Also, vinyl can look very cool on sports cars. ;) Having said that, the idea of tattoos being 'forever' is an archaic notion since we have the ability to remove them for decades now. It's not a big deal. Just be careful not to get hepatitis B or another infection when getting one. Personally, I like temporary tattoos. But I do find tattoos incredibly attractive on others.

It's not a good look.
I wanted a tattoo when I was 18, I said to myself if I still want the tattoo by the time I'm 20, I will get it done. I'm so glad I waited ;) i totally don't want a tattoo now, I think they're really cool, but not for me.

About 5 years later I was working on a dentist office and I was telling some co workers the story about a "dumbass that ...." and this guy walks in the room and says "that was me". Damn we all just fell out laughing. The tattoo artist had done a pretty decent cover and then redid the "Angel" tat on his other arm for free.
See to me the lesson isn't "Don't get a tattoo", it's "Don't get a STUPID tattoo". You get a stupid tattoo in a stupid part of your body, yea, you'll regret that!
What the usual 'guidelines' are for tattoo's: 1. Don't put names of people down that aren't your parents or siblings. 2. Don't put 'something funny' down, unless you are older and you réálly want to. 3. Make sure you are sober. VERY sober. 4. It should be something you wanted for a long time and that dóes have a better meaning than 'pretty picture.' 5. You should print the picture out and stick it on/draw it on. And try to live with it for a week. You'll notice where it should be placed, whether it'll stay covered under your sleeves or clothing. Whether it's also fun to look at upside down (from your own view) and if it looks like spots or stains to others, in which case, the size or design should be changed. 6. Generally, don't put logo's of companies or movies down, nothing that is 'currently hip', no Chanel-logo, no Mercedes logo's, no random cars or vehicles, unless it is absolutely something you réálly wanted for a long time.
I'm not sure how old you were when you wrote that but since this was 6 years ago... maybe now when you read comments/emails/etc. that you wrote 6 years ago... you might think that you wrote some stupid shit? At least here and there? Well... the same applies to tattoos...

I love my tattoos. But I waited till I was almost 30, and really thought about what to get and where to get it. The important thing is to think it through and wait until your certain. It seems crazy to me that in many countries you just walk into a tattoo parlor in the middle of the night drunk and get a tattoo. Here the parlors close around 7 pm and you need an appointment. When you have to wait several weeks you know for sure you`re doing the right thing.
You just know that somewhere out there there is someone looking at that cat tattoo and thinking “now there’s a good idea”. Not me by the way. I’m more of a dog person 😊
I have 3. One on my leg, back, and foot. I don’t regret any of them. I got them at the ages of 18, 23 and 27 and I’m adding on to my recent tattoo. Just think long and hard before you ink yourself.

My very sweet mum, with her floral blouses and red cardigans and loud laugh, this sweet kind lady who works with old people, is absolutely covered in tattoos. She's clever though, she has them in places easily hidden. Anyhow, she was completely fine with me getting a tattoo :) Thing is i'm the quiet nerdy type who you wouldn't expect to have one (or two)

No, problem is that tattoos just don't age well. They only grow muddier in color, darken, and lose their shape.
