Mr. MOFO, built my carbon ugly af chassis, easy peasy construction along with room for the electronics and motor (Surpass). Added 4WS, this thing is a gecko! FIVE gold stars .

you should make some reversed worm rear diffs so that your motor can spin in the stock direction so that the timing is right ,when you add portals

What is the advantage of a 4 link setup over a 3 link? Better articulation, or allow the whole axle to rise up higher?
Are the portals 1:1 or do they offer any additional reduction?

I just received my black hubs, they came with springs, do you have any idea what the springs are for because they are bigger than the hubs themselves and the hubs slide right in the middle of them.
I have been looking at getting some portals for a while, there’s been a couple sets come out & most of them have been 3-d printed I do have one suggestion I have seen several of the options that have started to come out and the ones that I have seen the screwheads on the outer cover of the portal seem to hit the weighted hexes or the wheel weights when you attempt to put them on I would suggest making your screws in the outer cover plate recessed to accommodate for the weighted wheel hexes or wheel weights just wanted to give you a heads up
As i do completely agree with you, however if you are running these brass portals, then id say there would be no need for any extra weights on the wheels. Especially for metal beedlocks. Just another perspective. 🤷🏻

do the portals widen the wheel base then as well? will it be brass or the black coated version?

I been hearing about instances and seeing a video where these mofo portals are failing because there aren’t bearings. Why there are no bearings is beyond me. Get some grit in there and that brass is gonna wallow out. Might as well be made from sharp cheddar cheese. Brass is a soft metal. MUST HAVE BEARINGS. NO BUSHINGS WILL NOT WORK
You would run everybody else out of business
