Thanks. I just finally got this done yesterday. With the right breaker bar and torque Wrench it can be done without removing the side panels and the hard to remove little rearmost floor panel. I cracked that last one taking it out because it was only 21 degrees out yesterday! That big tab sticking in toward the left side really hung-up in the cold weather. So decided to not even bother with the side panels. All in all a real great step-by-step of how it gets done and how easy it is with the right tools.

Sorry to be a year later about the torque specs... But ironically you had them backwards, according to the Haynes Manual the top three bolts are 59 FT/lbs and the bottom big guy is only 41 FT/lbs, I just threw a couple new struts last night in my 06 Vibe. I understand why you got it wrong though. My guess is because the top three bolts receive a direct load while the bottom guy only has to hold the assembly in place, the main load is being put on the shaft you screw the bolt on.

great video. I just did my front struts and will use this to replace the rear struts on my 04 Matrix. Where do you ground your sub? your channel is a great resource for matrix/vibe owners

Good video, and I gave it thumbs up. Word of caution on using a jack handle on the ratchet: the ratchet internals may not take the torque... you might well have the ratchet gears break, potentially smashing your fist on something hard, and having to replace your nice tools. Other than that, good job!

Thanks Wolf! This was clear and easy to follow. Also, I like your shoes!
I’m 23 and have been learning how to repair my car, so it’s cool to see a fellow young mechanic.
    Cheers bro!

Dude, Dont get under a car jacked or standed in unpaved ground. I've seen it where people get crushed

Somewhat complicated for a DIYer. Might let the mechanic do
