
Tricks looks very accurate... Sad the crowd is so quiet ! Round of applause for all those damn precise tricks !
I like to think that they're left speechless in front of such a skillful demonstration.
Accidentally found a glitch on the ship level where there was a key behind a glass door. Couldn't find the lever to open it, but could see the key right there - so out of pure frustration, started jumping continually at the door and glitched through it. It was a mind-blowing moment as a preteen, thought I'd broken the game 😅 Got the key, and hoped the glitch would work again to get out from behind that door! Some reason, never tried glitches again through the remainder of the game. Always remember it though. Now, seeing this and how many glitches there are is just insane! Never knew this was a thing. You guys have a great memory for all of this!

In other videos you can find comments like 'why is the crowd so noisy??" or "the donations are so annoying!! let the speedrunner talk!!", etc.

Relating to 39:36 I feel I must add that turning the ship upside-down would not change the direction in which you turn the wheel. Rotation is only reversed if you mirror the ship. Presumably this ship just got rotated up-side down. By in-game logic, it would not make sense for a ship to get mirrored. If I missed a joke here, I got wooshed :p

The real question in my mind is why are the levers in the correct position in an upside-down ship? @22:27
And why is the Deck level suddenly the right way round again.
I remember back in the day whenever I finished a level, I thought I'm not going to do it again.
@4:37 Cadarev does a much better job at summarizing the story of TR 2 than TR 2 itself lol
the crowd is not giving a fuck, people checking their phones, etc while cadarev is nailing at every single speedrun trick!

Excellent speedrun. There were a few glitches I'd never seen before. Also, I didn't know you could skip London and the Pacific and still complete the game.

i remember having this game as a kid , my father would not pass 1st level and i thought it was incredibly difficult at the time ! it looks like a nice game to speedrun because of the wallclips and the jumps and routes
I was replaying TR1 when my dad casually sat beside me without saying a word and started reading the TR2 manual that came with the game. Once I realized he got the sequel I flipped and shut the PS1 off to play the new Lara Croft :)
Both my PC and especially myself have been too weak back then 😅
My father beat it and then I overwrote the save by accident and he beat it again. I still can't beat the second level.
To be fair, the game is actually hard for mere mortals. The third game, though, is something else... A total ballcrusher

Incredible display of skill, knowledge and obvious sheer practice and dedication. Great explanations and commentary to bring the viewer into what’s being performed. Fantastic speed run

Im not into watching speedruns usualy, especially with old games, but this one is absolutely fantastic! I was mesmerised from the beginning to the end, maybe that silent crowd was also?

I only know the wall jump glitch on Lara's house with the butler, didn't know about these other glitchs in game stages

i think it's faster to use lvlv skip code, you get speedrun under 5 min :^). this is kinda killing the game joy ( 23 years later)

Man it would be great if we could get a proper tomb raider movie that was actually about tomb raiding with a relatively serious tone and a journey to the center of earth kind of vibe when she gets deep enough they are dinosaurs and shit. Jus sayin

To mee it looks completely random. Must have been someone with a deep understanding of the game engine or just pure luck.
Found by TailsGaming using a position viewer to see exactly where Lara is. Things like stumbles, turning and buffering can then be mapped out to give a consistent path.
Fun fact Lara is technically falling at a high speed during all of this so the game thinks she travelled 150+km in this level.

Hate to be that guy but it drives me a bit crazy when like commentators or in this case players get on some random topic and will completely miss explaining something cool from the gameplay.
So anyway, at 4:10 what did he do to get out of the water to the top of the building?
This is a swim corner bug. Diving at the corner with a good angle will embed Lara into the wall, the game then teleports Lara upwards to get out of the wall. Luckily there is a awning to land on
