- Complete manufacturing of a small workpiece on my diy cnc. CAD/CAM was Fusion 360. Especially the CAM Engine of Fusion is very powerfull.
Allthough the machine used in this Video is not really rigid i was able to achieve good speeds and feeds. It was also possible to create a reasonable surface finish.
Operations:
1. facing stock-material
2. rough adaptive clearing of outline
3. bore holes
4. finish holes
5. finish outline
6. chamfer Top
Part was flipped
7. facing of stock bottom
8. chamfer model bottom

If you want more videos like that one just leave a comment and i will try to run a camera everytime i machine something on my cnc.

I would love to see more videos like this. If you could do a video on the machine detailing the motors and controllers used etc. I would find that very useful. Thank you.

was haben die teile der fräse so gekostet und welchen fräsraum hat sie? überlege, mir auch eine zu bauen.

Kann es sein, dass eine der Gewindespindeln nen Schlag hat? Man hört es bei der Eilgangbewegung und sieht es auch im Schlicht-Finish, dass da ein periodisches Muster entsteht. Kenn ich jedenfalls so von einer schlagenden Spindel, die mit jeder Umdrehung den Schlitten ein wenig verzieht.

Wie sieht den deine Oberfläche nach dem Planen aus? Ist die wirklich zu 100% eben? Oder erfühlt man leichte unebenheiten mit dem Finger? Gerade mit 12mm Fräser muss die Fräse schon gut ausgerichtet sein.

hat deine spindel ne direkte aufnahme für er20 oder haste da ne schnellwechselaufnahme (zb. SK25) drin ??
ich such noch ne aufnahme für sk20, 25 oder 30 welche OHNE pressluft / Hydralulik / Anzugsgewinde auskommt, vielleicht weißt du da ne lösung, auf jeden fall ne gelungene maschine
bei deinem schruppvorgang bist du die ganze zeit im gleichlaufgefahren ein wenig fräserschonenender und effizienter währe das schruppen im gegenlauf weil es ja da eh nicht auf die oberfläche ankommt
und nur das schlichten im gleichlauf

Was für Elektronik nutzt du? Abgesehen von Fusion 360 als CAD/Cam Programm, was nutzt du noch Software technisch und worüber steuerst du deine Schrittmotoren an? Möchte mir eine ähnliche Maschine bauen, eine Auflistung der genutzen Elektronik würde mir sehr helfen, scheint ja nämlich bei dir gut zu funktionieren. Danke für das Video!
P.s.: Wenn du uns ein mal die Gesamte Maschine detailliert zeigen könntest, wäre das wunderprächtig.

Yes, Nathan, the "hardware" is the least hard to do; the controlling part is the "business end" of this project. DIY has a double understanding in the world, I think. There's the poor man's ingenuity and there's the "money no objection" folks and lots of intelligent people watching this and learning.

Warum zum Geier fräst du im gleichauf? Wenn man nicht gerade eine harte stahlkruste hat, bei der einem durch das große hineinfahren der schneide in das Material die schneide Stumpf werden kann, fräst man im gegenlauf.
finde das video cool, will mir selbst eine fräse bauen aber nur mit 400x300 mm Nutplatte ^^ dafür ein sehr robustes construkt für minimale vibrationen und hohe steifigkeit, soll möglichst genau sein ^^

Hallo. Kannst du auch ganze Maschine zeigen? Hast du Maschine selbst gebaut. Was für eine Steuerung und Motoren hast du eingebaut. Wenn es geht um Bearbeitung sieht super aus.

Neverrick LEE Moin, Es handelt sich um eine 2,2kW HF-Spindel. Der Nullpunkt wurde hier über ankratzen gesetzt.

I'm looking at a more rigid machine than my current one, since it is not good with the harder materials.
How did you find an exact position after flipping the part? Did you use center finder inserted in the spindle after milling top waste layer?

It is finally nice to see a DIY cnc ran by a person who actually knows how to machine aluminum. Most of the videos I watch of aluminum being cut on a DIY cnc router they take way too small of steps and feed way to slow. The other thing I notice is very few people climb cut. The only thing I have ever not climb cut on a CNC is flame cut steel. I won't be cutting any of that anyway when my build is finally done but plan on cutting a lot of aluminum. Have you ever attempted thread milling yet?

BIG steppers, BIG spindal.....nothing small about this machine!
I think you need to decrease tool RPM and increase depth of cut or else your cutting tools will become prematurely dull.
shodanxx yeah i know, keep in Mind that this Machine is a homebuilt CNC. -> not very stiff. I will experiment when i have time again.
